Sound By Design was instrumental in making our wedding dance floor dreams come to life! They were very attentive throughout the entire process. We were assigned Ryan as our DJ and he did an AMAZING job mixing some of our first dance songs to fit the timeline we were hoping for. He timed all of our ceremony music perfectly and was so helpful with any minor things we needed throughout the night. We loved the music portal and how specific we were able to be with our music selection. We truly could not leave the dance floor all night - would highly recommend SBD and Ryan specifically!

I worked with Conner as my DJ and Sound By Design point person. His insight and expertise truly helped make my wedding day perfection! As someone who had fairly strict wedding playlist rules, Conner far exceeded my expectations and listened to my wants/needs. Our dance floor was packed the entire night! Conner was easy to work with, very attentive and insightful and made me feel so relaxed throughout the entire processing, taking a huge burden and stress off my shoulders. Sound By Design was a joy to work with for our wedding. We were assigned Trent as our lead DJ, who absolutely went above and beyond for us. He was professional and made sure everything went smoothly, and kept the dance floor packed the entire night. He checked in with us multiple times throughout the night to make sure everything was good, and quickly pivoted and allowed us to make last minute decisions like a bouquet toss that wasn’t planned originally. We could not have asked for a better DJ and will be recommending Sound by Design, specifically Trent to all of our friends and family!

We worked with Max for our wedding of 90 guests. He was a fantastic DJ! He was very open to meeting our requests for dancing and accommodating last minute changes as they came throughout the night. Max was personable and kept up the energy our guests while still maintaining professionalism. The planning process was straight-forward and he helped guide us whenever necessary. He helped us through selecting our photo booth options as well. We highly recommend!

SBD was fantastic to work with for our wedding! Conner made planning very smooth and communicated with us every step of the way. My husband and I got married two weeks ago and hired Sound By Design for our DJ. We really enjoyed being able to make our own playlist through their online portal and also that we were able to meet with them in person several times to go over details. They were professional and customized everything to be exactly what we wanted. We had a high energy crowd at our wedding and our DJ, Trent, did a great job matching that. All of our guests had a blast dancing!

We can’t say enough about Sound By Design, and how much they made our day special. From the beginning, Mateo was super professional and helped us organize our schedule and choose our package. We ended up renting a stage, lights, and speakers that we could also use for our band - they truly had anything we needed. Max, our DJ, made our day incredible. He organized a wedding party of 24 people, got guests to move room to room, and kept the night on schedule. It’s clear that Max is knowledgeable, and he gave us some great advice as we got closer to the date. We felt like he had it covered the whole time with minimal effort from us. The entire crew was flexible, accommodating, FUN, and we felt so confident having such a talented DJ team. A DJ service that you like is so important for a wedding, and I can’t recommend Sound By Design enough!

Conner did such a fantastic job at DJing our wedding. Everyone LOVED the music selection and he played music that everyone could enjoy. He also did cater to any requests that we had. We had a great experiencing working with Sound By Design for our June 8, 2024 wedding at Jan Serr Studio. We worked with Conner for the up front planning, and we were lucky to have him also assigned as our DJ! Conner was very responsive and easy to work with. We gave him very minimal direction (as I didn't stress about music and wanted to try the professionals here), and he knocked it out of the park. Everything went extremely smooth from the ceremony to the speeches, and the dance floor was packed all night - we could've danced longer! They are pros at Sound By Design!

My husband and I hired Sound By Design for our wedding and they were great! We initially worked with Connor to talk through the contract and get everything locked in. I was very impressed with the communication and organization throughout the entire process, from signing the contract to our wedding day. We were given updates throughout the planning process, reminders for our scheduled payments, and they checked in with us a few times leading up to the wedding in case we had any questions. They use an app that you can upload all of the music that you want to play at your wedding including pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, spotlight dances, etc. We were also able to also put music in a "do not play" playlist. Having everything in the app was super convenient and helpful when mapping out our music for our day. Our DJ also helped provide playlist suggestions on Spotify for us to reference, which was great. We had a final meeting with our lead DJ, Ryan, who was awesome. We came away from our final meeting feeling really good about the music for the day and he walked us through all the logistics and answered all of our questions. On wedding day, Ryan was the best! He was super professional but also really fun at the same time. He kept the energy up during the reception and knew what to play to keep the crowd on the dance floor. We can't recommend Sound By Design enough!

