Fred has everyone out on the dance floor with the best wedding music and knew the right songs to keep everyone engaged. The photo booth was a huge hit — young and old were standing in line! Words can't describe how amazing Fred and his team are. We booked Fred immediately upon meeting him 1.5 years pre pandemic and Fred was amazing throughout the planning process, postponement, and final day of in 2021. I gave Fred a list of the music I wanted to hear and he ensured that all of our songs were played. Fred makes the planning process enjoyable, and always has a positive attitude. I knew that no matter what, Fred had our back from a music perspective. Along with Fred we also worked Denise, one of his wedding coordinators. Denise was by far one of the stars of the day. She walked through all of my details with me two weeks prior to the wedding, orchestrated our rehearsal, and paid attention to every detail on the day of. I can't thank Denise enough for keeping me calm and ensuring that everything I needed done was perfected. Don't think twice about hiring Fred and his team. You will not regret it!

Fred was amazing. He put a lot of time and effort into putting the whole thing together. We made a list of songs that were all played and he took requests from our guests as well. Very personable and the BEST photobooth I've ever seen!

Soundwave DJ’s was a great DJ for our wedding reception. Fred, the owner and DJ, did a great job with music, up-lighting, set-up and emceeing our reception. He was easy to work with, responsible and communicated well with us throughout the process of preparation for the wedding. Unfortunately before the reception began, my wife suffered a migraine that caused us to delay the start of the introductions, but Fred made sure that everything continued to go smoothly and was great at communicating with the wedding party, our family and the vendors to keep everyone on the same page. He also was incredibly patient and understanding with our venue when there was an issue with insurance and policies that came up a month prior to our wedding date, but he did not let that affect our interactions. Through Soundwave, we also contracted a Day of Coordinator, named Denise, who was incredibly valuable to the venue staff, the other vendors and to us the day of the wedding. Denise kept the day running to schedule and fielded all coordination, logistics, and last minute issues without needing us. Fred went above and beyond both before the wedding and the day of in order to keep everything running smoothly. Overall, we had a phenomenal experience with Soundwave DJ’s and highly recommend them

Hiring Soundwave DJs proved to be one of the best decisions we made during our wedding process and well worth the investment. When we first planned our wedding budget we didn’t give much emphasis to the DJ and even considered just having someone babysit a premade playlist. A friend convinced us to look into a few professional DJs and we came across Fred, owner of Soundwave DJs. Fred was very easy to talk to and helped explain the various responsibilities of the DJ, including the importance of communicating with all vendors throughout our wedding day so everyone was in sync. Imagine announcing the first dance just when the photographer has to change batteries, this is why communication is key and Fred did a wonderful job staying on top of things. There were a lot more aspects to being a DJ/MC than we ever thought possible, and Fred excelled at each one. Since we live 6hrs (by plane) away from our wedding location, we had several long conversations with Fred over the phone which gave us a lot to think about. Then during a visit to Pennsylvania several months prior to our wedding we met with Fred at the Manor. During this visit we discussed all our preferences with Fred while he continued to provide his expert opinion where needed, he demonstrated how he’d use his software to loop some of the music we wanted for the ceremony, how and when the music will fade in/out, we practiced various entrances to determine how long the music should be, he demonstrated uplighting for us, and at the end of it all we had a great time simply chatting with him as a friend and enjoying some time with his dog. Fred demonstrated a great level of commitment to our wedding, even attending our rehearsal the day prior. This was a life saver as he is a natural leader and helped collect everyone to get the rehearsal started. As we practiced many of us realized that we weren’t sure how certain aspects should be done, in particular the ceremony entrances/exits and the reception entrances, but Fred was able to provide suggestions and direct us. On our wedding day Fred showed up with his crew and did an outstanding job. If he saw the need to make small adjustments he’d quickly run them by us and we agreed with each of his suggestions. He orchestrated the day perfectly and we couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. We hope to have an opportunity to work with Fred again.

SoundWave DJs was wonderful to work with for our wedding. Both Fred and Kyler worked closely with my husband and I as we were planning our wedding. They were very responsive and prompt when communicating. I felt like I could reach out at any time with questions or concerns. Kyler DJd our wedding and did a fantastic job. He was flexible and kept us in the loop throughout the evening. He kept guests dancing until the last song! Soundwave DJs helped make our wedding day the BEST day! Thank you!

They were absolutely great to work with! We were planning our wedding long distance Fred was so helpful in determining the best services for our timeframes and venue. We were not planning on having a photobooth at our wedding, but after hearing about the photobooth setup they provide, we were convinced and it was a great addition to our wedding. We absolutely loved having Kyler as our DJ/MC for the wedding. He was super flexible and helpful in planning, working through different timezones and using Facetime since we couldn't meet in person. He was also great day-of and helped through some last minute changes to make everything run smoothly and kept the night so fun. I am so grateful we found Soundwave for our wedding and would highly recommend them!

