This really helped me make the decision to book with them since I am a very visual person and appreciated the extra mile Monica went to make sure I had no questions left unanswered. During the planning process Monica was always easy to get in touch with and answer any questions I had. She even helped with last minute additions I requested like adding a guest book for the photobooth and editing some songs for the reception. On the day of our wedding both Monica and Jorge and their assistants were great! Everyone loved the photo booth, the up-lights really helped set the mood, and the DJ played great songs to keep us dancing all night long. While we did have a long list of “must play” songs, Jorge did not play all of them but I think this is because he was trying to keep people on the dance floor and keep the vibe up so he went with some of his own selections which worked out great! We also had a gobo light and personalized picture print outs from the photo booth which Monica was very patient with showing me the many different options for each. I highly recommend Sound Event DJ for your wedding! They helped us have an amazing wedding and party!

ensure we got the one I liked. For my first dance I asked for a cloud dance with dry ice and Monica even made it so that we had enough for one more for our private last dance. They went above and beyond and you can tell they both know what they're doing and really really love it.

e our day the most spectacular day of our lives! The pre-wedding communication was excellent and they were completely open to changing anything we wanted. In addition to phone calls and emails, we had a great zoom session with Monica the week prior to finalize all the details and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. During the wedding, Jorge did an excellent job with timing songs, announcements, and volume exactly as we requested. We had a violinist during the ceremony and we have received so many compliments with how beautiful it was to have the musician before and during the ceremony. We also used the photobooth and monogram options which our guests loved as well! Monica and Jorge are such a pleasure and made everything turn out so perfectly. We thank you a million times over for making our day so special! Highly recommend!!!

e crowd, keep the event moving and match the music is SO important at a wedding and Jorge does a fantastic job! Monica worked with me so closely to plan the evening and then Jorge really executed with excellence. He even played songs from a Spotify playlist I created with some specific music at just the right time. Everyone had a blast dancing and it went better than I could have imagined. I also used Monica for the photo booth which was really fund and a great addition as well. I highly recommend them and would 100% hire them again!

Working with George, Monica and their whole team throughout our 3 year wedding planning process (including 2 rescheduled dates) was not only easy but it was enjoyable as well. They are amazing people and will make you feel relaxed while planning on of the biggest days of your life! We hope to work with them again in the future. Also, we would highly recommend renting one of their photo booths! We rented the greenery wall with a neon sign and the pictures came out amazing and the flash disk includes gifs of the photos as well which has been hysterical to look back at.

ce. The songs that he mixed in with our requested songs did not work for the party. He did not wear a mask, even though we were told by the owner that all of her DJs wear masks unless they are speaking into the mic. He seemed confused with the timeline and he kept coming up to my wife and I during the reception to confirm every next step, even though we had given him the schedule before the wedding. At the end of the night, he decided to give a speech where he brought up Christianity and Jesus. We are not a religious couple and were very intentional about not having religion as a part of our wedding. I had to yell out in front of our guests to tell him to stop because we are not religious. We also had mixed gender and gender non-binary wedding party members that we called grooms-people and brides-people. During the introduction of the grooms-people and brides-people, he made a snarky comment about not knowing what those labels meant and that he was "just reading from the paper". He also pronounced the groom's name wrong the whole night, even after being corrected. However, if that had been our only issue, it would have not been a big deal. We felt very frustrated with the performance of the DJ and with his general behavior. We let the owners know of our issues after the wedding and they genuinely tried to make it right. The problem is, the owners are not the ones who show up to perform, so from our experience, we cannot recommend this company. Lastly, we did want to mention that the owner did say that they have a DJ who sometimes works with them who is admittedly homophobic (this person was not the DJ for our wedding, the owner just told us this). If anyone in the LGBTQ+ community is thinking about using this company, make SURE to tell the owners that you do not want the homophobic DJ....

I told them the goal was to have people dancing the entire night and I can say guests were on the dance floor from the beginning until the end, whether they were in their 20s or 80s. Multiple guests told me the night of and the weeks following, how great the music was and how much fun it was. Monica and Jorge went above and beyond all the expectations I had. Do not have any hesitation booking them, you will not regret it. Thank you guys so much for making our wedding unforgettable!

the dance floor the whole night! We got several compliments from guests about how much they loved the music and flow of the songs. We also went with the photobooth, which was a HIT. There were so many great props and we loved that we were able to choose the design of the prints and receive a digital copy of the photos that same night! So glad we didn't have to hire a separate vendor for this. During the planning process, Monica was super communicative, reassuring, and best of all, organized. We were able to input must-play songs, genre preferences, and extra details in a digital planner and met to review everything together beforehand. If we ever had any questions or concerns, she was quick to respond and jump on a call regardless of how busy they were! Sound Event DJ's was truly wonderful to work with and we can't recommend them enough for anyone looking for DJ services!

