Soulsystem was absolutely incredible for our wedding! Rob was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout the entire planning process, and was able to provide all the entertainment we needed from ceremony music, to cocktail hour piano, and finally an unbelievably fun reception. I had a lot of special requests that were taken care of no problem. The band was absolutely amazing. If you weren't looking at them playing, you could've been fooled into thinking it was the recorded versions of all the songs. The talent is unmatched. I definitely recommend Soulsystem to anyone who wants to have the best wedding ever (as all our guests said to us throughout our day).

As my husband says, "Soulsystem was electric." Indeed, this band rocked the house. I'd say the band was our MOST important investment for the wedding- all that really mattered to us was that we had a kick-ass band. Soulsystem delivered. Throughout the process leading up to the wedding and on day-of, Rob and his team were professional, kind, thoughtful, fun, and creative. They tailored the set list to match what we envisioned for music (as we're both from Jersey, they ended the night with a few Bruce songs, which just sent everyone into a frenzy) while also bringing their own guidance, flare and intuition to the design of the night. We had our dinner and dancing in separate rooms, and I was concerned about the smoothness of the transition from one space to the next. Two members of the band preformed a brass second-line to lead all guests into the dancing space. It was epic. We've had many guests reach out to us since the wedding, and every reflection from the wedding includes, "and that BAND. Oh my god. How/when can we see them preform again." The night would not have been everything that it was to us without this band. We are so grateful, and we cannot recommend them enough!!!!!

Soulsystem Orchestra was absolutely amazing and truly made our wedding night a huge success. All of our guests have not stopped gushing about the talented musicians on stage. From start to finish they listened to our vision and fully delivered. We had them play instrumentals at our ceremony, cocktail hour, and shortly after the full band went on stage for the reception and immediately had our guests dancing. This is truly such a talented band, and we heard from many that they felt like they were witnessing a live concert. Soul System was spectacular to work with from start to finish! So responsive and accommodating! But best of all, they were on fire on Saturday night! Our guests were blow away and no one stopped dancing for two straight hours! Incredible, just incredible!

When deciding on music for your wedding, there is no reason to hire anyone but Rob Affuso and SoulSystem Orchestra. They are by far THE BEST band out there. They played at our daughter's wedding in NJ in 2018 and they killed it! Everyone who attended were still talking about them... until our son was married this past March in Miami. Not sure how it's possible, but besides traveling 1500 miles to be with us, they were even better than everyone remembered and helped make a party that will never be forgotten. It was simply magical!

Soulsystem truly knocked it out of the park! Everyone was up on their feet and dancing the entire night, it felt like a concert! To this day, everyone raves about how incredible our entertainment was, we were so lucky to have them be a part of our special day. If you choose Soulsystem, you will not be disappointed! We booked Soul Systems having only heard glowing reviews and seeing videos online, so we didn't quite know what to expect at our wedding. As soon as they started playing, we were blown away. Rob and the Soulsystem Teams performance at our wedding was up there with the best concerts/shows we have been to in our lives. These guys are INCREDIBLE. We are recommending them to all our friends in hopes we can see them perform again! They nailed every song, no one was in their seats during their performance and the energy never left the tent. We had a destination wedding in Downeast Maine and they were extremely easy to work with and had no issues regarding logistics. SPECTACULAR in the truest sense of the word! The spectacle Soulsystem Orchestras created was to see all of our guests out on our dance floor hour after hour. No one wanted to sit down because every song the band played sounded so awesome and was so engaging, you just had to dance. We had a destination wedding in a remote town in the mountains of North Carolina. The band arrived prepared, with smiles on their faces, ready to rock out. It was a Herculean feat... Rob was able to get all of the equipment and 11 band members (plus crew) there on time. No logistical issues that we had to worry about (though, we did find them local lodging). Let's face it, the band makes the reception either "fine" or "great." As I mentioned earlier, from what we experienced and what our guests told us during and after our wedding, Soulsystem Orchestras was so much more than great.,. they were SPECTACULAR! People can't stop talking about them. Their talent exceeded any wedding band we, or anyone there, had ever heard --and we have professional performers (friends and family) who were in attendance. We all marveled at how the band seamlessly transitioned from song to song without stopping. How the vocals sent chills down our spines because they were so jaw-droppingly good. How they delivered flawless musicianship for hours on end. And, for us, how the positive energy they shared was palpable throughout the room. STOP LOOKING. THEY ARE YOUR BAND! Our expectations were high after watching videos and hearing from people who had heard them play live. They exceeded these expectations and were the reason our wedding was the best night ever. So many guests who have heard great bands told us this was the best they’d heard and people are still talking about it. They are also so kind and a pleasure to work with leading up to the wedding. Each band member is wildly talented. We feel so lucky to have had them at our wedding!!!

