Sound Selection DJ & Entertainment

Scott & team are truly the best and I am SO thankful I found them for our wedding. My husband and I got married at the Otesaga Resort in Cooperstown, NY on May 20th and we chose Sound Selection for for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception music, as well as uplighting & our photo booth. Everything was absolutely perfect and seamless - there were no hiccups or issues the entire evening and I had complete trust in Scott the whole time. People were on the dancefloor the entire night, and multiple people specifically told us our DJ was awesome! Scott is more than a wedding DJ - he literally helped us plan our wedding. We received helpful emails every month leading up to our wedding the whole year prior with tips and helpful reminders on what we should be doing and planning at that stage in the process. We also had 3 virtual meetings (we live in North Carolina) leading up to the wedding where we went over all details, asked questions, built ceremony and reception timelines, and made sure we were on the same page for everything. Scott was such a pleasure to work with - fun to talk to, extremely organized, and experienced. In addition to the music being perfect all evening, the photo booth was also a huge hit. We did a "glam booth" style photo booth- all black and white photos, no props, and a filter on it to make everyone look really good. It was exactly what I was envisioning and people loved it! The photo booth attendant was super nice and very helpful as well. The whole team (Scott and 2 assistants) was always so friendly, and happy to help in any way - there was a moment where we needed some extra batteries mid reception for something completely unrelated and Scott immediately handed over a pack of batteries for us which was amazing! We are beyond thankful we found & chose Scott Briggs/Sound Selection for our wedding, and highly recommend them. Scott is so organized, so talented, and such a pleasure to work with. Cannot thank them enough for helping to make our day so perfect!!

The lighting was superb, the first dance on a cloud was so romantic, the photo booth was such a hit, the music selection was just amazing, the monogram was even better in person than I ever imagined. All of my guests left the wedding wanting more which was our goal. I highly recommend him to be your DJ!

Once we were ready to start planning our new date, we weren’t quite sure where to start, but during our meetings with Scott, he offered some awesome ideas and thoroughly walked us through how things usually work. That truly put our minds at ease and we really appreciated all of his knowledge and expertise. Throughout the entire planning process he was extremely helpful and prompt and continuously checked in to see if we needed assistance in other parts of the planning process. Since the wedding, We’ve received countless compliments about how fun our wedding was. Scott did a great job hosting the event and keeping up with the timeline we had created together. During dinner, the music was perfect and The dancing portion was awesome. Nearly every one of our guests made it to the dance floor, and the music was diverse enough that everyone seemed to have a great time. The photo booth we booked through Sound Selection was used all night and the photo memory book and all of the digital copies of the photos are something we’ll treasure forever. Our wedding was absolutely AMAZING thanks to Sound Selection! Seriously, we can’t thank you enough!!

the planning stress free - he has the planning down to a science but always made time to speak or email us promptly whenever we needed anything! He also reached out to our bridal party to assist with preparing toasts and made many helpful suggestions based upon his experience that were well received by our guests. Scott was able to personalize our first dance song and took time to make it perfect. Most of all we are so thankful for the memories he helped us make.... there were many tearful moments as well as plenty of dancing throughout the entire evening! We loved many of the "tricks" he had in order to get our guests dancing. We highly recommend the uplighting, the Photo Booth, the personalized introductions and the guestbook. We have since left other weddings going: "Wow, we were so fortunate to have Scott for ours".

He did an excellent job editing songs, doing all of the announcements at the wedding, making sure everything went smoothly, and the uplighting that we got through him was incredible. We received so many compliments during and after the wedding about Scott and how great he was. ew right away that we found the right DJ. From beginning to end, Scott was super organized, informative and ahead of the curve on everything we threw his way. He stayed in contact leading up to the wedding and was extremely helpful during our planning sessions. We booked DJ and photo booth service for our reception as well as DJ service for our ceremony. We also had uplighting, dance lighting and an animated monogram. At first my husband was skeptical about adding lighting but let me tell you, the lighting completely transformed our venue and created an atmosphere that was absolutely beautiful, yet still fun and energetic. We are SO GLAD we chose to include lighting. Oh and also, the custom magnetic frames for the photo booth were a huge hit!! Since the wedding, we’ve visited several friends and family members and have noticed the magnets on their fridges! We highly recommend Sound Selection! Thank you Scott and your wonderful staff for a day that we will never forget!!

though I was stressed about a lot of other things, one thing I felt stress free of was the sounds, lighting and photo booth because I knew Scott had it under control. I would HIGHLY recommend Scott and his team, in fact my best man will be using him in 2021.

the big day, he e-mails you monthly with little wedding checklists to make sure you have what you need done, and he is filled with incredible ideas that you may not even think of. His ability to be quick on his feet during the reception is truly incredible. For instance, we weren't going to have the person who caught the garter put it on the person who caught the bouquet. But once our "botany bro" (flower girl) was in the right place at the right time and caught the bouquet, and his friend caught the garter, I ran up to Scott and told him the garter placement is ON! It was such a riot, and he never missed a beat. He is truly there for each individual and makes sure that everything is exactly how you want it to be. His transitions are flawless and his ability to keep everyone on the dance floor having fun is incredible. Not to mention, my husband and I are still living in our 2007 "scene kid" days and we love pop/punk music, and somehow he managed to find the most BANGER version of Wonderwall I have ever heard. The whole night was perfect, and so much fun thanks to him! I highly recommend Scott for any and all occasions!