Soundwave DJ's were great! Kyler was the DJ and MC, and he did such professional and fun work! Excellent. Fred the owner, and Kyler were both so accommodating and worked with us to make the kind of music playlist we wanted for our venue. The professional up-lighting that they provided added a lot to the look of our reception. They indeed live up to their promise of making your event what you want it to be! Very reasonable pricing as well. Go with these DJ's.

I chose to go with Soundwave DJ's based on a personal reference and I was not disappointed. I had high expectations as their reviews were fantastic, but they exceeded every single one. Kyler was my DJ who was extremely friendly and great communicator. He told me what he needed from me, and made my job very easy. Additionally, we hired Denise to act as a day-of-coordinator. She helped decorate, and was getting stuff done the entire day. Honestly, she was worth her weight in gold. At one point during a photo session she appeared out of nowhere with cold water which was a god send on such a hot day. We also made use of their state-of-the-art photo booth which was fantastic. Now we have tons of awesome pictures from the wedding which the guests also got a copy of. The up-lighting is great as well, and I highly recommend it to help set the mood. The owner, Fred, although not DJing our event was very hands on throughout the process. You can tell he puts a lot of pride and effort into maintaining the quality of his business, and it shows. Overall it was a wonderful day and Soundwave did a great job. One final point. What good is a DJ if no one dances? We didn't have that issue. People were dancing all night from the kids to the elderly. Kyler knew how to read the crowd and kept everyone moving all night.

Les was awesome! We were so picky about our choice of DJ as we have experienced so many tacky, terrible DJ’s before, we heard many good recommendations about soundwave from reviews and other vendors and I’m so glad we chose them. As soon as we met with Les he got our vision completely, he understood we wanted a party vibe with songs that would get everyone up dancing. We used them for our ceremony too and the timing of his music throughout the ceremony and reception was impeccable. He knew what to play to get everyone up and going and allowed us to give a few song choices that we wanted played throughout the night. All the equipment used was so discreet and I didn’t notice anything in the way in ceremony or reception and the lighting used was amazing. They were so easy to work with and Les was one of the nicest and funniest people we met during the wedding planning process. Thank you so much! We can not recommend them enough.

Fred was very professional and overall great to work with. Our wedding was on 10.20.18 and literally was flawless. Our guests danced all night and had a great time. Fred did a wonderful job helping the coordination of everything from ceremony, to cocktail hour to reception. We also used the other services SoundWave had to offer- the photo booth and Day of Event coordinator. Our guests had a blast leaving 30 sec videos at the photo booth along with their pictures. The Event Coordinator was so helpful and valuable for that day since did not have a wedding planner. So affordable, too! Highly highly recommend SoundWave DJ’s :)

Fred was on the recommended list from our venue! He was easy to talk to and very understanding. He listened to what we said and was very negotiable at pricing to make sure we had all we wanted for our day! He made sure all our favorites were played and none of our “no’s” were. We called Soundwave DJs because it was on our vendor recommended list. From the first phone call, we realized Fred would be our DJ and he would do an amazing job. He has years of experience and it definitely shows. He is professional and thorough. He worked with us to ensure we had everything we wanted to include and nothing we didn’t. Our entire experience was customized to our preferences. We had a few small things during the reception that were a surprise (like the groom’s cake) and Fred made sure the timing and coordination flowed smoothly. Fred was pleasant and knowledgeable to work with. He was able to obtain every obscure song we wanted to play and organized speakers during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Fred and his team was a great value; we highly recommend his services of DJ, uplighting, photo booth, and also day-of-wedding coordinator. His entire team eased my anxiety and were so helpful. They were willing to do any small or large task I asked and made my big day highly enjoyable and stress-free!

Soundwave is absolutely incredible! Fred & his team are so professional and accommodating, and made sure every detail was perfect. The music was perfect and our guests are still saying how much fun they had dancing. The lighting was simply beautiful and added to the ambiance of the evening. Everyone loved it and we have watched the videos and slideshows almost every night since we got home. Denise was our Booth attendant and she was so pleasant and helpful to our guests. Erin was our Photographer and did such a great job capturing all the special moments and created an album which we can't put down. We especially loved that the Soundwave team was so familiar with the Hotel and understand why they are so highly recommended by every venue we visited. Soundwave created a wonderful experience we will never forget and we will definitely make sure they are our first call next time we have any event. Fred is amazing; he was so good at reading the crowd, playing music people wanted to listen to, giving insight, using his lighting, and being the general MC. He really cares about making your day special and takes the extra effort to make it everything you could hope for. He drove 2 hours (to Virginia) to visit our venue on his own time to make sure everything was squared away for his equipment, lighting, and photo booth. His prices are very reasonable and honestly you cannot go wrong by using his services!

Fred is awesome! He was such a help throughout the entire process and he made it his personal job to make sure our day went smoothly. Our guests didn't want to leave the dance floor at the end of the night! He is so easy to work with and by the end of the wedding planning process we felt like we gained a new friend. If you are looking for a DJ, look no further! Fred and his staff are truly the best in the business. Fred's business is held at his house, so if you're local you'll have a few meetings there. My husband and I really liked that because it felt more personal and relaxed. Not only did Fred provide music that kept our guests dancing all night, he also ensured all of the events at the reception ran smoothly; this allowed me and husband to enjoy the night without worry! I also want to recommend Fred's uplighting. It is BREATHTAKING! We didn't want uplighting originally, but when Fred showed up how it can transform the space we were sold. He even drove to our venue (which was over an hour for him) to show us the uplighting in the actual space. Go with Soundwave DJ's - you won't be disappointed!

