I would recommend Scott and Sound Selection 100x over! Working with them was incredibly seamless. I never felt like I had to worry during the planning stages since Scott kept us on track leading up to our wedding. My husband and I were initially concerned about the length of our first dance song, but Scott edited it so it was the perfect length but didn’t sound edited or awkward. Most importantly, Scott kept the energy high and the dance floor was absolutely packed the entire night! Scott and his team did such an incredible job. From the moment we hired him 1.5 year before our wedding, he assisted every step of the way and went above and beyond just DJing services. He helped plan, provided monthly reminders and checklists, and checked in with us frequently. When it came to wedding day, we knew we were in the right hands. He mixed songs of all generations and read the room perfectly. Everything was amazing, and the Photo Booth was such a hit too!! I’d recommend Scott and his team to anyone!

We hired Sound Selection for a photo booth at our event. Scott, the owner, was awesome! He answered my many questions leading up to the event, was very punctual, and was incredibly friendly with all of my guests, even when my great uncle talked his ear off! The pictures turned out amazing! He came with lots of props with everything organized and was incredibly patient with all the kids running around. We are extremely happy with making the decision and spending the money we did with Scott. Scott was extremely helpful from the first meeting throughout the entire process making sure we were on the right track and would answer any questions we may have had. Scott took out thoughts and music choices into consideration in all aspects of our wedding and made sure it worked throughout the ceremony to cocktail hour and throughout the night leading us into the getting on the dance floor and keeping our party alive. Scott was absolutely incredible to work with. From the very first meeting, we knew he was the best of the best. The entire planning process is made easy with Scott’s wedding planning form and client portal. He is always available to bounce ideas off of and really tailored it to us as a couple. The attention to detail is unmatched, details we hadn’t even thought of. Some of our guests said it was the most fun wedding they’ve ever been to! The added touches are also a nice bonus! We have an audio recording of our ceremony, danced on a cloud, have all the photos of the live feed of from the reception and had a slide show playing of photos with each of our parents for parent dancing-which was extra special through the multi media experience. I want to start by saying that I have ZERO regrets “splurging” on Sound Selection! At first, we were surprised by some of their rates, but quickly realized that we were getting way more than we paid for or could have ever expected! We are so happy we decided to go with some of the extra lighting since it took our already beautiful venue to the next level. The photo booth was so much fun and a huge hit with all of our guests. Scott was so easy to work with before our big day and was prompt in replying to all of our communications. After our first meeting with Scott over Zoom I immediately felt incredibly calm and relieved of stress. The next meetings left me feeling just as calm and stress free! Scott guided us through every detail and moment, telling us what, where, and when we needed to be somewhere to keep to our schedule (toasts, dances, dinner, etc.) Several times throughout the night, Scott or one of his assistants checked in with us to make sure we were taken care of and that we were kept in the loop. Scott was super fun, and kept the dance floor packed! My father was even on the dance floor which I never thought I’d witness in my entire life!!! All of our guests are still raving about our DJ and I know at least two of our guests are planning on booking them. If you have the chance to hire Sound Selection, do yourself and your guests a favor and DO IT!!!

