Sophie's Bakery was certainly a highlight of my wedding! I was raised on the idea that the only reason you go to a wedding is for the cake. So choosing a good bakery was a big deal for me. Prior to booking them, we purchased the tasting samples. All of the samples were amazing and my now-husband and I knew we had a winner. We sent photos of cakes that we liked from the website and we were so pleased with the final product. Working with Sophie's Bakery was easy. We selected two fillings, raspberry and peach, which we had sampled before and we loved. I was so excited for the cake at our wedding and my mind was blown when there were pieces of fruit in the filling which just completely enhanced my feelings towards the cake. I enjoyed all of my experiences with Sophie's Bakery and I would absolutely recommend them for your wedding, event, or when you just have a hankering for a great cake!

Sophie's Bakery has lots of different flavour options for both cake and frosting, which was great as we knew we wanted something other than traditional wedding cake. Both bride & grooms cake were highly customizable. I requested a screen printed image for the groom's cake and it turned out wonderfully! Additionally, instead of having to peal off the top layer to save for our anniversary, we had a whole special mini-cake delivered for us to take home and save! The cost was great and Sophie's Bakery was communicative and easy to work with! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for cake for their event!

We used Sophie’s for our wedding. The positive is that they make amazing gluten free options, which is hard to find. We had a cake and the tartlets and all were excellent. They showed up on time and set everything up for us. My only complaint is that they gave us the wrong wedding cake flavors. I emailed to notify of this and never heard a response. A simple “I’m so sorry” goes a long way, but instead we heard crickets and I did not get what I paid for.

Always knew that when I'd get married in Fredericksburg, we would use Sophie's Bakery for the wedding cake. My family absolutely loves Sophie's Bakery so of course we used it for my wedding, which was the perfect choice. The cakes were beautiful and they tasted amazing! Had no problems whatsoever and the cakes were everything I wanted!

The cake was so delicious and beautiful. It was exactly what I wanted and they even use my custom decorations.

They did a fantastic job! The cakes and cake pops were beautiful AND delicious. Everyone loved the cake. Our wedding was Sunday and it’s friday now and I’m still eating on the cake pops!!! We wanted our cake done locally and our wedding was on Sunday. That’s inconvenient for most, but Sophie exceeded our expectations!!! I definitely recommend!

Our wedding cake was absolutely beautiful and then when we cut it it got even better. It was so delicious!! And our grooms cake was perfect!! I didn’t want to cut it and mess it up but had to knowing how delicious it would be! We were not disappointed and you won’t be either!

Our cakes from Sophie's were beautiful and tasted delicious!! You cannot go wrong ordering from her. We showed her Pinterest pictures of what we envisioned for both the bride's and groom's cake, and in reality, they were even better than the pics! She's an absolute artist and will customize your dream cake. Communication with her office was easy and quick as well! If you are looking for a great Hill Country vendor, we highly recommend Sophie!

Sophie's cakes are absolutely delicious. Our display cake was white with peach and Bavarian cream fillings, and it was seriously to die for. However, a few things went very wrong. First of all, I had ordered the display cake (60-75) servings, and another cake for the other 60 servings. We had discussed that the extra serving cake would be in the caterer's kitchen, so they could be easily pre-sliced and served. However, after cutting our display cake, we soon realized that the other cake was nowhere to be found - it was not delivered. We called the bakery, and our phone call was returned about 45 minutes later. Our money was refunded for the cake that was not delivered on time (they did end up bringing it, but all but a handful of guests had already left). I felt that not enough was done to make up for this monumental mistake; the apology that I received was "we certainly apologize for the inconvenience and our mistake," in an email. Another issue was our display cake had a very noticeable defect (it looked like a bubble the size of a half-dollar on the top tier).

You cannot go wrong with anything you choose from Sophie's! I've been eating the cake for years, whether it's for birthday, anniversary, graduation, wedding ... you name it! Choosing Sophie's Bakery for our cakes was by far my easiest decision.

Sophie's made, hands-down, the best wedding cake I've ever seen or eaten. My husband and I are not cake people, and originally only wanted a cake for tradition's sake. But oh my goodness, I had no idea cake could taste that wonderful. And it was so beautiful, too - absolutely stunning. We changed our cake design a few weeks before the wedding, and Sophie was so accommodating and willing to help! They even made tartlets for the groom's dessert, since my husband loves pie. Everybody agreed that they had never had better cake or pie in their lives. We've even gotten requests from family to order future cakes & pies from Sophie's! Definitely would recommend!

Made our wedding cakes for our last minute wedding (only a months notice) and did an amazing job making our vision of a rustic naked cake come to life). The cakes tasted excellent also! Got so many compliments on the cakes! Highly recommend...

What a wonderful experience!! Not only are all of their cakes DELICIOUS, Sophie's really made our vision come to life. They did a top-notch job on both my semi-naked cake and my groom's pretty specific themed cake as well. I cannot recommend them enough!! Thank you for everything!

We used Sophie for our wedding cake and for some Key Lime Tart Minis for the groom. Everything turned out incredibly well. The cake was just as we wanted it to be and the flavor was incredible. I had so many people coming up to tell me that it was the best cake they've ever had. We had a vanilla cake but I asked to have amaretto included in the cake. WOW! It was amazing!! Customer service was wonderful as well. I would recommend Sophie's Bakery to anyone getting married in the Fredericksburg area.