I wish I could give them 100 stars! Soul System Orchestras is phenomenal! Everyone at my daughter's wedding said they were the best band they had ever heard. Many wanted to get there name and contact information. Soul System rocked the wedding all night long. Great musicians and singers. So much fun! The guests were having so much fun they pleaded for an encore! And guess what - they played another song! Rob Affuso was wonderful to work with. He was super responsive and wanted our input on everything. Their portfolio is so extensive it was hard to choose which songs we wanted them to perform. There are 3 ingredients to a great wedding or event: Good Food; Plenty of libations, and GREAT MUSIC. Anyone who has the opportunity to hire this band is very lucky. You will not be disappointed.

He came up with the perfect playlist based on our input. He customized the band pieces to make sure they had the right sound and right voices for the whole day. Rob can and will put together the perfect playlist for your wedding based on your taste. Soulsystem killed it, plain and simple! We are still getting comments from our guest about how amazing the band was. Soulsystem will make your wedding better. It doesn't matter what food you have, the venue you booked, the flowers, or whatever else. If you book Soulsystem you will have the best wedding possible. Your guests will be non-stop dancing and you will make all of your friends jealous they didn't have Soul System for their wedding.

Rob was the absolute BEST to work with! My husband and I wanted a combo of live music and DJ, and Rob knew exactly the vibe we were going for. He recommended DJ Shiran (who was amazing to work with and such an incredible emcee) and a combo of sax, violin and percussion. It was AWESOME. We got so many compliments from guests on the music, from both our friends and our parents' friends. We had to reschedule due to COVID and Rob made it the easiest (some of my friends had horror stories about extra charges, losing deposits, etc. - none of that with Rob). His pricing is more than fair—in fact he dissuaded us from having a sax at cocktail hour because he didn't think it would be worth the cost for us based on our discussions. That honesty is rare in the wedding industry! As for DJ Shiran, he was incredible. It was important to us to have a DJ and MC who wouldn't keep talking over the music, but knew how to get people dancing and keep energy high. We also had a last minute entrance song change (morning of) and he made the perfect suggestion. 100% recommend working with Rob and Shiran if you want to have a fun wedding with amazing music!

Rob of Soulsystem Orchestras was one of the first people we connected with shortly after getting engaged and confirming our wedding date. He is lighthearted, enthusiastic, quick to reply, and incredibly helpful in selecting the perfect band for our wedding. Cause and the Effects was nothing short of outstanding. the band was PHENOMENAL!!! the dance floor was full the entire night, and several guests have since asked for their contact info. right from the time i booked them for my daughter’s wedding i felt confident with my choice. everyone was completely professional, uber talented, pleasant and energetic. i highly recommend soulsystem orchestras!

No exaggeration, we had 200 people attend my daughter's wedding and at least 25 people I invited told me it was the best band at any event, they have ever heard. Soulsystem Orchestra played Talking Heads, Tears for Fears, Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Louie Armstrong.... I could go on and you would think the actual artist was on stage. I am still flying high, best band ever!!! I wish I had more kids to marry off, I would hire them in an instant!

SSO energized the reception and made the evening! No guest walked while under our party tent; they either danced or sashayed. Drinking was minimized as the guests spent all evening dancing, I am certain we saved money on the bar bill. If you have a limited budget, hire this band and have your reception in a parking lot..... It will be worth it.

