I will forever and always suggest Sorellas. The hardest part of the whole thing was picking flavors because everything was good. Because I'm all about dessert choices I asked if I could have 3 flavors, and there was no issue (hubby said we just needed 1- ha!). The buttercream is literally perfect- not too sweet, not too buttery, and not fake tasting at all. I was kind of dreading picking a bakery because so many bakery's buttercream isn't good, but this was literally love at first bite. I had a bunch of pictures and inspo and they managed to beautifully combine just about all of it into a beautiful 3 tier cake. I wanted bold, possibly matching my bridesmaid dress colors, some sparkle, and flowers... They really delivered!! There were hand piped dahlias that'd gold painted on to really pop, and I just left a ton of extra flowers at my venue, and told them to communicate they could pick whatever they wanted since I didn't know what my cake was going to look like. I ended up emailing like, 2 weeks before, just to confirm and ask if I had enough or if I should add more; decided to add more and they adjusted the flavor ratios throughout my order. I wanted to save the top for myself so I ordered a half sheet just to be safe- the venue staff ended up cutting the pieces smaller than expected- I had almost the entire 3 tier cake left... I wish my guests would've gotten more cake but I was really happy to have so much leftover because it was SO dang good. I think I had enough for like, 190 ppl. The staff was so sweet!! I wasn't there for delivery, but I was told they were wonderful. There were a couple guests picking up orders during my tasting and consult that told me how good it was and not to waste my time with anyone else- I'll now be one of those people! You won't be disappointed!! (the pic of me eating cake is 100% candid, booty wiggle level happiness (iykyk)- the perfect food to end the wedding day hunger
I am absolutely thrilled with the wedding cake we ordered from Sorellas! From the moment we stepped into their charming shop, we knew we were in good hands. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help us create the perfect cake for our special day.
Evan, our cake decorator, truly took creative freedom with our vision, and it turned out even more beautiful than we could have imagined! We decided on a three-tiered masterpiece featuring lemon, funfetti, and carrot cake, and it was incredibly delicious! Each flavor brought something unique to the table. The lemon was refreshing, the funfetti was a delightful nod to childhood, and the carrot cake was moist and spiced to perfection. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how delicious it was!
Evan’s attention to detail was remarkable, and the elegant floral accents he added perfectly matched our wedding theme. It truly was the centerpiece of our reception!
What impressed us even more was how well the cake held up throughout the day. It remained moist and fresh, even hours after being cut.

I found Sorella's last minute through a Facebook group for brides and they were great! I ordered a single tier bumpy cake with buttercream frosting for my wedding, and WOW! One of the best cakes I've ever eaten. I sent them an image of what I wanted and they delivered. Super affordable too, only $300 for a cake that serves about 60 people and that included the delivery. I would definitely order from them again.

We worked with Evan to plan the cake for our wedding from the tasting to the cake design to the "BIG DAY". It's funny, as with all the planning we did for our wedding, I have to say I was most pleased with the cake! First of all, Evan was very organized and created a folder for us the first day we came in, so he could capture our preferences. Then, when we came in the finalize the details, he pulled out our folder, carefully documented everything, and he was very knowledgeable about options and cost. We told him what we wanted, and he created something so beautiful, and I was so happy with how the cake looked AND it tasted WONDERFUL!!!! The professionalism, the organization, the experience, the cake design, and quality taste were all a wonderful experience. I also love how they bake you a special cake for your one-year anniversary so you don't have to worry about saving a freezer burned top layer! Thank you, Evan, and thank you Sorella's! Wish I had a piece of that cake right now!
I absolutely loved the cake. It did well for being outside in the heat in mid-June. They were easy to talk to and get things finalized with. Super helpful, hands down the best customer service and most importantly, the most delicious cake.
We selected Sorella's for our wedding after trying a sampler package and we were very happy with the options and flavors. We went with a small tiered cake just for us, and sheet cakes for our guests. Sorella's was very helpful in helping us plan for our estimated guest count and making sure our cake was decorated how we imagined it. They delivered to our venue on the wedding day and were right on time. So many of our guests complimented the cake and said it was the best they ever had at a wedding!
The only bakery I'll ever go to for my specialty cakes! Not a crumb was left over and the entire process of ordering and accepting delivery was seamless. Sorella's is hands down the only way to go when you need superb customer service with a delicious and beautiful cake to match!

We loved working with Sorellas for our June wedding cake! We chose three different flavors - lemon cake with raspberry preserves, german chocolate cake with raspberry preserves, and red velvet with cream cheese filling. All three were so tasty! It was a breeze working with the team on design, and of course, the price was right. We can't wait for our free anniversary cake next year!

Sorella’s did an amazing job with my wedding cake. They were extremely accommodating of allergies (tree nuts) and took every measure to make us comfortable. Before Sorella’s, I did not think it would be possible to order a wedding cake that our Guests with nut allergies would be able to enjoy. The cake both looked and tasted great! The best cake ever!! I used sorellas custom cakes for my wedding and cannot recommend them enough. I am a baker myself so it was hard to find something up to my standards and their cake exceeded my expectations. They were so easy to work with and have the most delcious cakes (and cake pops).