Working with Sound Selection was amazing. Every interaction was very professional from our first inquiry through the end of our wedding and beyond. Scott was very responsive to all of our email inquiries and gave us great advice for our wedding. He met with us several times over video conference to plan all of the details. During those meetings, he recommended things I would have never thought of. We owe most of the success of our wedding to Scott and his team. Scott was the DJ for our wedding. We are somewhat untraditional, but Scott knew exactly how to make everything perfect from the things that were traditional to the things that weren't. The music, lighting and photo booth were all perfect! All of our guests really enjoyed the song selection that Scott chose. We let him have free range with the genres we chose. From preplanning to the day of, everything went extremely smooth and was perfectly timed! I would absolutely give Scott more than a 10/10 if I could. We appreciate all the services he provided. We truly cannot say enough amazing things about Sound Selection and Scott Briggs & Team! If you are getting married in New York and are looking for your wedding DJ, I promise you will not find a better option than Scott Briggs/Sound Selection. Scott & team are truly the best and I am SO thankful I found them for our wedding. My husband and I got married at the Otesaga Resort in Cooperstown, NY on May 20th and we chose Sound Selection for for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception music, as well as uplighting & our photo booth. Everything was absolutely perfect and seamless - there were no hiccups or issues the entire evening and I had complete trust in Scott the whole time. People were on the dancefloor the entire night, and multiple people specifically told us our DJ was awesome! Scott is more than a wedding DJ - he literally helped us plan our wedding. We received helpful emails every month leading up to our wedding the whole year prior with tips and helpful reminders on what we should be doing and planning at that stage in the process. We also had 3 virtual meetings (we live in North Carolina) leading up to the wedding where we went over all details, asked questions, built ceremony and reception timelines, and made sure we were on the same page for everything. Scott was such a pleasure to work with - fun to talk to, extremely organized, and experienced. In addition to the music being perfect all evening, the photo booth was also a huge hit. We did a "glam booth" style photo booth- all black and white photos, no props, and a filter on it to make everyone look really good. It was exactly what I was envisioning and people loved it! The photo booth attendant was super nice and very helpful as well. The whole team (Scott and 2 assistants) was always so friendly, and happy to help in any way - there was a moment where we needed some extra batteries mid reception for something completely unrelated and Scott immediately handed over a pack of batteries for us which was amazing! We are beyond thankful we found & chose Scott Briggs/Sound Selection for our wedding, and highly recommend them. Scott is so organized, so talented, and such a pleasure to work with. Cannot thank them enough for helping to make our day so perfect!!

Scot is the real deal- he helps you design and organize you whole day from the tiny details and larger one. He emailed us monthly and made sure we were and where we should be on track via email. I cannot describe how happy I am with Scott. From the very first meeting we had he came up with such great ideas to make my wedding unique and fun. He was so easy to get ahold of and communicate with. I’m Romanian and he went out of his way to get Romanian songs to play at the wedding. The lighting was superb, the first dance on a cloud was so romantic, the photo booth was such a hit, the music selection was just amazing, the monogram was even better in person than I ever imagined. First off, no need to check out other DJ’s, Scott and his team are perfect to work with and will help/guide you through every step. Whether you have no clue what you’re doing or are extremely picky hands down Sound Seection is your choice. From cutting songs, personalized monograms, lighting, the photo booth and personalized magnets, his planning portal, monthly calendars, etc etc etc. Basically all I’m saying is you can’t go wrong with him. Scott and his entire team are literally THE BEST! Sound Selection was one of the first vendors we booked and they were so helpful and such a great company to work with through the entire process. The night of our wedding our guests were either on the dance floor or in the photo booth the entire night. Friends and family are still commenting about how great our DJ was and the photos from the photo booth are hilarious and something we’ll cherish forever. Having Sound Selection at our wedding was by far one of the best experiences that my husband and I could have asked for! Unfortunately due to Covid our wedding was forced to reschedule. Scott was so understanding, accommodating, and supportive during this trying time. Once we were ready to start planning our new date, we weren’t quite sure where to start, but during our meetings with Scott, he offered some awesome ideas and thoroughly walked us through how things usually work. That truly put our minds at ease and we really appreciated all of his knowledge and expertise. Throughout the entire planning process he was extremely helpful and prompt and continuously checked in to see if we needed assistance in other parts of the planning process. Since the wedding, We’ve received countless compliments about how fun our wedding was. Scott did a great job hosting the event and keeping up with the timeline we had created together. During dinner, the music was perfect and The dancing portion was awesome. Nearly every one of our guests made it to the dance floor, and the music was diverse enough that everyone seemed to have a great time. The photo booth we booked through Sound Selection was used all night and the photo memory book and all of the digital copies of the photos are something we’ll treasure forever. Our wedding was absolutely AMAZING thanks to Sound Selection! Seriously, we can’t thank you enough!!

