with us multiple times to get all the details down which really showed the day of the wedding. I don't think there was one song played the the entire wedding didn't want to dance to. We even had couples come up to us after our wedding saying they wished they would have known about Sound Active before so they could have booked them. We also hired a saxophone player to our DJ which really amped up all the guests and added an extra something to the day! We cannot thank Anthony and his team enough for making our event so much fun!

You can fill in bridal party info, choose what songs you do/don't to hear and even get suggestions for songs for different events throughout the night (such as suggestions for the cake cutting, etc.). What's even better is that you can listen to snippets of the songs right from the client. The day of, Anthony and his team did a great job. We only gave a few suggestions as to what songs we wanted to hear and what kind of music we liked and Anthony did a masterful job of keeping the party going. We have been to weddings where no one was on the dance floor, but our wedding was certainly not one of them. Other than breaks for dinner and speeches, there was always a packed dance floor with people having a great time. We would recommend including the TVs in your package and providing a photo montage because our guests had a great time reminiscing throughout the night whenever a picture of them would come up. The GOBO was also a nice touch. Do yourself a favor and book Sound Active Events for your wedding. You won't regret it.

r new wedding date. We got married this past weekend (8-7-21) and people are still telling us how great the DJ was -- many saying that it's the best DJ and MC they've ever had at a wedding. Anthony was our MC and checked in on my husband and I throughout the night in addition to keeping our guests entertained. We needed a DJ who would be able to read the crowd and keep them dancing -- our family and friends are always on the dance floor -- and Eric hit it out of the park. My husband's family is from Ghana and we wanted Afrobeats as well as a mix of other music. With a suggestion of one song, Eric understood the whole vibe we were going for and delivered with an amazing set for the whole night. I do not say this lightly that you cannot go wrong with Anthony and his crew for your wedding! (If you're searching for a boring time -- you definitely should look elsewhere.)

Our dance floor was bumping all night - up until the very last song. Definitely keeps you on top of things and allowed us to listen to some songs before choosing the ones he did! We chose his photobooth and people absolutely loved it and the props were amazing! I am so happy that I chose Sound Active Events. Anthony, the owner, is very organized and uses an online portal to keep track of all your music, names, wedding flow and special requests. He was our MC, and did every single thing I asked! Our live sax player Kevin was a huge hit. He played along with EVERYTHING and our guests raved about him. Teddy was an awesome DJ, he kept the guest hyped up and dancing all night long! We are huge 90s music fans and Teddy and Anthony made sure to play all the throwbacks, and mashed them up. SO MUCH FUN! The photo booth, run by Cassandra, was also a huge hit with our guests. There were people in there all night long. Ps- the “dancing on a cloud” was totally worth a few extra bucks to WOW our guests during our first dance. Thank you Sound Active Events for making our wedding so memorable to us and all our guests. 2 Months later we are still hearing about how fun our wedding was. :)

Speaking of guidelines, Anthony has a client portal he walks each of his clients through to create a totally customizable script so everyone is on the same page the night of their wedding. Songs (eras & genres), speeches, first dance, and how to handle guest requests are all planned out exactly how you want it. From our initial meeting until the end of the party, Anthony couldn't have been better to work with. I highly recommend him to DJ your wedding. You definitely will not regret it!

He took notes on everything we talked about at our initial meeting. His formatting and online system is very easy to use when choosing music and explaining the days timeline . Most importantly, everyone was on the dance floor the entire evening!Teddy who was my MC is the reason all of our friends and family are still saying it was the most fun wedding they’ve been to. I also added on the drums(Christian) and the sax(Alison) who made the wedding complete. There was a point during the wedding I was looking around and I was worried there wasn't enough dance floor because so many people were dancing. We are so grateful for making our day classy and fun!

He was easy to trust and dedicated to making us feel relaxed and ready for the big day. Our wedding was exceptional. People were on the dance floor ALL night. I’m pretty sure there’s photographic/video proof of me dancing while eating my cake. He played such a great variety of music that everyone at our wedding felt included. The best advice Anthony gave us was to include as many genres as possible so he could really play the crowd; he went above and beyond to assure that all of our guests were up and dancing. SAE’s candid photographer allowed us to walk away from the night with a memory card of photos (awesome to look at the next day!). Anthony’s energy, ability to play the crowd, and his smoothness as an MC made our wedding flawless. Thank you SAE for creating incredible memories!

