Sorellas Custom Cakes

We worked with Evan to plan the cake for our wedding from the tasting to the cake design to the "BIG DAY". It's funny, as with all the planning we did for our wedding, I have to say I was most pleased with the cake! First of all, Evan was very organized and created a folder for us the first day we came in, so he could capture our preferences. Then, when we came in the finalize the details, he pulled out our folder, carefully documented everything, and he was very knowledgeable about options and cost. We told him what we wanted, and he created something so beautiful, and I was so happy with how the cake looked AND it tasted WONDERFUL!!!! The professionalism, the organization, the experience, the cake design, and quality taste were all a wonderful experience. I also love how they bake you a special cake for your one-year anniversary so you don't have to worry about saving a freezer burned top layer! Thank you, Evan, and thank you Sorella's! Wish I had a piece of that cake right now!

I absolutely loved the cake. It did well for being outside in the heat in mid-June. They were easy to talk to and get things finalized with. Super helpful, hands down the best customer service and most importantly, the most delicious cake.

The only bakery I'll ever go to for my specialty cakes! Not a crumb was left over and the entire process of ordering and accepting delivery was seamless. Sorella's is hands down the only way to go when you need superb customer service with a delicious and beautiful cake to match!

Working with Sorella's was such a great experience! They were quick to respond to emails, helpful with design consultation and the cakes turned out fantastic. We used them for both our traditional wedding cake as well as our grooms cake. The millennium falcon was the talk of the reception! The cake tasted delicious and looked great - would recommend!

We had a huge Harry Potter Deathly Hallows and book themed wedding cake and Sorellas did an INCREDIBLE job! The entire experience was phenomenal from beginning to end and their attention to detail unmatched! I will forever and always suggest Sorellas. The hardest part of the whole thing was picking flavors because everything was good. Because I'm all about dessert choices I asked if I could have 3 flavors, and there was no issue (hubby said we just needed 1- ha!). The buttercream is literally perfect- not too sweet, not too buttery, and not fake tasting at all. I was kind of dreading picking a bakery because so many bakery's buttercream isn't good, but this was literally love at first bite. I had a bunch of pictures and inspo and they managed to beautifully combine just about all of it into a beautiful 3 tier cake. I wanted bold, possibly matching my bridesmaid dress colors, some sparkle, and flowers... They really delivered!! There were hand piped dahlias that'd gold painted on to really pop, and I just left a ton of extra flowers at my venue, and told them to communicate they could pick whatever they wanted since I didn't know what my cake was going to look like. I ended up emailing like, 2 weeks before, just to confirm and ask if I had enough or if I should add more; decided to add more and they adjusted the flavor ratios throughout my order. I wanted to save the top for myself so I ordered a half sheet just to be safe- the venue staff ended up cutting the pieces smaller than expected- I had almost the entire 3 tier cake left... I wish my guests would've gotten more cake but I was really happy to have so much leftover because it was SO dang good. I think I had enough for like, 190 ppl. The staff was so sweet!! I wasn't there for delivery, but I was told they were wonderful. There were a couple guests picking up orders during my tasting and consult that told me how good it was and not to waste my time with anyone else- I'll now be one of those people! Delicious cake; beautiful and creative!

Sorellas did an amazing job with our wedding cake, they were so easy to work with and understood our vision. It was a a smooth and easy delivery to our venue as well. We received numerous compliments from guest at how much they loved it! The cake was so delicious and it looked absolutely perfect. We would recommend them to anyone and will for sure be a lifelong customer.

I used Sorella's Cakes for my wedding cake and it was great! From the first email encounters, to the first meeting at the bakery - everything was very professional. The staff listened to exactly what I wanted and created the cake off the exact picture I showed them and it tasted delicious! All my wedding guests loved it. We loved working with Sorellas for our June wedding cake! We chose three different flavors - lemon cake with raspberry preserves, german chocolate cake with raspberry preserves, and red velvet with cream cheese filling. All three were so tasty! It was a breeze working with the team on design, and of course, the price was right. We can't wait for our free anniversary cake next year!

We use Sorella’s for ALL of our cake needs. Our wedding cake, in particular was SO beautiful. We received so many comments on the flavors we chose and Sorellas made this part of planning so easy and effortless.

Sorellas was un.real. Monica and Bertha took our vision of an ice cream paradise and turned it into reality with amazing tasting cakes and cupcakes. People are still raving about it. We boxed up our wedding cake and brought it to the after party with plastic spoons and it magically disappeared. Nothing but great things to say about Sorellas, wish we lived closer so we could eat it all the time!

Great flavors, great price, and awesome work! My wedding cake looked identical to the inspiration photo I sent. I’m so impressed! Not to mention, the taste was amazing. Pro tip: go for the bumpy cake cupcakes!

Sorella’s has amazingly delicious cakes! We primarily worked with Monica, one of the owners and we got exactly what we wanted and she did her very best to keep the cost low for the number of guests we had. And you get a free 1st anniversary cake which I am so excited for!

We got married at the Lovett Hall last October, and had Sorella's make our 4 tier cake. I specifically wanted a champagne flavored wedding cake, which was hard to find! Then I came across Sorella's. We went in for a tasting and I discussed my dream of a champagne cake. Monica was able to do a second tasting, customizing a flavor for me and making the cake with real champagne! She also made a delicious champagne mousse to go inside, and we added a raspberry layer as well. On the day of the wedding, Monica expertly placed the flowers from Vivianos between the layers of cake. Both the look and taste of the cake were beyond what I could have imagined. Monica truly made my cake dreams come true! I 100% recommend Sorella's, especially if you are looking for a custom flavor.

The owners and staff at Sorella’s Custom Cakes in Livonia, Mi were professional and friendly. We worked primarily with Monica, one of the owners. She was wonderful to work with. She was very willing to meet our needs and concerns, even being open to baking a few vegan options. The result was a beautiful and delicious product: a vegan cake and an assortment of cupcakes based on our choice of flavors, fillings and icing. They were prompt and talented in the display setup. We were delighted in the results and highly recommend them.

Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. The consultation was quick and easy. They also offered gluten free options that we tried and thought were tasty, even though we ultimately decided not to go with those options. Would buy from again!