Sophie's cakes are seriously to die for and she is a true professional. We are from out of town, so we had to do a to-go tasting when we were in town for other wedding errands and she made it super easy. At the wedding, everyone commented on how delicious the cakes were. Not only that, they were beautiful as well and reasonably priced. The way she arranged the flowers on the tiers of our wedding cake made it look just like my "Pinterest cake." The groom's cake was especially a hit- we had a Texas shaped cake with a fondant flag draped across it and a 3-d armadillo (I was named after Steel Magnolias, so I had to work an armadillo into the groom's cake somehow!). Overall I would highly recommend!!

Our cakes were absolutely delicious (our friends and family are still raving about them), and Sophie and her staff were helpful every step of the way! My husband didn't get to try his groom's cake, and has insisted that we make a special trip to Sophie's Bakery soon to recreate his cake. (SHHH...we'll be making a special trip for his birthday next year...don't tell!)

Our venue had recommended Sophie's Bakery for our cakes and we are so glad they did! We had her do both our brides cake and grooms cake and they were both absolutely gorgeous and so delicious! The brides cake was exactly like I dreamed it would be and the grooms cake was actually so much more than I expected! She was very helpful and accommodating through the entire ordering process and delivery and everything in between. Everyone loves the cake and I highly recommend her.

We used Sophie's bakery just for the brides cake, the groom was having cobbler. We had a carrot cake that was the "naked" design and it was FANTASTIC!! This had to be the most amazing carrot cake we've ever had. I would highly recommend them for any occasion.

If you are doing your wedding in the Fredericksburg area Sophie's Bakery is the way to go! We absolutely loved our cake not only how it looked but it tasted just as good. Sophie was able to design our cake just like the picture i sent her. We choose the white cake, white buttercream frosting, and peach filling. One word DELICIOUS! We got so many compliments from our guests that it was the best wedding cake they had ever had. We agree and can't wait to pull the top out on our 1 year anniversary!

My Groom had a special request to have a Yeti Cooler cake. Yes, a cake in the shape of a Yeti Cooler...including all of the stickers he has adorned on his own Yeti. And they delivered it perfectly! He could not have been happier! Not only was it delicious, but stole the show!

Our cake was beautiful and delicious. It turned out exactly as planned. The prices were very affordable and I loved that you could plan a tasting. I would highly recommend them

There was no doubt who we'd be going to for our wedding cakes. Sophie is known around Fredericksburg for her incredible cakes and service. The bride's and groom's cakes were both executed perfectly, tasted great and were affordable!

Holy cow, what good cake! I can't say enough good things about Sophie, her staff, and her cake. We had a three-tier wedding cake with blooms provided by our florist that Sophie put on a gorgeous, pinterest-worthy cake stand, which had a layer of carrot cake with cream cheese icing and white cake with peach preserve filling - it was out of this world. Sophie also worked with my mother to create a Steel Magnolias-style armadillo groom's cake. The prices were very reasonable, even for the custom cake. Sophie herself was wonderful to work with and very responsive. I'd recommend her bakery to anyone with taste buds.

Our Sophie's Choice cake was so beautiful, we felt guilty cutting it, but the delicious melt in your mouth taste washed away our guilt. Sophie was very patient and kind while we looked at photos of her beautiful creations and decided what we wanted. We created our own unique style by stealing ideas from 5 different cakes and letting Sophie create a masterpiece. Later, we even ordered a different cake for our rehearsal dinner. Sophie listened to the Swedish groom's description of a Princesstarta from his homeland and made us one for the rehearsal dinner. Very accommodating!

The cake was fresh and beautiful. They delivered everything and took care of every detail. There was not one minute during my planning that I worried about my cake. It tasted fabulous and looked amazing. I would use Sophie for my cake everytime.

The main thing I was looking for in a wedding cake, was that it tasted good. I wasn't planning on having a extravagant design, I just wanted a simple, good tasting wedding cake. And Sophie's Choice is the best wedding cake I tasted. My wedding was in San Angelo, and their bakery is in Fredricksburg, about 30 minutes away, and they delivered the cake on the day of. Even with travel, their priced were better than some of the local San Angelo bakeries. We had over 250 people at our wedding, so we got a 5 tier white cake with peach filling and butter cream frosting. They were easy to work with, very sweet and kind of old fashion. I started trying to work with them over email, and they told me that the lady who checks the email only works a few days a week, so there might be delays, and phone calls were better. This old fashioned element was great and made me feel even better about the quality of my cake.

So many people rave about the grooms cake and forget about the brides cake. Not at our wedding!! Sophie made both of our cakes taste amazing and everyone loved them both so much!!

We were introduced to Sophie's Choice since we were having our wedding in Fredericksburg, TX. Sophie and her team were so easy to work with, especially since we live in Houston. They had great ideas for the groom's cake of Wrigley Field and easily replicated the simple design of my bridal cake. Both our cakes tasted wonderfully and were exactly what we both envisioned. If you are getting married anywhere in the hill country I highly recommend using Sophie's Choice.

Excellent cake - excellent price - excellent presentation. Instead of Groom's Cake she made pecan pie tarlets which were wonderful. She also made chocolate covered strawberries that were a huge hit.

Sophie did a fabulous job on our wedding cakes. She sat down with us and went over all the pricing options and cake choices and helped us to find what worked for us. Both the bride's and groom's cakes turned out absolutely perfect..exactly what we wanted and were amazing. She makes the best cake and while on the pricier side, the quality of cake and service are more then worth it!!

The cake was absolutely perfect!! It was beautiful and tasted fantastic! I have no complaints.

She was so easy to work with. The cake was really good.;Clarify any colors that you want on the cake. I wanted a band of mauve pink around each layer but the color came out baby pink. Way off from what I wanted.
