About this vendor
My name is DJ Preston with Sound Wave DJ Services and we’re a local DJ/Event company that has done hundreds of weddings all over East Tennessee!
Our mission is to keep all of your party-goers dancing and having a blast! What sets us apart is that we provide our years of DJ experience and many add-ons (such as dance lighting, wireless mics, DJ event insurance and more) at no extra cost, while our competitors charge you for it. We also have a “no cheesiness” policy. We don’t play cheesy music, we don’t use 70’s disco ball lighting and we don’t get on the microphone (unless it’s for your announcements)! We can work with you to custom tailor your event and make it exactly what you've dreamed of! We specialize in playing the right tunes at the right time.
It's your big day, and I would love to help you make it amazing! Get in touch for a free consultation or to check availability.

Preston was an amazing DJ. We had a small wedding and he did an awesome job. He was a great communicator during the pre wedding process and added in some great songs to the playlis...
t. Preston had specialized equipment to make the day perfect. We had a lot of compliments after the wedding on how great of a job he had done and our wedding wouldn’t have been nearly as perfect without him. I highly recommend Preston for your next event!
We were very satisfied with hiring Sound Wave, they communicated very well and kept our event on track. We would hire them again and recommend them to our friends that are looking ...
for a DJ for their own weddings.
Best DJ in Knoxville!
DJ Preston from Sound Wave was our DJ for our wedding and he did an amazing job! He got all of our songs in advance and actually played them when he was supp...
osed to! (unlike my sister's wedding in which her DJ played almost none of the songs she requested)
He showed up early, had a nice setup and was friendly throughout the entire process. We will use him for any future events as he also packed the dance floor all evening! Thanks again DJ Preston
Really happy we hired Sound Wave for our wedding, they made the process SUPER EASY and the guests were all talking about how good our DJ was, so it made us look good:) Thanks again...
Preston and his assistant, really nice and on top of everything. Best DJ you can get! :)
We hired Sound Wave for our big day last summer and they had good communication right from the first time we spoke. Preston was our DJ and he made it clear that he would be as invo...
lved or hands-off as we wanted. He only suggest things that we asked him about (after making it clear he would be happy to help with anything leading up our wedding) and it was perfect!
Preston made sure everyone had a blast at our wedding and we couldn't have been happier with it all! Thanks again Preston and Sound Wave! 5 stars all around, couldn't recommend any higher!
My wife mostly spoke to them leading up to our wedding, but she said they always responded quickly, and I can vouch that they did a awesome job during our wedding! The music was ex...
actly the type we asked for and everyone kept saying how good our DJ was, even after the wedding was over. I've been to a lot of weddings, so I know a good (and cheesy) DJ when I see one. These guys are the best around, no question about it.
We hired Sound Wave almost a year before our wedding after talking to Preston and being impressed with his friendly and no pressure attitude.

n a couple hours leading up to our wedding, and delivered a fun dance party on our wedding day! He also helped us make big decision leading up to it. His setup and dress clothes were all very professional and I recommend him to my friends that are getting married. Thanks Preston!!
Me and my husband Jacob like to price shop things and services before buying, so we compared every DJ out there but wanted quality above all else. Preston with Sound Wave DJ was th...
e best on it all!! His prices were not what I call cheap, but they are fair and more reasonable for what all he brought, including his knowledge which helped us plan things out for our big day better. Day-of, our friends had a great time!! He helped my dad slip in a secret song for me that really made my night even better too. Thanks Preston!!
DJ Preston and his assistant recently DJed our wedding, and I had to write a review which I rarely do because they rocked it!! Our venue was kind of an odd layout, but Preston was ...
able to keep our large families dancing through the last song (even tho we had to move tables to create a dance floor). I was a little nervous since my family is not big on dancing but once the booze were flowing and Preston kept dropping all the right music, they were out there too!! He was also great leading up to it and helped me plan some things out which I needed. Thanks Preston and your assistant (sorry didn't get her name:( )!!
DJ Preston provided all of the dj services to me and my husband Roberts wedding last December (I know I'm late on writing this) and he did a phenomenal job! I contacted other DJ's ...
before talking to Preston, and I was impressed with how friendly and straight forward he was with us. No sales pitch or any of that, just had a casual chat and he said to get back in touch if we felt he was the best choice. We did and are happy we chose him over the 6 other DJ's we interviewed!
To keep it short, he helped answer all of my questions leading up to the wedding day, and he rocked it at the actual wedding!! I'm not from the area originally, or I would recommend him to all of my friends getting married too! (they all live in Florida).
Anyway, choose dj Preston if you're getting married:)
I feel very fortunate to have found Preston and Tasha to handle DJing our wedding. I had our DJ cancel on us a couple months out and Preston had a cancellation that lined up, so we...
hired him as quickly as possible!
He was on top of everything from the start, and always responded right away!! On our big day, he showed up early and had everything ready when we got there. The music and song blending was PERFECT!! we all danced the night away. I liked how he played newer music but also older songs you can dance to. Tasha who assists him was amazing too, very friendly and helped keep everyting on track since I didn't have a coordinator. She helped line us up for the ceremony and made sure everyone had microphones for speeches, and she was so nice!!
Hire Sound Wave DJ if you can, they are the best!!!
