Sound Quest Djs are the absolute best! Cheramie and Hal are thorough, professional and fun! They kept the dance floor full all night, and kept up with all of our requests. The photo booth is a must have addition as well that all of our guests loved. They definitely exceeded our expectations and would whole heartedly recommend them to anyone!

Sound Quest DJs does an amazing job! My husband and I have been to four other weddings where they were the dj, and they were the first vendor we agreed on when planning our own wedding. Hal and Cheramie make sure the vibes are exactly what you are looking for, and they have great add ons in addition to the dj-ing. We were so impressed with them, and I had so many guests tell me during our reception how much they loved the dj! We had a New Years Eve wedding, and Hal had the dance floor full all night long! You cannot go wrong with them!

Soundquest did an outstanding job at our daughters wedding from the ceremony to last dance. They definitely personalized everything for the bride and groom and their preferences. Everyone truly had an amazing time. Hal was very professional and seemed dedicated to making things run smoothly. I’m 100% convinced that his attention to detail and music selections played a major part in giving them the perfect night!

Cheramie & Hal were so much fun to work with and are very flexible. We had a long time planning due to COVID-19 pushing out original wedding date back, and they both made it easy and stress free. Our wedding guests enjoyed the music, and Hal put together a stellar playlist for us. The photo booth was also a huge hit! Thank you SoundQuest DJs!

Hal is the BEST! He is so knowledgeable and gives great suggestions if you don't already have songs in mind. He made sure to play exactly what we wanted and made sure the whole night went smoothly. Our cake cutting even took a little longer than planned and he recognized what was going on and replayed the song for us! Cannot say enough great things about Hal! You will not be disappointed with booking Sound Quest DJs!!

We feel like Hal is part of the family. He was the DJ for my son's and in a few short months he will be with us for our daughter's. He has also done many of their friend's receptions. Highly recommend!! See you soon Hal!!!

The best in the business! Friendly and professional. Great at reading the crowd and picking the best tunes. Hal's music choices had my guests dancing all night long. We also had the Photo Booth and it was a crowdpleaser. So fun to get the photos back and see how much fun the guests were having.

Very professional, met with us in advance to set up a schedule and go through song requests and particular moments of our reception! The play list was amazing and we were dancing the whole time! The photo booth was also a huge hit, especially with the younger party goers. Would definitely recommend Hal and Cheramie!

Hal and Cheramie were absolutely wonderful! From the preparation to the execution, I knew we were in good hands for both days of our wedding festivities. Everything was absolutely perfect - Hal set the perfect tone at every moment, was thoughtful in all his song selections, and matched the energy of the room all weekend long. Would highly recommend!

Hal absolutely blew us away at our wedding; it was absolutely perfect! I got compliments on the music all night long from every generation. We had an amazing time, and his announcements throughout the evening were perfect. It was so easy and great to communicate with Hal and his wife leading up to the day, too, even when I probably drove them crazy accidentally asking the same question five different times - they were completely understanding and helpful. Absolutely recommended!

We had an absolute blast working with Sound Quest DJs. They made the whole night run smoothly. As the bride, it felt good to know that someone was helping me through it so that I didn't have to worry! The music definitely kept the party going. Our wedding was the party of the century! The DJ that we hired from Sound Quest DJs was amazing!! He kept the dance floor packed all night and we had so much fun. He was also so incredibly nice and accommodating because we had some inclement weather that called for some last minute changes. Blake rolled with the punches wonderfully and my guests loved the reception!!! Everyone had such a great time.

Overall SoundQuest was great. Communication with me prior to the wedding was excellent. But the day of the wedding I was pretty disappointed as the DJ messed up our first dance song. We had been taking dance lessons and had the entire dance choreographed and we requested that the song be faded out at a specific time and that was when we were going to end the dance with a dip, but the DJ kept the song playing so we kind of just had to step away from each other and walk off the dance floor because the music kept playing. It was extremely disappointing.

Cheramie and Hal were amazing to work with. Their DJ played almost everything we requested and we had an amazing wedding. Highly recommend!

All I can say is WOW. Hal and Cheramie did everything that was in their power to make our day as wonderful as possible. The music was fabulous, my guests were raving about the energy and perfect balance of the songs. Soundquest gave my husband and me a night that we will never forget. The photo booth was awesome! Cheramie was so insightful with everything wedding and made sure I was comfortable and knew what to expect day of. Riley helped with the photo booth and everyone had a blast with her. The photo booth photos we have from the wedding were so fun and truly is the best way to remember our special day. Everyone at Soundquest is so friendly and knowledgeable; and truly provides outstanding services. I recommend them to all my family and friends.

Cheramie and Hal made sure to accommodate our (admittedly picky) wishes and wants for our reception music. Everything was perfect- our DJ was Blake, and he ensured that the songs flowed perfectly and made the evening a blast for everyone. They're very personable as well, so meeting them in their lovely home was a great way to unwind and really give some thought to the songs for the bridal procession, groomsmen, our first dance, etc. As if all this weren't enough, they are very reasonably priced compared to similar vendors in the Columbia area. Absolutely perfect! Hal and Cheramie are awesome! They were so incredibly helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. They offer everything you could possibly need for entertainment. Our family and friends absolutely loved the photo booth and tore up the dance floor to the music. I could not recommend Sound Quest DJ enough.