He and our DJ, Michael, got all of our guests out of their seat and onto the dance floor all night long. The coolest part about Anthony’s services is the portal he provides to help us plan our big day. It outlines everything he needs to know and allows us to enter all the information we want him to know. It’s the official guideline to make sure everyone is on the same page. Another thing we loved about his services was the ability to customize our package. We added a saxophone player named Kevin and and a vocalist named Lauren who were both phenomenal. Our guests were raving about their performances! My new husband was a sound engineer for a number of years and he was really picky about the sound quality. Anthony was happy to show us all of the equipment he uses and reassure him he won’t be disappointed. The vibe of the music was perfect all night long. Anthony made sure to check in with me throughout the night on whether or not he should continue certain type of music or change it up. Best service ever! The whole experience with the team at Sound Active Events was worth every penny and were actually well within our budget unlike a lot of other DJs we had met with. Thank you so much Anthony and your whole team!! Book them asap you won’t regret it!

Anthony also used a website to track EVERYTHING, so planning is super easy ( order of ceremony/reception intros, song requests, keeping track of payments, genre preferences, special instructions, etc...). On the day of the wedding, everything went perfectly. We had a harpist at our ceremony who played gorgeous music as people arrived, a little during the ceremony, and as our guests departed. During our reception, Anthony and his crew really knew how to read the room and play the music that will keep the crowd entertained and on the dance floor all night, even eliminating certain elements of the timeline to make more time for dancing ( with our permission, of course). We had a mixed race/ethnicity wedding (Latino, Afro-Caribbean, Italian) and the DJ [Shortkut (sp?)] played a variety of music that spoke to everyone and it was amazing. We also had a live percussionist play along with the DJ, and towards the end of the night he came out on the dance floor and let some guest play his drums. We had a phenomenal time, and our guest gave us so many compliments to us about the music. I recommend Sound Active Events to everyone I talk to that are in the wedding planning process because we were so happy with how everything turned out. :)

MC Nyche was beyond a perfect fit for our guests.. It was very important to us we had a bilingual MC and he delivered! His vibe and energy was effortless and had everyone one their feet! People didn’t want to leave.. They wanted to keep the party going! Dj Shortkutz is pure talent! I’m so happy with the decision I made to have them at my wedding!

s apart. We were able to add a photo booth (worth it), the fog machine for the first dance, custom lighting and visual effects... but what really stole the show was the live performers. We had a percussionist and a saxophonist accompany the DJ and they made the wedding. The energy and excitement the drummer brought to the dance floor was incredible. The sax man added elegance to the dining time and really punctuated the music in a way we had never experienced. Everything is important when planning a wedding but if you really want it to be great, you're gonna need great entertainment and these guys deliver. We cannot recommend them and the multitude of services and options they provide enough. If we have another event where music is involved, its Sound Active Events all the way

And, let me tell you that my wedding, the music and everything Sound Active did was beyond perfect. ny was the nicest person from the start. he met us after hours and really did a great job showing us what they do, between pictures and videos from different weddings it made it really easy to make the decision. he worked with our budget and created a custom package that would suit is best. well since I made that decision of course I was a little nervous how they would do on our big day. i had nothing to worry about cause Anthony and his crew did an awesome job begging to the end. Anthony had everyone on the dance floor the whole time. the DJ and the percussionist were amazing, everyone still talks about how awesome the party was and that they've never been to a wedding like this, all thanks to sound active. My wife wanted a winter wedding. well that day was pretty warm, but Anthony made it snow for her on the dance floor. three was a little hiccup with that since it was supposed to be during our first dance, but Anthony assured me he would make it up to me. It actually worked out a lot better when he did another break for a brother sister dance and right after since everyone was already there looking he played the perfect song and got us on the floor and just as we were dancing a lot more relaxed this time he made it snow at the perfect moment and I watched my wife light up. after that she loved her wedding. His form that you fill out for the wedding makes everything crystal clear so that the day goes without a hitch.
