He was communicative, on time, fun to be around, and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to get the most incredible shots of DC, including scaling the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on a crowded April Saturday, knowing how meaningful the monuments are to my now-husband and I! Our wedding party RAVED and continues to rave a week later about how wonderful and stress-free he made our wedding party and family photos on the day of - including expertly managing photos with two toddlers who would have preferred to be napping! :) We could not have asked for a better photographer than Jay and will be recommending him to everyone we know. Jay of Sororal Twin Studios was incredibly accommodating to our unique event. Our wedding was held outside, in unfavorably chilly conditions, but he handled it with grace and tactfully captured our entire prep, ceremony, reception, and exit. ...
He was able to skillfully capture even difficult shots, like the sparkler tornado in the woods, and was kind enough to offer to stay late to ensure we got the final dances and exit covered. We selected the "Combo Package" which included a highlight or sizzle reel, but for us, it seemed like much more than that. For one, it was much longer than anticipated, at around 13 minutes long, and it captured genuine moments, given that no one had any idea when he was actually capturing video versus capturing photos. It was abundantly clear that he spent a great deal of effort editing countless clips together, and was also accommodating to our replacement audio for our vows. Photos of family lineups were top notch, and he managed to get so many people in line with firm but kind mannerisms, as I'd imagine is required when trying to corral so many people together (especially in the cold). Our "first look" photos came out well thanks to his direction, and light capture for sunset pictures was additionally superb. We highly recommend Jay's services to someone not trying to break the bank, but want incredible photos (and a video component!) to endure the test of time.

O important to have a photographer with energy and an eye for detail. Jay was EVERYWHERE on our wedding day. The photos of our ceremony were from every angle, and he did it all inconspicuously. He even popped up all over the dance floor to take pictures without disturbing the dancing. Jay made us feel SO comfortable in front of the camera. Before the wedding, my husband and I expressed concerns about our families not being very photogenic and most likely needing A LOT of direction. The day of, he arrived early...even before I got to the venue! He was prepared and very flexible. He did a fantastic job of giving everyone the necessary amount of direction, capturing truly gorgeous shots of everyone. He went above and beyond to get the [Pinterest] shots my husband and I had on our wishlist, while still injecting his own creativity.
After the wedding, the turn-around for getting to preview our pictures was exceptionally fast. My husband's hair was a little messed up in some of the formal shots, the perfectionist in me couldn't ignore it. Jay was so very generous, taking the time to Photoshop those issues. The final product was a beautiful mix of journalistic and formal photography that everyone just can not stop raving about!
Many of our other vendors were less than stellar. Jay was the one that my husband, our families, and I have zero complaints about. Thank you, Jay, for exceeding our expectations and making sure that our wedding memories are preserved in the most beautiful way!

It would have been nice to have album options bundled within the overall base price versus a la cart pricing for albums but this wouldn't deter us from hiring Jay again in the slightest. We couldn't be any happier with our pictures and having three sets of them is perfect! He was quick and efficient in getting us access to our photo gallery in addition to receiving our copies in the mail... seeing sneak peeks on his website were of great fun as well.