Jorge and I must say they did not disappoint! Communication with Monica was top notch and constant, she never made me feel like I was bugging her with my endless questions and changes I was making with our timeline lol I was never waiting around for her to get things done, she was on top of all the details, helped me make sure all my boxes were checked for my big day. I remember one day I was stressing and she told me “Relax, take a deep breath, your day will be absolutely perfect, don’t stress this, we got this” and that meant the world to me. On our wedding day, she kept us on track with our timeline, she didn’t miss a beat and I must say everything turned out even better than I could have imagined. The music was perfect, they played the songs we wanted and knew how to keep the dance floor packed! 💃🏻🕺🏻 Oh!!! And how can I forget our photo booth with all the props! That was a total hit and everyone loved it! literally the hardest vendor decision for me because I was worried that a DJ wouldn't have the same energy as a band (couldn't find one that I connected with). I spent hours talking to other DJs that just didn't seem authentic (literally every one spent most of our conversation talking about their radio/celebrity/nightclub experience). But, after speaking to Monica my decision was made. I told her what I wanted, what my budget was, what I didn't need and she delivered! Monica and Jorge weren't just trying to make money; they wanted me to have the wedding of my dreams--which it was! This is literally the best dj + photo booth in all of South Florida!!! Every single one of my guests couldn't stop talking about how fun the reception was, how good the music was and how sore they were from dancing all night!! 10/10 would recommend!!

run smoothly! I had several people telling me I needed a ‘day-of’ coordinator; I was pretty set on not using one, but everyone’s comments made me doubt. Sincerely with Sound Event DJs (and my reception venue), it was not needed for me, because they were amazing at coordinating the events of the reception. Monica was in continuous communication with me prior to the wedding. She is easy to talk to and responsive. Once I had the order of events for the evening organized, we had a conversation about it about a week prior to the wedding and everything ran so smoothly on the big day. Their timing of when dances/ speeches are going to happen, the quality of their sound system, the knowledge they have in how many speakers to use for how big the party is, lighting placement, experience at my my reception venue, and of course the music – everything - amazing. I was a bit worried about lighting being right for the speeches and dinner vs for the dance party, the obvious need for different tones needed to be set. They hit it on the nail. Monica sent me pictures before hand of what different color up-lighting looked like at my venue. They have a website/ system in which you can in-put requested songs; I also gave them a play-list on a word document, and they stuck to it/ pick up on the vibe of it, and of the crowd. My dance floor was packed all-night! I and so many of my guests really had an amazing time at my reception and I have this company in big part to thank! So, sincerely BIG thank you!!!! I would use them again/ recommend them to anyone in a heart-beat!

o helping us with the planning and timeline for the evening - we didn’t use a planner so Monica basically took over and walked me step by step through the ceremony and reception and helped me plan each detail. George was our DJ and he was the best! He had the perfect music going at all times and really played stuff that everyone of different ages and music preferences actually enjoyed. He kept the whole flow of the night running smoothly and kept the energy fun! And we LOVED the photo-booth Monica put together for us, the photos from that night are the best. Everything was paid for through an online portal, which made it simple and easy. For the day of, we ended up having Rudy as our DJ, and he was amazing! He incorporated some playlists we had prepared, as we had the wedding at home, and it was much longer than most. And then he did a great job of playing other requested music from the company's online planning portal. He even had backup equipment and was able to quickly troubleshoot a microphone issue during the evening. I really could not recommend them more!!!

all, I had complete trust in both Jorge and Monica. I never ever felt the need to check on them or make sure they did certain things because I know everything would happen as planned. I just enjoyed my wedding in peace and watched as the magic unfolded. You can't compromise on your MC/DJ. They are the life of the party and the backbone of your event... and Sound Event DJs is the way to go. They were the easiest vendor to work with and gave me the most magic and oomff. Can't beat that. I wanted this, this, and that... and I got this, this, and that plus magic. Done deal!
