Editorial photography is storytelling, with each photograph feeling like they belong to a larger narrative. Editorial photography is about context and environment. It’s about where people are, and what surrounds them. It’s all of the details coming together to create this visual story of your wedding day. Editorial photography is about variety – wide establishing shots, portraits, details, interactions. It’s about the architecture, the atmosphere, and how all of those pieces work together as a visual story. Thinking and working as an editorial photographer means I am anticipating moments, building narratives, working with the given environment, and making photographs that communicate something beyond “this happened.” Documentary Rather than posed shots, photojournalistic-style wedding photography captures candid, spontaneous pictures. Documentary is the unscripted moments as they naturally happen. It’s all about those in-between moments that often go unnoticed. It’s about observation rather than direction.
