For this reason, owner Rick Pegram has developed a style that is spirited but restrained. This seasoned entertainer is committed to providing a lively celebration which you and your loved ones will not soon forget.
A longtime music lover, Rick was the friend who would show up to every party with his stack of records in tow. From a young age he was bringing his music with him and unknowingly honing his skills for a future career. This skillset was further sharpened in places like nightclubs and casinos until he found his way to weddings. In 1996 he opened his own business and he hasn’t looked back.
Sounds Great Entertainment’s owner is focused on staying on top of current trends and learning from other professionals in the industry. This quest for constant innovation is why Rick has remained successful for over three decades. His outgoing nature makes it easy for him to connect with you and your guests for a fun-filled evening of dancing.
Rick’s commitment to personalizing each and every event begins with a one-on-one consultation to discuss your music tastes and preferences. I truly love what I do. I still get excited with every event that I do. There is nothing that makes me more happy than seeing newly wedded couples and their guests have a great time. I got started by being the person who would "play the records" at any party that me and my friends would attend. From there I started doing clubs which lead me to where I am now. I probably average about 40+ weddings a year. I like to think what makes me unique is that I don't make it about me, I'm here for "you"

Rick was extremely thorough and made sure to ask questions about the requests we had made ahead of time so he could execute everything exactly how we envisioned it. His attention to detail really stood out and helped everything run smoothly.
You can tell Rick genuinely loves what he does. One detail that really meant a lot to us was that he even asked what our wedding colors were so he could match his vest to them—such a thoughtful touch!
He also provided the music for our ceremony and followed our instructions perfectly. From start to finish, everything went exactly as planned thanks to him.

Rick is also a very nice guy, great to work with, and quick to respond if you have any questions. Rick made everything flow smooth for us and our guests. He keeps things moving and exciting. During planning, he was flexible and prompt with times for phone calls/emails and asked all the right questions. He catered to every need/request, and he made suggestions when we needed them. My guests loved him as our DJ and still talk about how great he was. We also asked for room up-lighting from Rick- TOTALLY WORTH IT! He transformed the room with beautiful lights in the colors of our choice. The lights really made our wedding reception fun and charming! He made sure to communicate with us about every single detail from the music to the

ncements. He went over pronunciations of names to make sure he would pronounce the
names correctly, which he did.
When it came to dancing time, Rick did a great job keeping everyone up and dancing by playing
a mix of our requests along with him mixing in songs he knew would work. If you are looking for

al, so humble and knowledgeable on all our music style choices, he curated a set list based on our preferences and kept all the songs clean for our wedding guests to enjoy for families with kids! We had a personalized song for our wedding entrance and he was prepared for anything when it came to not having electrical access or our wedding party missing their cues. If Rick has an opening then book him, you will be so glad you did!

Rick went above and beyond to help our wedding go off perfectly. He arrived very early to set up and even helped cue our live violinist when to play the correct songs for the cerem...
ony processional. He spoke with us multiple times before the event to ensure he had all the details he needed and brought everything printed out the day of to confirm it was correct. We also ordered floor up lighting from him and he worked very hard to get the exact color match we wanted to ensure the ambience for the event was right. During the reception, he brought great energy to get everyone excited for our first dance and helped to direct the buffet by table number announcements so that it didn’t get too crowded. He even took some videos of our chair horah and first dance, which was so helpful since we didn’t have a videographer! He followed my song requests and do not plays perfectly and made it so that we got to dance and celebrate to all of our favorite songs. Even when they were songs he did not recognize or even a few in a different language, he was fantastic at accommodating our requests. Thank you so much Rick, you were fantastic! I can not recommend him enough!!

He was so reliable and you can tell he has been doing this for years! We would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ. You will be so happy that you did!
