. She somehow managed to do this on short notice for wedding standards (5 months) while communicating with us from a world away. My husband and I live in Europe and are 8 hours ahead of MT. We had a very small window to communicate with vendors, because of the condensed timeline and the time difference, so Alex did all of the legwork for us. We spoke almost weekly and at times she would video chat with us from venues to help us make decisions. When Alex would utter the words "my gut says" we went with it, because she knows what she’s talking about. On top of our magical ceremony and reception in the mountains; Alex also organized group excursions for our guests, she found decor that fit our travel theme, she coordinated a complicated shuttle situation, worked with my mother-in-law to put together the rehearsal dinner, found most of our vendors, helped us host a brunch in our room and personally dropped off all of the food, I could go on and on. The whole weekend was us, it was personal, it was perfect, and it’s all because we hired Alex. Several of our wedding guests work in the industry and couldn't stop gushing about Alex and her professionalism. Aside from this raving review, Alex is just a wonderful person. She welcomed us to Steamboat Springs with a goodie bag that included homemade granola, and a hand-knitted hat. Yes, she found the time to make us these things! I didn't have gloves for the wedding, she had already made me some of those too. There truly is nothing Alex can't do. Thank you Alex we just love you! In the words of my husband who included Alex in our welcome speech at the reception “I know a lot of you have had wedding planners, I’m sorry but ours is better.”

Being from Denver and far from where our wedding was going to take place, it was incredibly helpful having Alex and all of her expertise. Alex's professionalism struck when my fiance and I made the decision to postpone our wedding due to Covid. Alex was supportive, understanding, and overly accommodating. She was right there to help me move all of our vendors to our new date. Because our wedding planning was now spread out over the course of nearly 2 years, Alex checked in much more than the package I had selected outlined. Alex helped me remain cool, calm, and collected while going through all of the emotions of having to postpone. On the days leading up to the wedding, Alex blew me away. As I watched my dream day come to life it was evident that Alex had listened to exactly what I had envisioned. I'm so happy and lucky to have had Alex and her team for our wedding and highly recommend her to any future bride in Steamboat!

Alex was a planner/therapist during this change, and was incredibly understanding of my stress and indecisiveness. She also read through our communications with guests and talked us through the details of making the wedding COVID-safe. Day-of, she was truly on top of it--everything ran smoothly (or if it didn't, I never knew) and she even made sure I had a plate of apps set aside and cake to go at the end of the night. Cannot say enough good things about Alex--I highly recommend her!

live >1000 miles from CO. This was a destination wedding for nearly 200 guests and Alex had every detail under control. She is an invaluable resource for vendors and services in Steamboat and, as others have mentioned, is unflappable in the face of Steamboat's unpredictable weather. There were a few hiccups in the lead up to the wedding: unexpected and unavoidable late catering change, difficulty coordinating with the Denver band after booking. Alex just stepped in to support and represent us. Every detail of the wedding day was flawless and stress free. As the long distance mother of the bride, I urge other MOBs and brides to hire a wedding coordinator - and hire Alex if she's available! Soul Spark Events has all the resources and the relaxed and confident attitude to make your day(s) perfect.

She made sure all the vendors were tracking so that the entire day ran smoothly...even when the wind prevented us from utilizing the gondola to get up the mountain early. Within minutes we were loading into a shuttle to head up the mountain. Alex’s attention to detail is tremendous — she didn’t miss any detail regardless of how big or small. She even provided excellent advice and weighed in with vendors to make sure we got the most out of our money!

From initial planning and kickoff meetings, to the days before our wedding, to execution of the actual wedding day, we absolutely could not have done it without her. Alex and Leigh made the wedding day effortless for my husband and I. We were able to truly sit back and enjoy the day's events and the company of our friends and family. In particular, the weather during the weekend of our wedding was looking like it could take a turn for the worse. Unfortunately, we had planned all of our events, short of dinner service, in Steamboat to be held outdoors. Fortunately for us, we had Alex on our side! She began working with our vendors during the week up to the wedding to implement backup plans in the instance the weather did turn on us. Her local connections and overall familiarity with Steamboat (and it's sometimes crazy weather!) allowed her to implement some truly unique and effective backup options. As it turned out, the rain did come (on and off), but Alex's backup plans worked out great in ensuring our ceremony and reception did not suffer. Choosing to make Alex and her team a part of our special day was definitely one of the best decisions we ever made.

When we had a snafu with our florist she had another one lined up by the end of the day. On the day of our wedding she was wonderful and kind. She was on top of everything. We were skeptical at first when our venue required us to have a coordinator, but in hindsight we would have been lost without Soul Spark Events. We cannot recommend Alex and her team highly enough.

She sent her assistant, Sal, to help with my wedding ceremony and rehearsal and it went off perfectly. Sal is sweet and easy going with a desire to make our wedding perfect! Alex sent assistants to help with set up of the wedding early to make things work for her schedule and ours. All in all, she didn't have to help me and she did anyway, and she made it easy, fun and enjoyable in a time that can be very stressful for any bride and mother of the bride. Alex and her staff are excellent planners and execute those plans wonderfully, as well as being great to work with. (And easy to communicate with even if you're far away!).