My family and I were so impressed with Blake and his talents for my sisters wedding two years ago, we had to hire him for mine as well. Blake along with Cheramie and her husband with Sound Quest DJ's were great to work with and everything was exactly as I requested.

We used Sound Quest for our recent wedding and couldn't be happier with the service we received. Hal and Cheramie took the time to make sure everything went smoothly and our dj Blake was phenomenal, I might be biased, but the amount of people actually dancing at our reception was better than any wedding I've been too in a long time. The dancing was so good we had a little trouble getting in some of our requested songs, but with a reminder Blake got them in.

Cheramie and Hal are the best! They were by far our most fun vendors and we genuinely enjoyed our meetings with them. Turns out they live in our neighborhood and we had our consultations in their home. They were so inviting and warm. We were a bit worried about the timing of my walk down the aisle (the song had to be cut at a certain time due to dramatic change in sound), but Hal eased our worries and made it seem like no big deal. He also understood our likes and dislikes because we have very similar taste in music! We got lucky on that one! All in all, we couldn't have imagined anyone else taking care of the entertainment on our big day! Highly recommended!

Sound Quest DJS were absolutely fabulous! It is a small family owned business and we spoke directly with the husband and wife team, Cheramie and Hal Deadwhyler. They made sure to go over every single detail, even things I hadn't thought about, in order to make our day run smoothly. They made it so easy and stress-free and Hal kept our evening running smoothly and the dance floor packed! I was not going to get a DJ, but I am so glad that we went with Sound Quest DJs. I can't say enough about their service! They also were very affordable and worked with our budget. We were able to use their services for the ceremony and reception, as well as uplighting.

I looooooove Sound Quest dj. I used them for my ceremony music and their photobooth. I wanted to use them for my DJ too because they DJ's I met at the bridal expo had great personalities and aren't cheesy like a lot of other local companies. They are laid back and fun and don't wear cheesy outfits with fake radio voices the only reason they were not my DJ was because my dad wanted to use his brothers band from Atlanta. They used every song I wanted for ceremony music. Faded it exactly as I instructed. The photobooth was fun and their employee that manned it was so nice and helpful. They provide the fun hats and masks for ppl to wear in the pictures. And the value was amazing. I had the photobooth open for 3 hours.

Sound Quest DJ's allowed us to meet with them before and they had any suggestions for songs. They DJ was able to look at the crowd and play music based on what he thought. He was professionally and even had bubbles be blown at the end. The monogram lighting they provided was beautiful.

I found soundquest DJ's at the bridal expo, and absolutely fell in love with them. I did one of their raffles for a $100 off and won! However, at that time, which was the early stages of my wedding planning, I thought they were a tad bit out of my budget. I started "shopping around," met with different Dj's, and realized their prices were VERY good compared to other DJs and were VERY professional. I can write a whole book on the Dj's I met but I want to get to the point. Hal, the DJ we went with from soundquest was so amazing. He made us feel so comfortable, had so many great ideas but also understood once the word "no" came out, it was a no. He is extremely outgoing and such a fun person, we knew that he was going to be a crowd pleaser. I have seen him at friend's weddings, where he had either ran the show, be in the background, and everything in between, so I knew he was going to be able to do whatever we asked him to. And he did. The first half of our reception was a little on the quiet side since all the "old peeps" were there. My husband and I did a "mock leave" so we can get all the old peeps out and once they left, the party really started. I am the type of person who waits till last minute, very unorganized, and is always all over the place, and of course, I did not have a coordinator at my reception. Hal stepped in and helped with everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. He took care of all my guests very well and everyone had such an amazing time. He was able to pick up very quickly on what type of music my guests enjoyed. So many people came up to me at the end of the night to tell me how AWESOME my Dj was. My whole wedding planning process was very stressful and full of chaos, but my DJ made all that stress go away! I would throw another party just so I can hire Hal again! Thank you Soundquest for making our night amazing and for all that you did for us!

Absolutely amazing!! They accomodate your needs without any hesitation and willing to make last minute changes with a smile. The music was so awesome that several guests asked for his play list! They worked great with the crowd and constantly checked with me through out the evening to ensure we stayed within our time line. I highly recommend them.

The best reception a bride could ask for and it goes all to DJ Jeff from Sound Quest! Mrs. Tammy who is the owner with her husband do an amazing, organized, and thorough job of making this event one to remember! The dedication and energy that they bring to your wedding is fantastic! My guests (of all ages) stayed on the dance floor and made it the best party I have ever thrown! I would highly recommend them to any bride and groom who want to boogie on down and have your guests talking it about it for weeks! They did a great job and I do it all over again just to relive the fun had by all!

They are amazing! Our DJ had everybody dancing all night. He played various little games/jokes to get every one involved. He did not sit behind a table all night but instead was very involved and showed everybody the different dances. We were all sore from dancing the night away! My family will work with Soundquest DJ again.

They were willing to play music that my groom provided during dinner. Although they strayed from our playlist, they played music that had our guests on the dance floor.;They enjoy selecting popular music and they stand firm that they 'are the professionals' (despite totally un-related day jobs and less that hip taste as they are twice our age). If you want to hear anything off the beaten path, don't expect them to be very accomodating. They work with their son, who just really didn't share our indie/alternative music sensibilites. At the end of the night, our guests had a great time dancing to played out disco tunes, so we figure that's what matters, right?