We got married at the Lovett Hall last October, and had Sorella's make our 4 tier cake. I specifically wanted a champagne flavored wedding cake, which was hard to find! Then I came across Sorella's. We went in for a tasting and I discussed my dream of a champagne cake. Monica was able to do a second tasting, customizing a flavor for me and making the cake with real champagne! She also made a delicious champagne mousse to go inside, and we added a raspberry layer as well. On the day of the wedding, Monica expertly placed the flowers from Vivianos between the layers of cake. Both the look and taste of the cake were beyond what I could have imagined. Monica truly made my cake dreams come true! I 100% recommend Sorella's, especially if you are looking for a custom flavor.
The owners and staff at Sorella’s Custom Cakes in Livonia, Mi were professional and friendly. We worked primarily with Monica, one of the owners. She was wonderful to work with. She was very willing to meet our needs and concerns, even being open to baking a few vegan options. The result was a beautiful and delicious product: a vegan cake and an assortment of cupcakes based on our choice of flavors, fillings and icing. They were prompt and talented in the display setup. We were delighted in the results and highly recommend them.

Neither one of us are really big on cake so the ladies at Sorellas created a cheesecake wedding cake for us and it was soooooo good. We hired Sorellas for our wedding and they did an amazing job with our desserts and small cake. The Sorellas team was fantastic from start to finish. We went the non traditional route of doing little desserts for our guests and a small cake for cutting and it was the best decision ever. I was a little nervous all of the tiny desserts we ordered would be too much, but everything came together and it turned out amazing. From the tasting to the decision process, Sorellas made it an effortless process. We received only positive feedback from our guests on the desserts and the cake. During my wedding planning process, a cake was the last thing on my mind. I'm someone who doesn't care for sweets, so having a cake was not a huge priority for me.

I will say without a doubt, Sorella's made the best cake I have ever had in my entire life. For someone that doesn't like sweets and typically never goes for cake, I could have eaten this entire thing! My husband and I went decided on a funfetti cake with strawberry mousse and white buttercream frosting. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, was raving about the cake and how wonderful it was! I can't wait until our 1 year anniversary so I can have it again! Thank you to Monica and her team for creating the most delicious cake that still makes my mouth water!
We used Sorella's for our wedding cake and were so pleased with the service provided and the cake itself. We just needed a small cake for cutting as we had a large dessert table provided by our wedding venue, and Sorella's provided us with the perfect, simple cake that was SO delicious! Sorella's made a beautiful 2-tiered cake for our wedding. They made sure that our cake look and tasted exactly the way we imagined it when we did our initial tasting/planning meeting. They have so many options for flavors and made us feel very catered to when choosing the design for our wedding cake. They delivered the cake to our venue with little to no effort on our part, which made it so stress free. All of our guests loved the cake and I was able to choose Funfetti, which made our wedding so much more personal since that is my favorite cake flavor!

We hired the Sorella’s team to make a cake for our June 2022 wedding. In a world where bakeries regularly refuse to provide their services to weddings like ours, we were absolutely delighted to find this inclusive gem near our wedding venue. The at-home cake tasting was easy and took so much pressure off one of the biggest decisions for our event. Monica was a joy to work with and designed a beautiful cake using the colors and design aesthetic from our invitations and guest favors. Above all, the cake was delicious! We received so many compliments, and we’re already excitedly planning our one-year-anniversary cake order!

On top of looking incredible, the cake and EVERY SINGLE DESSERT tasted amazing. Our guests were raving about the desserts, especially the cake pops! They are very reasonably priced, and their customer service is impeccable. They are a bakery with wonderful values, and it's obvious they take care of their employees and love what they do. Let me tell you - Sorella’s is now the only place I will buy a cake. They did a gorgeous job with our wedding cake. I highly recommend the carrot and cherry chip cake - also ask them about the French toast cake because it is LIFE CHANGING. Their fudge frosting is also the best fudge frosting you will ever eat, guaranteed. Could not say enough good things about these awesome ladies!

Monica was wonderful to work with remotely, very responsive, and gave good feedback on how to make our vision happen, including figuring out the right size. Our cakes (small cutting (carrot) and two sheet cakes (white and bumpy)) turned out beautifully and were delicious. We got lots of compliments from the guests, especially on the white cake. The only problem- we wished we had had more to bring home with us! Definitely recommend giving them a taste.

Sorellas made the most amazing cupcakes for our wedding! Monica did an amazing job - she was so personable and fun! She had great ideas about how to make the best cupcake display and how to personalize it. Monica made it so special for our big day and made sure that both my husband and I got our favorite flavors for some of the cupcakes (kit kat and oreo). Our guests RAVED about cupcakes and everyone talked about how they kept going back to get another cupcake! We actually saw one of our guests take one cupcake to their seat, take a bite, and immediately get up and get 2 more!! We absolutely loved all of the cupcakes!!

