When I spoke with our assigned DJ (shout out Steven Harris!), I felt so reassured and understood. He asked great questions to confirm what we did and didn't want, made suggestions that were brilliant, and I knew his experience and values were aligned with the kind of event we wanted so we felt confident and trusting that he would guide the evening through music, and he did!
Overall, we felt connected to and trusting of this person who played an important role for our big day and felt like he was one of our guests and one of our people. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ and working with them was easy and enjoyable!

y playlist for the reception and Steven was able to use and build off that. He gave us a call before our wedding and we chatted for a bit and got to know each other and his style. He was very nice and professional, giving good recommendations from past experience as to what other couples had done and what had worked well. On the day of our wedding, he came to set up at a time that was out of the way and before the reception. He made sure to seek us out to introduce himself in person before the reception started. He was very professional throughout the entire event. He made sure he had pronunciations of bridal party names correct which was impressive. When the time came after dinner for speeches, Steven noticed I (bride) wasn't finished eating yet so he kept the music going to delay a bit so I could finish eating which was super considerate. After I finished he cleared my plate too to make sure it wouldn't be in photos. He dealt with drunk guests great and made sure to thank us at the end of the evening for choosing him for the event. He did such an amazing job keeping the party going and blended the songs so the music flowed smoothly. So many quests talked about how great the music was. Make sure to give Sound Extreme a shout for your next DJ'd event and ask for Steven! Best wedding DJ I've seen yet

We got so many compliments about them and people LOVED the mashups they did. Even though our father/daughter and mother/son songs seemed to accidentally get switched (which both worked for us and is funny to look back on now), we absolutely loved working with him and would work with Sound Extreme again. The only feedback I received was that at the end of the night, while the venue & planner were trying to give direction for the sparkler exit, the music just abruptly stopped so, I think we probably could have just turned down the music to serve as background music. I think some guests only noticed because they were having such an awesome time! Steven was the BEST!!!!

Sandy was also easy to work with. He was happy to incorporate our music preferences into the wedding ceremony and reception. We wanted an eclectic mix of older songs, non-english music, and modern songs. Sandy was able to incorporate these very different genres together flawlessly. We also wanted to incorporate games into the reception which Sandy helped lead and explain to the guests.
Overall, we were extremely happy with Sandy and Sound Extreme Entertainment and would recommend them to anyone looking for an MC for wedding ceremony and/or wedding reception in the Asheville area.

We did a sweet song and then went into a choreographed dance to a bunch of popular dance songs. I wanted people to actually think the song messed up (record skips just aren't believable people!) So I edited the song to skip and then play the windows logoff sound - and asked billy to play it up to make people think his equipment was really malfunctioning. He played it PERFECTLY! People even started to clap because they thought that was the end. Then we came in with our surprise dance and it was a huge hit! Also--and hopefully this won't apply to you--we should mention that we had a booked a DJ with another company (DJ G Syde from Atlanta) who cancelled on us with about three weeks left before the wedding. Sound Extreme came to the rescue and worked with us to ensure that we had a great experience. We'll always be grateful for that.