The dancing was the part of the wedding that I cared most about, and Sound By Design made our night magical! The dance floor was packed the entire time. Conner knew exactly the vibe we were looking for and read the room perfectly. We cannot recommend them enough!!!!

We booked both our DJ and Photo Booth through Sound by Design. Sam did a fantastic job of keeping the energy high and keeping people out on the dance floor. We all had a wonderful night :) the Photo Booth was so much fun and our guests enjoyed it. Working with Sound by Design was super easy. This DJ service had a music portal where we could add in all our guests requests before the wedding day so we had a great mixture of songs. The DJ Trent and his assistant were upbeat and kept the dance floor full until our guests left the reception. Only reason for 4 stars is because it was very difficult to get a hold of anyone from this DJ company to discuss questions prior to getting assigned our DJ 30 days before the big day. So it added a little stress to wedding planning. Overall great experience the day of and they seem like great guys to work with and everyone had fun out on the dance floor!

Sound by Design was so fun, yet professional to work with. They answered all of our questions in a timely manner and provided suggestions that elevated our event. And when the big day came, our dance floor was packed until the very end. We couldn't have been happier with their services.

We were very impressed with the communication of this company. We were given updates throughout the planning process and were able to add a photo-booth on last minute with no planning on our part (except for picking a backdrop). This company uses an app that you can upload all of the music that you want to play at your wedding including ceremony, first dances, dinner, etc. We were able to also put music in a "do not play" playlist as well to ensure that the music we don't like was not played. We were able to add playlists to the app as well that weren't already made for us (like "Guest Requests"). We had a final meeting with our lead DJ, Gavvin, who was great. We did a quick facetime call so that he could get to know us before the big day. He was able to cut songs to the certain times we wanted, fade songs into each other, and change things based on how the day went. We weren't entirely sure what we wanted to do for our Grand March and he pulled it together 30 minutes before dinner. Gavvin and his assistant, Allen, were fantastic throughout the night. They really stayed true to what we wanted for our music choices and had an awesome vibe! The contract we signed states that we had to tip the DJ at least 15% of the services so this is something to note. For our photobooth, they set up exactly where we asked them to and didn't require any questions from us. Our Classic Photobooth came with a backdrop, unlimited photos for 4 hours with print outs that guests could take home. The attendant also helped create a photobook (that was included with the service) that we were able to have as a keepsake! The photobooth was a hit and we ended up with about 400 pictures.

Sound by Design was such a great choice for us. Carter, the DJ on site, was super responsive, fun to work with and was great at reading the room vibes and adjusting the music so the dance floor stayed full. Rick and the Sound By Design team were fantastic!! Rick created the perfect vibe for every part of our wedding - ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. And Rick's DJ skills were INCREDIBLE. We (and SO MANY) of our wedding guests danced the night away to all of our favorite hits. Rick was somehow able to read our mind to create the perfect atmosphere. We had an incredible time. SBD was amazing to work with. We loved their online music portal and meeting with our DJ to go over our specific first dance that was a little non-traditional. Rob was great to work with. He was super friendly, professional, and understanding of what our overall vibe was for the evening. We received so many compliments about the music at our wedding! Trent was the DJ for our wedding recently and he knocked it out of the park. A week after the wedding we are still receiving texts from our guests saying our great the DJ was and how much fun the dance floor was throughout the night. He played a ton of our requests but also mixed in a lot of other songs that worked perfectly into an awesome setlist. The planning leading up to the wedding with SBD was very easy as well and they really strived to get a feel for what kind of vibes we wanted on our dance floor. I highly recommend SBD for any wedding or event and especially Trent for everything he did for us!

We hired Sound By Design to DJ our wedding this past September. They were a pleasure to work with! They didn't bog us down with too many meetings or communications leading up to our big day, but mostly communicated details in the 2 weeks leading up to our wedding day. Our venue had 3 different areas where we needed music and/or working microphones. They did an amazing job setting up all of these areas and ensuring that microphones worked properly. Our lead DJ, Gavvin, was extremely nice, professional, and high energy! He really instilled confidence in us that everything was going to go smoothly and he definitely executed on that promise. He timed all the music properly, the microphones worked well and everyone was able to be heard during ceremony and speeches, and he really worked with us on the dance floor to switch up songs on the fly to keep the energy strong. What I loved most was that Gavvin was having a lot of fun with us at our wedding! It truly didn't look or feel like he was "working". We are so happy with how Sound by Design executed on our wedding day and would recommend them to anyone in the Milwaukee - Oshkosh area looking for a reputable and reliable wedding DJ.

