You’ll see the word editorial thrown around a lot. As two classically trained editorial photographers, let me toot my own horn. True editorial photography is the most technical of the wedding photography society. It’s a natural eye for movement and framing, it’s years in light training and color theory.
Rather than posed shots, photojournalistic-style wedding photography captures candid, spontaneous pictures. It’s all about those in-between moments that often go unnoticed. We are prompt-based, as opposed to posing-based. Lifestyle documentary is candid, yet done with some direction and styling—it has an approachable feel and a relaxed result.
We capture intentional art. We’ll capture those light, bright, and airy photos. Fine art wedding photography is a middle ground between spontaneity and a styled photoshoot.

Sophie was AMAZING to work with! Our engagement session was so fun and laid back, and it was the perfect precursor to our wedding. Sophie scheduled a check in two months before our wedding, created our timeline, advised us throughout the process, and made sure everything would run smoothly the day of the wedding. She helped out SO MUCH at the wedding from coordinating with other vendors, managing the bridal party, having extra supplies like safety pins and a fan, and really just went above and beyond. All of our friends and family had so much fun with her and her assistant shooter! We really wanted to do more candid photos and Sophie was 100% the photographer for us. We received our sneak peaks early and the photos are absolutely gorgeous! We, our friends, and our family are blown away. HIGHLY recommend hiring Sophie for your wedding!!

Hiring Sophie was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! From start to finish, she was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond in every way.
Her communication was flawless—she was always available to answer questions, offer guidance, and even help us with planning details. On the wedding day, she made us feel so comfortable and natural, like we were hanging out with a close friend. She had a way of making us laugh and enjoy every moment, which made for such genuine, beautiful photos.
The quality of the photos? Stunning. She captured every detail and emotion perfectly. We were blown away by the sheer number of sneak peek photos she delivered so quickly, and the final gallery was everything we could have dreamed of and more, all delivered on time.

I cannot say enough good things about Sophie. She has that rare ability to everyone feel comfortable while she photographs them and is able to capture and make every moment look stunning and effortless. She was great about inquiring what we wanted for our wedding photography and giving her insights and advice throughout the process to make everything come together to achieve our vision. Her experience and professionalism was extremely valuable and her direction and attention to detail helped to make us feel taken care of on such an important day of our lives. The photos she took for both our engagement and for our wedding day superseded our expectations and we absolutely love the entire collection she made for us. I highly recommend her if you’re looking for a wedding photographer who cares deeply about making each of their clients visions come to life for every special occasion.

Sophie was amazing throughout the planning process and the day of! She communicated often leading up to our big day, even reaching out just to check in on us. She was very organized and put us at ease the day of the wedding. Anything we wanted, she supported us on! She knew exactly what she was doing and we are so excited to see our pictures! We would highly recommend Sophie!

OMG! Sophie and Tonya were nothing short of phenomenal to work with for our wedding on June 15, 2024. She was relatable, fun and really made efforts to keep my schedule and bridal party moving!
My guests enjoyed working with her and even my husband mentions how much he enjoyed her and Tonya making their day fun in the heat!
Sophie was diligent, attentive and really cared about making sure I got all the photos I wanted. She talked me off a ledge when I was panicking and made taking wedding photos feel so natural. She also was incredibly helpful in setting up a consistent payment plan and was so easy to communicate with via email and text. I would 100% recommend Sophie and Tonya to anyone that is looking for a photographer for really anything. We are beyond excited to get our photos back and hope to remain friends. Thank you for everything you did for us to make our day special!!!

Sophie is amazing! We were so thankful we found her to do our photography. We met up a few months before the wedding to discuss what we were looking for with style and to just get to know each other. She is so easy to talk to and on top of all the prep (even more than our day of coordinator)
On the day, she arrived on time and prepared with our schedule and second shooter. Having Sophie (and Tonya!!) around was a pleasure and we had such a fun time with them throughout the day. For portraits, she was so efficient, especially with our grandparents who couldn't stand in the heat for as long. We were comfortable being ourselves and knew we were in good hands. It is really hard to come by especially for queer couples. Sophie made us feel seen as we see ourselves and got some really incredible shots from our big day!!
We couldn't get enough so we also booked headshots for the both of us a few months later. Top notch person who is just going to get better and better as her career goes on!

THE BEST. Sophie absolutely killed it. We were obsessed with our engagement photos and knew Sophie would be great for our wedding. She was efficient and made the daunting ideas of a thousand photos not feel daunting. We have yet to see our full album but the sneak peeks we have seen are absolutely AMAZING. She is great to work with, will provide her opinion if you ask and will help you feel like a sane bride as other vendors are stressing you out. 12/10 recommend Sophie!

Sophie was our wedding photographer through RJ Donnelly Media and she was fantastic! She got all of the shots we wanted and our photos turned out great. She was very responsive and got both our sneak peaks and final gallery to us ahead of promised time. She also did a great job corralling our large families into great family photos. I would definitely recommend her to future brides!

My fiancé and I had the pleasure of working with Sophie this past Summer for our June wedding, she was so accommodating and helpful every step of the way from the day we discussed our plans to the day we tied the knot! She brought so much energy to our day and kept everything running smoothly! We didn’t have to worry about a thing and Sophie was so prepared to make our day a breeze. Sophie accepted to photograph our wedding 2 weeks before on a last minute request. We're so glad we found her, and she was extremely flexible and listened to every request we had for photos. She is extremely helpful and prepared, and asks detailed questions about your event/ wedding day and provides an itinerary for you and her to go over and agree on with shot list examples. It was a relief to have all of that decided and planned before the wedding and it went very smoothly. 10/10 recommend!