We were so impressed and thankful for Scott! Scott was very professional and organized throughout the entire process! Scott always offered ideas and suggestions to make our wedding day even better. We cannot say enough about his process to make the planning stress free - he has the planning down to a science but always made time to speak or email us promptly whenever we needed anything! He also reached out to our bridal party to assist with preparing toasts and made many helpful suggestions based upon his experience that were well received by our guests. Scott was able to personalize our first dance song and took time to make it perfect. Most of all we are so thankful for the memories he helped us make.... there were many tearful moments as well as plenty of dancing throughout the entire evening! We loved many of the "tricks" he had in order to get our guests dancing. We highly recommend the uplighting, the Photo Booth, the personalized introductions and the guestbook. We have since left other weddings going: "Wow, we were so fortunate to have Scott for ours".

Scott was absolutely amazing!!! He was organized, sent us monthly lists of what we should be doing to keep up with our wedding plans, always offered to help us with whatever we needed, and he made it a priority to meet with us several times and make sure that he was doing what sounded best to us. He did an excellent job editing songs, doing all of the announcements at the wedding, making sure everything went smoothly, and the uplighting that we got through him was incredible. We LOVED everything about Sound Selection. Scott was amazing and seemed to truly care about us. I’m not sure if he ever even sleeps, because he was always available to help whenever we needed it! From the moment we found Sound Selection, we knew right away that we found the right DJ. From beginning to end, Scott was super organized, informative and ahead of the curve on everything we threw his way. He stayed in contact leading up to the wedding and was extremely helpful during our planning sessions. We booked DJ and photo booth service for our reception as well as DJ service for our ceremony. We also had uplighting, dance lighting and an animated monogram. At first my husband was skeptical about adding lighting but let me tell you, the lighting completely transformed our venue and created an atmosphere that was absolutely beautiful, yet still fun and energetic. We are SO GLAD we chose to include lighting. Oh and also, the custom magnetic frames for the photo booth were a huge hit!! Since the wedding, we’ve visited several friends and family members and have noticed the magnets on their fridges! We highly recommend Sound Selection! My wedding was one the best days of my life and Scott was a major factor in that. I knew after the first meeting Scott was more than just a DJ. Every meeting with Scott caused my Wife and I to be more and more excited about the wedding. I cannot express how amazing Scott is not only on the day of the wedding, but throughout the whole wedding planning process! He is so responsive to all inquiries and gives so many great recommendations when you're a little stuck. Leading up to the big day, he e-mails you monthly with little wedding checklists to make sure you have what you need done, and he is filled with incredible ideas that you may not even think of. His ability to be quick on his feet during the reception is truly incredible. For instance, we weren't going to have the person who caught the garter put it on the person who caught the bouquet. But once our "botany bro" (flower girl) was in the right place at the right time and caught the bouquet, and his friend caught the garter, I ran up to Scott and told him the garter placement is ON! It was such a riot, and he never missed a beat. He is truly there for each individual and makes sure that everything is exactly how you want it to be. His transitions are flawless and his ability to keep everyone on the dance floor having fun is incredible. Not to mention, my husband and I are still living in our 2007 "scene kid" days and we love pop/punk music, and somehow he managed to find the most BANGER version of Wonderwall I have ever heard. The whole night was perfect, and so much fun thanks to him! I highly recommend Scott for any and all occasions!

Scott was our DJ for our wedding in early June and did a PHENOMENAL job. Right from the start his organizational skills, attention to detail, and focus on our needs was impeccable. He put our minds at ease by being so on top of everything. He created our timeline, checked in throughout the planning process, and provided an online portal that made it so easy to add songs we wanted to request and schedule all of the songs we wanted played for our ceremony and reception. Throughout our day he was there for us every step of the way, checking in with us on timing and making sure everything was going according to plan. He sent tips to our family and friends who were giving speeches, and reached out with tips and advice throughout the planning process. Our venue did not provide any sort of wedding planner nor staff, but Scott made everything truly go so smoothly for us that we didn't worry for even a second. He got there to set up early, both for our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, did a perfect job with all of the ceremony songs, and played the exact type of music we wanted through cocktail hour and our reception. His uplighting worked extremely well for our darker venue, and really made the stone walls pop and gave the entire reception space a beautiful atmosphere. His mixing and flow is top notch and I did not leave the dance floor for a while! I can't recommend him enough. He is truly incredible, so professional, and offers many services that other DJs don't. Scott was ALWAYS available and easy to reach. Any time we had questions he was an email or text away and got back to us so quickly. When you're planning a wedding, quick responses like that are appreciated and we definitely appreciated Scott for that, among everything else he did for us! If you are looking for a DJ for your wedding or event, look no further. Scott should be your first and last call.

