On our wedding day, she went above and beyond. She coordinated seamlessly with our vendors, handled unexpected situations with grace, advocated for us, and made sure everything ran smoothly. She even helped us extend our photography time and made sure we actually had a plate of food to eat!
More than just our coordinator, Soraya was our advocate, problem solver, and calming presence throughout the entire process.
Looking back, we feel incredibly lucky to have had Soraya by our side. She played a huge part in making our wedding day so memorable, and we would choose her again in a heartbeat!
Soraya did an absolutely amazing job coordinating our Indian-American fusion wedding. We had her month-of planning service, but it felt like we were lost until she came on board. She had ideas, recommendations, and most importantly took things off our plate at the time we needed it most. Once she was fully on board, it was like we were able to breathe again knowing that someone else knew everything that was happening and we could trust her to execute. There were things that I thought she would've surely forgotten about that she had already researched and presented options for before our next meeting. It was also great seeing how she calibrated the recommendations to our taste, budget, and vibe as we got deeper into planning. She also understood the Indian customs, food, and family dynamics involved in each event. She was so generous with her time and so pleasant to work with even during times when we were probably driving her crazy. We were sometimes able to bend the rules or have some space to negotiate because of the trust that other vendors and our venues had in her, which was a huge plus that we didn't even consider when booking a day-of coordinator.
Skip to the wedding weekend, Soraya had everything organized and ready. We had a pretty intense schedule (3 events in one day, plus more the next day) and Soraya did it without a hitch. She knew how to handle each side of the family so that we could get everything done and stay on schedule and she did it without being rude to our guests. She informed us when we needed to know about things, and kept us out of it when we didn't. We could really trust her to act in our best interest which is so important for the wedding day. We'd recommend Soraya to anyone planning a wedding, especially if you have multicultural and complex elements to it!

Both her mother, a master interpreter of multiple languages, and her father, who came from a diverse ethnic background, taught her how important it was to understand all walks of life, beliefs and family traditions. Raised in a multi-faith home, Soraya Belgacem began her deep connection with different cultures from a young age. With a mother who is a master in multicultural language interpretation, and a father who has a diverse ethnic background, Soraya’s upbringing taught her how important it is understand all walks of life, beliefs, family traditions, and the challenges that come with them. These challenges would later become the inspiration for Soraya’s passion for working within a multicultural environment.