We found this bakery through the Knot with the criteria being close to our home and close to The Inn at St. John's. The staff was amazing to work with throughout the process. We ended up choosing this cake service because they were the only company that provided us in-store cake tasting during the pandemic. They were support accommodating to our needs, style, design, etc. Sorellas does require you to do all transactions in store, but we had no issues on the day. The cake and cupcakes were delivered on time and tasted really good! My husband is not a sweets person but loved the frosting and cupcakes from Sorellas! Plus, we got a lot of compliments from our guests and how good and how fresh the cupcakes were! Thank you, Sorellas!
My husband and I absolutely loved our cake from Sorella's for our wedding! They were super generous during our tasting time since we have many dietary allergy needs we were able to try every combination we wanted for vegan and gluten-free options. They have very affordable prices we were able to get a two-tiered cake all vegan cake, a dozen gluten-free cupcakes and a sheet cake within our price range. They all turned out beautiful and we especially like the raspberry filling!
This bakery was a godsend when our original bakery canceled on us for our COVID-postponed wedding. They are reasonably priced, accommodating and absolutely delicious. The tasting process was fun and easy and we got compliments for months from wedding guests on the cake. They were able to provide dairy and gluten free options for dietary-restricted guests as well. Cake design for our 2-tiered cake was easy, I gave them a picture to go off of and they recreated it beautifully.
Sorellas made us our dream cake, which was not a cake at all, it was a cookie tower!!! We were so thankful they were willing to work with us to create something unique for our wedding. The cookies were delicious and Sorellas was so wonderful and flexible during COVID postponements. The team there was personable and very passionate about what they do. We would recommend them to any Bride and Groom.
I would HIGHLY recommend Sorellas to anyone looking for a cake for their big day! Monica was so fun to work with in making the perfect cake for our wedding day. We ended up going with 2 different flavors and every single guest raved about the cake. I’ll be going to them for all future desert needs as well because of this!

We were very pleased with the service received from start to finish. We opted for a cake and cupcakes for our wedding and the decor was very nice! We couldn’t choose just one flavor so we selected 5 cupcake flavors , lemon. chocolate, carrot,vanilla and banana! Our wedding cake was lemon as well! The cupcakes were all delicious and our wedding cake was lip smacking fork licking good!
The guest raved about the cupcakes and the cake on how flavorful and moist they both were! I will highly recommend the ladies of Sorrella’s Custom Cakes for any occasion!! If I could give them more starts I would!!

The best cake we have eaten till now in Michigan. Bertha and Monica does wonders with their hands. We ordered a cake for our wedding and it turned out to be magical. By the end of the night not a single piece was left. Everyone had eaten it all. You can imagine how tasty that would have been. Really friendly people they both are and beautifully helped us set up the cake for our big day. Highly highly recommended!! Thank you once again for making our special day more special.

Best Cake Ever!! I had to plan my wedding in the middle of a pandemic. After tasting many cakes, my husband and I finally tried Sorellas and fell in love. Their cakes are delicious! They even boxed each of our cupcakes with ribbons. I can't wait to have them bake many more cakes for us in the future.
Beautiful and Delicious! We needed a cake for our 120-person reception. After trying 5 different cake vendors (all of which were either gross or ridiculously expensive) we were feeling defeated. That’s when we stumbled upon Sorellas and made a tasting appointment. Everything tasted delicious; our absolute favorites were their chocolate cakes- the German chocolate and chocolate raspberry. They were both so good, we decided to use both flavors in our cake. The final price of the cake was by far the most reasonably priced too! Then the day of the wedding came and we were so happy about how beautiful the cake turned out. We would highly recommend Sorellas for your wedding cake!
Sorellas is fantastic! It was hard to nail down certain flavor combos for the wedding cake because everything was delicious. The team there is great to work with.
My husband and I ordered our wedding cake and 2 sheet cakes for our guests as well at our wedding. There cakes are absolutely mouth watering! You have so many options to choose from and the process from beginning to end working with Sorella’s was as easy as a piece of cake! The owner Monica is a sweetheart and she made my Pinterest photo idea of my wedding cake turn into real life! I had zero issues throughout the process with Sorellas and they catered to me with the postponement for my wedding due to Covid. You will not go wrong buying your wedding cake here!

We had our dessert table catered through Sorellas cakes and everything was so amazing! Monica and Bertha were both so wonderful to work with! They were extremely kind and helpful, especially when things changed with my wedding due to Covid. The desserts we had (sinfully chocolate bite, raspberry tart, and tiramisu) were all to die for! Our guest were raving about the desserts all night! Absolutely delicious! I cannot say enough good things about Sorellas Cakes! Highly recommend!
Me and my husband had a wonderful experience at our cake-tasting appointment! The baker did a wonderful job matching the cake to the pinterest picture cake I wanted! Plus it tasted amazing! We got a ton of compliments on the cake at our wedding! I would definitely recommend Sorellas Cakes for any event you put on! Plus they are affordable compared to other bakeries in the area!!

So Monica is one of the most amazing people I have ever met in my entire life. This woman lives and breathes making people happy through her work. She has the kind of spirit, energy, and talent that you want the person making something for an important event or day in your life to have. Her cakes and creations are as legit as her personality. Seriously, if you're thinking twice - don't!