We would give SoulSystem Orchestras an eleven star review. One for each member of the band we hired. We've been to at least 20 weddings and heard every kind of band and SSO blew them all away. We had non stop dancing from the first note and we could not have asked for a more pleasant and accommodating Manager and drummer than Rob. They come full service, we did not need to hire an additional sound and staging company, they will do it all. The trio who played during the cocktail reception was pitch perfect. We would hire them again in a heartbeat!

They helped set the most amazing celebratory/party vibe for the evening so much so that the venue had to ask them to stop playing so they could serve the food/people would eat - no one wanted to get off the dance floor. Words escape me to describe the incredible experience that Soulsystem Orchestras provided for everyone at our daughter's wedding. Soulsystem is an amazing band for a wedding. We had them play for our oldest daughter 3 years ago, and for our youngest a week ago. Our guests did not want to leave the dance floor!! The more Soulsystem played, the more energy on the dance floor. They added another dimension to a magical event!! I highly recommend them.

We could not have been happier with SOULSYSTEM. My husband and I (parents of the groom) have family in the music business and frequently hire bands for various functions. SOULSYSTEM blows away every other band -- both in how they sound (unbelievable talent) and in the professionalism they demonstrate. They spent time prior to the wedding talking to the bride and groom (and parents) to assure that the party had the music and vibe they wanted; they were at the venue with plenty of time to set up; they ran the reception beautifully; and the night was a huge success -- in large part because we had Rob and SOULSYSTEM.

You will not find a better band. Soul System played at our daughters wedding and blew us away. The dance floor was full and rockin all night. Guitarist learned a special song for my father/daughter dance and nailed it. We had guitarist for ceremony, pianist for cocktail hour and 8 piece band for reception. All musicians were fantastic. These guys are professionals. All of our guest raved about the band. Truly phenomenal. I highly recommend this band. You will be amazed!

BEST. BAND. EVER!! Fact: Soulsystem was the greatest decision we made for our wedding day. I know, I know, I just got married, I'm on cloud nine and think everything is amazing, why believe me? Well, you don't have to; just take it from my guests: "I've been to dozens - no, hundreds - of weddings over the past 40 years, and not a single one has come close to how rockin' this is! This band is fantastic!" "Uh, what?! How did she just hit that note?? She's insane, oh my God she's amazing, what a voice!" "The band is killing it, man. How the hell did you find them?" "Is that drummer famous? He seems like he's famous. He's famous, isn't he? He's unbelievable. He's gotta be a rockstar." And I could go on and on. It's been over a month since the big day and my guests are STILL raving about Soulsystem. But, more importantly, WE'RE still raving about them because not only did they make our special day even more special, but they also made the process leading up so easy. Rob was friendly and eager to customize the set list to whatever we wanted, but wasn't overwhelming. We ended up giving them free rein, and we're so glad we did because they put together a seamless set from start to finish. They masterfully chose music to rock when they needed to rock and cool things off when things were getting too hot. The dance floor was the place to be that night, and my guests were dancing their hearts out; at the same time Soulsystem didn't make it all about them, they made sure the night was all about what really mattered: my wife! In case you couldn't tell, I loved this band. And I'm picky (or as my wife says, "snobby") about live music. My expectations were enormously high, and they far exceeded them. I'm so happy we went with Soulsystem Orchestras!