Ryan and his colleague were amazing for our wedding! They had some sick song transitions and kept folks dancing the entire night! They were super flexible and easy to work with. They were communicative, easy to talk to, and answered all of our questions leading up to our wedding day. Shortly before our big day, we had the opportunity to meet with Trent. He is so friendly, so cool, easy-going, and energetic - we absolutely loved working with him! When we changed a few of our songs last minute the week of the wedding, he was flexible and made sure of the changes. Trent played the PERFECT music - we asked to start the night with classic weddings, throw in a slow song or two, and then transition to college dance hits (reliving our best lives). We had the BEST time dancing with our friends and family because of Trent. Our college friends got reallllly into the dancing, our fun aunts and uncles were feeling it, and he even got our baby cousins on the dance floor. So, a million thanks to Trent and SBD for helping us have the best day ever! We can’t recommend him and the crew enough!

We were hesitant to go with a DJ for our fall 2022 wedding but decided it be a solid idea to go with a company that's local and reputable. Working with Sound by Design from start to finish was a treat. Communication was professional, there staff were very friendly and excited, and the ability to "create" the backbone of our wedding celebration playlist via their online portal was super cool. Furthermore, we worked directly with Max Dodge who was our DJ...and he was awesome! Having gone to other weddings, oftentimes DJs can be tacky, annoying, fake, and too pushy...that's not the case at all with Max who is genuinely kind, was excited for us, and took time to meet with us in-person over a cup of coffee and learn about what our vision was for the day. He's got superb knowledge and taste in good music too! He spends hours before the big day, reading over our playlist and arranging it so everything flows smoothly. All said and done, we were so happy we picked Sound by Design and specifically Max Dodge to be spinning the tracks on our wedding day!

Music was one of our big priorities for our wedding day & Sound By Design definitely delivered! From day 1, the company was super responsive & organized. For our wedding day, we were matched with DJ Trent who kept the dance floor PACKED from the first song all the way until the very end. He did a great job not only playing the songs we requested but also by seamlessly reading our crowd and playing songs to keep the party going! One of the biggest highlights from our big day is how much fun we had on the dance floor with our friends & family courtesy of Sound By Design!

They did an amazing job and we loved using the app for all of our song choices and recommendations! Be aware they do expect a 15% tip of the total cost.

We were able to give some specific songs and a general idea of the music we enjoyed and Mateo created a fantastic playlist that kept everyone dancing all night long. Even my grandparents said they’ve never danced so much at a wedding (they stayed up much later than their bedtime too!). The music was great for all ages.

Sound by Design truly blew us away. When we were first assigned our DJ (Max), we told him that the music/dance floor was the most important part of the day for us. We wanted to make sure everyone danced the night away.... His response was "challenge accepted" and WOW, did he show up with the greatest dance floor playlist I have ever heard/been a part of!! For several days after the wedding, friends, family, everyone raved about how incredible the music was and how it was such a great dance party. My favorite comment came from some of my older relatives saying "We kept thinking, 'okay, after this song we will take a break from dancing' but then another incredible song came on and we had to stay - we were on the dance floor all night!" Shoutout to the absolute best DJ and photobooth company for making our wedding reception one to remember! Connor and Miguel were an absolute hit, playing the best music that also matched our (and our guests) music tastes. Our DJ (Sam) and the Sound By Design team did an amazing job with our wedding! Sam did the DJ, emcee and lighting services for our wedding, and everything looked and sounded amazing. The music was perfect during the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner, and the reception music hit the tone just right to get everyone onto the dance floor and keep them dancing. Sam showed up right on time and was so easy to work with. We highly recommend them and they helped to create a really wonderful atmosphere throughout our day.

Choosing music for our wedding was very nerve-wracking. My profession is classical music, and my husband shares my passion for music. We have created shared playlists for events and trips together our entire relationship, and we wanted someone who totally understood our vision. Jack was outstanding. From the first meeting, he absolutely understood. My husband entered in a lot of ideas and suggestions to the Sound By Design portal, and he absolutely ran with it. Every moment of the reception was fantastic. Friends were singing along during dinner, the dance floor was packed all night, and Jack was the perfect emcee.