Scott was our DJ for our wedding in August at Cornerstone in Apalachin. He is an amazing DJ and we could not be happier that we chose him on our wedding day! From the very beginning he exceeded our expectations. He met with us many times to discuss ideas and to plan out our wedding ceremony and reception. He was more than “just a DJ” and went above and beyond throughout the entire wedding planning process. He had up to date equipment that really enhanced our reception. He had a personalized monogram at our reception and two flat screens that played slideshows during our first dance, father daughter and mother son dances. Guests could also send pictures and they could be displayed throughout the night on the screens! It was amazing. The photo booth was amazing also! Our guests loved it! He played amazing music all night long that kept people dancing until the very end! We highly recommend you book Scott for your wedding!

Scott was our DJ and MC for our wedding back in September 2018 and he was great! He was extremely organized from the time we booked him, laying out all information about his packages and answering any questions so we could choose the one right for our night, until after our wedding when he sent over some video clips his assistants had taken during the night. In addition, he kept our dance floor packed all night, mixing songs and reading the crowd. Some guests did not like the fact that he didn't take song requests from anyone other than the designated person (me). However, as the bride, I appreciated this because it meant everyone loved the music, not just the person that requested a specific song and it meant my husband and I always heard the music we wanted to hear. I would recommend Scott in a heartbeat for anyone looking to have no worries when it comes to music and an MC for their wedding and/or reception.

Scott did an excellent job for our wedding! We had a custom monogram, which turned out beautifully. Scott helped us with both a custom father and daughter dance and playing a song from the grooms grandfathers record. His website portal is extremely user-friendly and helped immensely when we were choosing songs and general music themes for the evening. Scott did an incredible job making the ceremony transition beautifully; no one had to question anything as the music led the way! Our guests cannot stop talking about how amazing he was at the reception. Scott went out of his way to do awesome, fun introductions for our wedding party, but a nice surprise were the introductions before the special dances! The music was absolutely perfect and people danced all night long - guests are still commenting on how much fun it was because of the music! Our guests also absolutely loved the photo booth - there was a line for it all night. The photo booth pictures were very high quality, and we were very happy to have digital copies of the gallery as well. If I could give more than 5 stars for the services provided, I would. If you are looking for a high quality, accommodating, professional DJ for a great price, Sound Selection is the way to go!

Scott was my only choice for my wedding. The moment I got engaged I knew we would book him. Our wedding was SO MUCH FUN that we are constantly joking about getting divorced and remarried every few years so we can do it all over again. I ran into hiccups and bumbs along the way as I planned my day BUT I NEVER had an issue with Scott. Everything was perfect. My shoes for my wedding didn't fit properly, my face broke out, there was no knife to cut the cake and I lost my earrings but an hour into the wedding, I was having so much fun that I didn't even care. We couldn't get people to leave once the wedding was over. Not only was the music as perfect as could be but the lights really brought everything together. We also used the photo-booth and now I have a scrapbook of all the photos to look back on. My friends will be using him and I can't wait to attend their weddings. If you want your guests to actually enjoy themselves, you need to book Scott. Dont spend your last hour of your wedding picking up your decorations because everyone left. Spend it kicking out your friends because they don't want to stop dancing. :)

Scott did an amazing job for our wedding on October 7th 2017. He was so helpful and easy to get ahold of. We met several times where he walked us through every single detail. The ceremony and reception music was perfect. Everyone was up dancing and several people told me it was the best wedding music they had ever heard. The personalized monogram was amazing and he even took a short video of our reception and posted it which we REALLY enjoyed seeing since we did not have a videographer. I would 100% recommend Sound Selection to anyone and everyone!