SoulSystem Orchestra was truly unbelievable! We had an 8 piece band and they engaged the crowd for the entire party! My husband and I couldn’t be happier to have worked with them, plus MANY of guests approached us and told us they were the best band they had ever seen at a wedding. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was choosing Soulsystem Orchestras as our band. Rob is incredible to work with and totally understood the vibe that my husband and I wanted, from Frank Sinatra for our first dance, to my request to hear newer song renditions like Higher Love! From the communication leading up to the wedding, to the execution day of, our friends and family could not stop raving about the experience (and it took a while to get everyone to leave including a "one more song" chant, multiple times!) Soulsystem is professional, thoughtful and truly brought the WOW factor to our wedding. My only regret is that we didn't have a longer reception! Throughout the wedding experience, I truly enjoyed working with Rob and felt like a "person" whereas other larger companies/vendors I hired made me feel like a number and straight up "client". We loved them so much, we are going to one of their public performances for a non-profit next week just so we can see them again! My oh my. How can I put this into words people will understand. My wife and I just got married last Saturday and Soul system Orchestra was our wedding band. I was referred to them from an old colleague of mine who had them for his wedding and we went to go see them at a showcase in the city before booking them. Although the showcase is a short set and we only saw them once, we felt comfortable enough to move forward. AND HOLY SMOKES am I glad we did! We had extremely high expectations for the band and to say they met those expectations is an absurd understatement. The amount of compliments during and after the wedding about the band made me feel amazing and they just tied the whole evening together perfectly. I had 2 people immediately reach out to me the day after requesting the name of the band! They had costume changes, came out on the dance floor to sing with the guests and played songs based on the mood in the room. The energy in the room was just electric from beginning to end! For any of my friends who will be tying the knot, if they are looking for a wedding band, I’ll be pushing SSO so hard just so I can see them again. Rob was super professional the whole time leading up to our wedding day and so easy to work with. Please do yourself a favor, if you’re looking for a band and you’re reading this review, STOP. You found the band you’re looking for, trust me!

Soulsystems Orchestras ROCKS. Our wedding would not have been the same without them! Guests are still asking me for the name of this band and I can't wait for our 25th wedding anniversary or sooner so we have an excuse to have them play again. We had a few special requests and they nailed each of them, they even sounded better than the original artists! Rob was amazing to work with and I will always consider him a friend!!

There are not adequate words describe how SoulSystem Orchestras rocked our wedding!! Rob is very pleasant, professional, organized and squares away details well in advance of the wedding. In dealing with him, it was clear that this band/band leader are experts as to all things wedding related and bring immense value with their knowledge of how to structure the ceremony and reception so that the day moves along smoothly/so that the fun and dancing is maximized. SoulSystem played at our ceremony (string quartet), cocktail hour, and reception. Our ceremony music was breathtakingly beautiful and the quartet even learned a more obscure song for me so that I could walk down the isle to my song of choice. As for the reception, we requested that it be a fun dance party, and SoulSystem delivered!!! The very large dance floor was crammed with our 250+ guests (of all ages) dancing, jumping and signing along to SoulSystem's mind-blowing tunes. This band knows how to hype up a crowd and keep them engaged!! The first thing that every attendee said to us throughout the night and after was that they couldn't believe how incredible the band was and that SoulSystem was the best live band they had ever seen. Our only regret is that we cannot relive the night of fun and dancing over and over again. Massive thank you to SoulSystem Orchestras - true rock stars. You made our day so special.

Soulsystem Orchestras is hands down the best wedding band out there!! We heard from multiple people at our event that they are hands down the best band anyone has ever heard. They kept everyone from grandmothers to teenagers out on the dancefloor for the entire night once they started. They were also an absolute joy to work with; Rob was professional, communicative, and accommodating. We couldn't speak more highly of Soulsystem Orchestras!

I can't even describe how AWESOME this band was. They are unbelievably talented musicians and singers and they got in with the crowd and engaged them. They had everyone dancing and having fun. Many of my wedding guests said they're the best wedding band they've ever heard--and a few of my friends asked for their number to hire them for their own weddings! They made the party and we couldn't be happier. PS they do an incredible raucous hora!

SoulSystem Orchestras exceeded our expectations! The band offers a diverse playlist and works with you throughout the process to ensure the genre of music played at your wedding reception fits you and the audience. They even learned a couple new songs for our first dance and mother/son dance, which was unique. They are extremely talented and inspired guests of all ages to join the dance floor (even those who are not dancers!). We cannot thank them enough for being a part of our special day. Soulsystem was incredible! They brought so much energy and joy to the reception. All of our guests were raving about how great the band was—in fact, so many people told us that the band was the best band they ever heard at a wedding. We agree! The dance floor was full the entire night and the music choices were just perfect. Rob and Soulsystem also put together the music for our ceremony and cocktail hour and both were just as spectacular as the reception. Rob was so great to work with and joyfully accommodated all of our special requests. It was a great experience working with him at every stage. We recommend soulsystem enthusiastically and unconditionally!

