cians at our wedding, and they couldn't stop talking about how amazing Sound Society was! I went into the planning process skeptical of finding a good band and expecting we'd ultimately go with a DJ. Most of the videos I saw online of other groups were pretty mediocre, but SS's videos were a totally different class, and that made me intrigued. They invited us to a showcase in NYC to watch them do a 30 minute set, and they blew us out of the water. If you're on the fence, see if they have any showcases coming up. There's no substitute for watching a group live. And be prepared to Dance to the Music!

Every musician and singer was BEYOND incredible- from playing Motown to blink 182- their playlist was phenomenal. We’re still getting compliments about the band and we had everyone dancing straight through from 7 to 10. I cannot say enough positive things about them. They were perfect.

hour trio and the full band were both incredible. They're so good that sometimes you forget you're hearing a wedding band and not the original artist. They were extremely receptive to all of our requests and Hannah is an awesome leader to help you plan and feel confident in your day of music and schedule. Truly amazing!!! If you are interested in hearing them, they play showcases where you can catch them live before you make a decision - that's where we found them ourselves.

the dance floor packed all night, and they made the whole night a blast! We first saw Sound Society at a showcase in NYC and in the first 30 seconds of their first song, we knew we had to book them. Their performance is so crisp, the vocalists are amazing, and they keep the energy high throughout every moment of their performance. Working with Hannah and the team leading up to the wedding was super smooth as well. Hannah provided great recommendations, assured us they would handle our timelines once the reception started the day of the wedding, and even accommodated special requests. I only wish we had another big event coming up so we could book them again. Cannot recommend them highly enough!!

g and are just top notch performers. Prior to the wedding, Hannah was in constant touch with my wife. She helped alleviate all concerns, organized a song list, and stayed in constant contact. The day of the wedding, our venue dropped the ball, but the band were still incredibly helpful in keeping this organized and timely. They learned a song for the mother - son dance and were accommodating in every way. I couldn't recommend them more.

h. Hannah worked through all of the questions that we had and was so supportive. The process of sharing music we did or did not want to play was seamless. We even had the added curveball of wanting Greek music played and they were able to accommodate. Since the wedding, everyone has said how much they loved the band more than anything else. ng was incredible. We had an atypical Halloween wedding with some strange requests and Sound Society was the perfect fit. They accommodated our special requests, ended up wearing costumes for most of the night, and even performed a dance to "Thriller" in the middle of the dance floor. 10/10!

been a week since our wedding and everyone is still talking about the band. Throughout the whole night of our wedding, everyone was on the dance floor, jamming out. They covered any and everything we wanted, motown to disco to 2000s pop to Latin. Sound Society is a one of kind wedding band. They love to make the night personalized to your needs. They MCed our night and did the intros and everything was on point and flowed so smoothly. They played a special song live during our cake cut and brought the house down the whole night. What a way to ring in the new year and wouldn’t have wanted any other band. About 5 of our friends are engaged now and after our NYE wedding they were begging the band for business cards. This band is a 10/10, high energy & fun time!!

r upbeat and positive energy is infectious. Hannah's knowledge and experience on how to read a room and what music gets the crowd going was on point. We had about 170 friends and family attend our reception at the Central Park Boathouse (sniffle just before it closes). Sound Society Band's talent level is through the roof and you could not find a better wedding band or performer - even in NYC. All the singers and musicians were incredible from the ceremony strings, jazz music cocktail hour and full band during the reception. We highly recommend hiring the full horn section too. If there is anything you do first in planning your wedding after an engagement is book this band as soon as possible...they are that good!

en the band kept the party going all night until the venue kicked us out. Everyone was chanting ONE MORE SONG at the end because they were that good. The other factor that only we saw was how great they were to work with leading up to the wedding. Adam is a godsend in the wedding planning process. He was responsive to everything and worked with all our song requests. He also did all the coordinating with our planner on timing for everything. The Sound Society dashboard makes everything so easy - not many wedding planning details are easy so that was much appreciated. Finally, we made the last minute decision to book a photo booth through Sound Society and they were super accommodating. It was an awesome photo booth too with filter and gif options. One of the post wedding highlights was looking through those. I can't say it enough, book them. You won't be disappointed!!

I saw an add for the band on Instagram and reached out. Hannah got back to me right away. I was really interested in the band because of the reviews on their website about how everyone was dancing all night, and how they really focus on reading the energy of the crowd. Our wedding was in Cartagena, Colombia, and after a detailed discussion about my vision and my budget, Hannah came back with something completely reasonable and within budget, that accomplished exactly what we were looking for (I can't tell you how many bands and vendors I spent time with talking about budget and they come back with something almost double--what a waste of time). Sound Society had an amazing interactive platform for me to use to update the band with details, timing, preferences, etc. They also had an extensive playlist for me to choose from, plus were receptive to the list of songs we had been curating since we got engaged. The wedding weekend was perfect and Sound Society (and Hannah) were a MASSIVE part of that. They read the room, they kept the energy high, they absolutely KILLED IT. Hannah was a master MC. I literally cannot recommend them more. All people can talk about is how epic our band was--and to me, that was the most important part of our entire wedding. Every penny spent was worth it, I would have paid double (don't tell the band)! They really are professionals at what they do--they played a great set of motown to start the night and get our older guests into it, then after dinner revved it up with Top 40 and pop. Their range is incredible and their energy unmatchable. You will not regret booking this band, and if you have any doubts, go to one of their showcases and you'll be blown away.

we had to find a band that cultivated joy by playing a wide variety of music. With Sound Society we found just that! Hannah was incredible to work with, answering all of our questions (and we had a LOT of questions) along the way. I've literally never been to a wedding where the majority of guests get on the dance floor at the very start of the night, but this was certainly the case for us, and I have Sound Society to thank for that. Hannah coordinated with our other vendors, so we did not need to worry about a single thing the day of, and they were super flexible with any last minute changes. the ultimate best - she takes care of every detail and we are so happy that we saw them play on the Lower East Side back in 2019. They were also so accommodating with all items relating to Covid-19 and were by our sides the entire time.
