Our experience with FX Entertainment was great!. We had to delay our reception multiple times over 3 years due to Covid and John Pollard worked with us from beginning to end. He wa...
s very professional and walked us through possible timelines for the event while being receptive and responsive to our input. He was a calming presence when there were many things to consider and he collaborated well with our event planner, videographer and photographer. We had requested a video snippet to be played prior to our introduction and a specialty mix that blended 2 songs for our first dance to be made and based on the reaction from our guests John delivered! On the night of the reception, it was planned that John Mathias would take over after the first 2 hours and the transition was seamless. He kept the itinerary on track while keeping the party moving and the multiage crowd engaged! In addition, we had the photo booth option and that was a huge hit! There were a variety of props and the participation was phenomenal. We are thrilled with our experience with FX Entertainment and would not hesitate to rebook or recommend them!
We used FX Entertainment for our wedding and John Pollard was our DJ- he is the absolute best!! He new the timeline of everything and helped make everything flow. We did not expect...
much dancing, but he knew what songs to keep playing to keep our dance floor packed all night! John truly helped make our reception perfect!
Sound FX is a great DJ company for a great price! Unfortunately, we did not get to meet our DJ John Mathis prior to the wedding day, but the owner assured me that we would be in go...
od hands and we were! I NEVER had to worry! My ONLY recommendation would be to break up the ice breaker songs during the reception rather than back to back to give the guests a break because they sure were breaking a sweat! Thank you so much for a fun evening Sound FX entertainment!
DJ John Mathis did a great job at our wedding. He was perfectly present; he didn't detract from our guests or pretend to be deeply involved in our family/relationship, but knew exa...
ctly what he was talking about and made his voice heard when needed. He was so nice and genuinely wanted us to be happy on the day. I really enjoyed when he would check in with us throughout the night. He really wanted to make sure we were getting everything we wanted. Before the wedding, though, it was really difficult to get a hold of FX Entertainment. I often had to e-mail, call, and text multiple times before I could get a response. They missed our first meeting (although they had a pretty good excuse, they could've done better at letting us know), and when I had to reschedule a meeting, I couldn't get a hold of anyone to let them know I couldn't make it. I was extremely happy with the end result of our collaboration, but be prepared to have to hunt them down all the time.

liments on the music selection. He and JP really worked hard to keep everyone on the dance floor. Wonderful job!!! We loved that Sound FX added to the day without taking over. Everything went off without a hitch! We recommend Sound FX for all of your DJ needs.
We used Sound FX Entertainment for our wedding - and we were really glad we did. The experience was first class from our first meeting with John Pollard to the very last song he pl...
ayed for us. Nothing was too much trouble and everybody had a wonderful time. Thank you!
FX Entertainment did a great job DJ-ing my wedding reception! We had a planning meeting a few weeks before the wedding to go over all the details, and John (also the owner) was so ...
helpful in suggesting wedding trends and good ideas to make the reception run smoothly. I gave him a list of songs I'd like to be played and also to give him some direction on what type of music we liked, and the playlist he came up with was great! He was very good with the guests (obviously) and got everyone dancing and having a good time. My mom and I booked FX Entertainment at a bridal show, and we got a really good deal, so I thought the pricing was reasonable. I would recommend FX to anyone!!
For our wedding in March 2014, we booked with FX Entertainment for our DJ services. We met John Pollard at a bridal show and were just intrigued with his charisma. When you are a D...
J, you have got to have a personality that will engage people, especially at a wedding. He met with us a couple times to go over everything and to get a feel of what we wanted and our music selections. I did notice at our reception that he just felt out what got the guests dancing and he stuck with that theme, which was totally cool with me. I just wanted everyone to have a great time and he was good at ensuring that happened. He mentioned that we could be as strict as we wanted or as easy going as we wanted and he would make it all happen. FX Entertainment was a great company to work with. He is also the DJ at the Glass Cactus in Grapevine so you can go and listen to him before you actually book with him which I found quite nice. John was great and we even received compliments about how fun our DJ was!
Our DJ John was so laid back and easy going- not your typical DJ and that was just what we wanted. He asked all the necessary details and made sure the day of ran smoothly! From th...

us feel at ease about how the nights events would run. Our DJ Tory was great and got our guests to their feet most of the night. He even helped us out with one of the dances some of us were having trouble remembering. Over all we were very pleased with all of the services provided to us through this company.
Our DJ was great! He was easy to work with and played a great selection of music. He really listened to what my husband and I wanted. All the guests loved him!
The staff at FX Entertainment is wonderful! John, David and Melissa were so easy to work with and delivered on everything we asked for! On the evening of the wedding, David was so ...
flexible and kept things moving right along without making us feel rushed. He seemed to always be right there when we needed him. For being a DJ, he seemed to wear several "hats"! I would recommend this company 1000%!!! Great price too!
John did great. He played exactly what we asked him too. His MJ skills were good (only talked when he needed too) and the dance floor was full the whole time. Already had another f...
riend book him because they enjoyed him so much. Highly recommend and one of the best prices I could find.
John Pollard was our DJ and he was great! So good to get along with and he is definitely not one of those annoying/sleazy DJs either! He kept the party going and played all the son...