Our biggest priority for our wedding was getting the best band we possibly could. We are both huge music fanatics and see over 30 concerts every year. We did a ton of homework and scoured all possible leads, and we came back time and again to Soul System. The reality is this- if you want the funkiest, most fun, most professional, most versatile band you can find for your wedding, Soul System is the right choice. From musicianship, to experience, optionality, charisma, thoughtfulness of execution, and professional conduct, there is nothing more you can ask for. Soul System played the perfect set list for us and we had 200 people dancing for hours and hours. I wanted to serenade my wife with a special song, and they enthusiastically backed and supported me for my idea. Really cannot speak highly enough of this band. Hire them for the night of your life.

7 years ago Soulsystem performed at our son's wedding and was phenomenal, two weeks ago the band performed again at our daughter's wedding and was even better. Our daughter and son-in-law selected Soulsystem - we had minimal input - after going to a number of band showcases and watching many videos. We were all incredibly pleased with the choice. The energy and enthusiasm of the band is infectious. If we had not had wedding type things to do, speeches, etc., no one would have ever left the dance floor. We have known Rob and the band for years and have been to their showcases even when we didn't have a wedding coming up. This is a truly professional and dynamic band that understands that the music makes the wedding and worked with our children and us - to the extent our kids were willing to allow our input - on selecting the music. Everyone no matter what their age was extremely happy with the music. The band has a big and enveloping sound but played at volume that still allowed guests to have a conversation - not always the case at weddings, and the singers' choreography was terrific. Everyone commented on just how great the band was throughout the night. We couldn't agree more.

AMAZING! To me there were 3 must haves for my wedding reception; good food, good drinks, and good music. Everyone at our wedding said it was the best band that they have ever heard at a wedding. People who said that they never dance were in shock that they were dancing the whole night. Rob was an amazing drummer and the female vocalists are beyond great, not to mention the rest of the band are excellent musicians. They performed our first dance song perfectly. The whole process from signing the contract to the day of the wedding was very easy. If you have the chance to see them before booking you would not even think of selecting another band.

Best wedding band ever! From the moment we were engaged, I started looking for the best band we could find. Since starting the conversation with Soul System, Rob was extremely professional, friendly and made the process seamless. Rob listened as we explained the vibe and night we wanted - where everyone was dancing because the music was so good, the band focused on playing vs. MC-ing (one of our preferences) and someone who could read the audience. After giving Rob all the details, the night went off without a hitch and was perfect. Everyone danced so much, our photo booth was barely used and all our guests can't stop raving about how amazing Soul System was (even one month out!) and we feel the same! One of the very unique things about Soul System is that the band plays continuously so there's no awkward "break" where people lose interest and leave the dance floor. My only regret is not booking them for another hour, we could have kept dancing forever! I HIGHLY recommend Rob and Soul System Orchestra and wish we could do it all again.

My husband and I could not have loved Soul System Orchestra more! They were absolutely amazing and had everyone on the dance floor- including my 90 year old grandpa! Countless guests came up to us both during and after the wedding saying this was the best band they ever heard, and people are still calling us about them! They made the night spectacular. Rob was amazing as well and worked closely with us on our vision and answered all questions quickly! I could not recommend them more!

Rob and his team did an amazing job from start to finish. The music was amazing and not detail was left out. I would recommend Soul System for everyone and anyone who asked. From 8 year old to 70 year old our wedding was rocking. Thank you Rob!!!

Best band I ever heard at a party! They were great singers and dancers, had enormous energy and played nonstop through the affair. Many guests at the party asked their name so they could contact them to play at their next occasion.

Soulsystem had everyone up and dancing for the whole wedding. Rob (the bandleader) is easy to work with, and aims to please (and succeeds!).