Fred provided music for our daughter's ceremony and reception. We couldn't have been more pleased! He met with us several times and, despite the bride and groom's request for some unusual songs, he got everything perfect. The photo booth added to the fun of the evening. We paid an extra $1000 for the photo booth and never received the pictures.

Fred and his staff are amazing! Everything from the start of the ceremony to the last song was perfect! Very professional and worked great with the guests. We loved our DJ, Randy, he was on point with everything. Would highly recommend them.

Fred from Soundwave DJ’s is the best in the business! I was blown away by the service we were provided by Fred and his team. He really knew how to read a crowd and the songs he played were on point which had our guests laughing and dancing throughout the night. The photo booth his company provided was all the rage amongst our guests and provided us with great memories to cherish! Not to mention that fact that he was so well organized and really helped in making our day go as smoothly as possible. There is no better feeling for a bride then knowing that you can relax because you have someone taking care of things for you. Fred was there for us at every step of this journey and we can’t thank him and his team enough for helping make our day the blast that it was.

We made an extra effort to be specific about what songs we wanted for our ceremony, and despite telling the DJ exactly what songs we wanted played, he still played the wrong song for when the bridesmaids walked down the aisle. Even worse in my opinion was that during the reception he was outside on his phone for quite a while instead of being present at the booth. When we requested specific songs played at the cocktail hour that were not his usuals, he requested that we download them ourselves and make a mixed CD to give to him to play, which felt to us like that was not our responsibility. in general he was definitively unprofessional. We originally had posted a longer review but he has threatened a law suit, so we will leave it at that.

Not only did Fred provide his exceptional DJ service, he also coordinated our ceremony for us. We never needed to hire a wedding coordinator because Fred was willing to cue and guide things throughout the day. He was very professional and went above and beyond his role as a DJ.

It was a bit of an older crowd at our wedding so it was a little hard to get people on the dancefloor, the DJ was great at playing requests and the timing of our dances was great

Kyler did a such a great job during our ceremony and reception. He kept things moving at the reception and announced the various activities very clearly and was in tune with the vendors. He also had a great taste in music that our guests loved. He was down to Earth and was very personable. Fred did a fantastic job meeting with us and accommodating to our busy schedule. He made planning super easy and kept things light during our meetings with his humor. Great job by both gentlemen and would recommend to anyone looking for a DJ that you and your guests will remember!

I used Soundwave DJs for my wedding and was lucky enough to have Fred Behney as our DJ. He was awesome to work with and a lot of fun. I didn't have a lot of guests that were dancers at our wedding, so we decided to play a variety of fun songs from all generations instead of the typical club music. Our guests were really happy with the music selection. Fred is a professional who really does his homework. He made the reception fun and run smoothly. We also chose Soundwave DJs photobooth as an add-on and it was a HUGE success. Everyone loved the photobooth and raved about it.

I was an out of town bride and the ease of working with Fred was awesome! There was never a problem working with out situation and he also drove out the venue to see if when I was up in the area for 2 days! The photobooth is awesome and our guests loved it!! Top Notch.

Fred's experience was helpful for our wedding celebration. He played every song we wanted to play. He kept us informed with the events of the night. He is very well spoken and everyone could understand what he was saying. He knew when to kick it up a notch when people weren't always on the dance floor. We wish he could have been there during the rehearsal of the ceremony because the only issue we had was that the microphone was not placed in the best spot and our guests could not hear our vows. He did have another wedding the night before so we can't really hold that against him. He gave us a great package that included up-lighting. It really helped make the other colors in the room pop in our photos.

My husband and I love a large variety of music, so when looking for a DJ we wanted to find someone that would understand what we were looking for. When I first met with Fred, I was with him for two hours talking about music and the vibe we were feeling for our wedding. He was amazing! He knew exactly what we were looking for and had many suggestions to help us. He is very down to earth and easy to chat with. He was in constant contact with me over the duration of planning, and when the time came he walked me through everything he planned to do. He did an excellent job! Everyone complimented on our great music variety. He had slow, sentimental moments as well as upbeat, fun moments. He knew exactly what song to play at the right time. You can tell he loves what he does, and he is great at doing it! He still texted me afterwards to thank me for letting him in on my special day. He is a sweetheart, and I plan to recommend him to every bride I know :)

Fred was all I could have asked for in a DJ. I was very pleased with not only his day of expertise, but also all of his help leading up to our wedding. It was easy to find time to meet because Fred was very accommodating. And meeting with him was always a pleasure. My now husband and I knew we wanted a top notch DJ, and not one we had never met that was provided by an agency or large DJ company. You just never know what you’re going to get. So we did our research and found Fred Behney and Soundwave DJ’s. The first time we met with him we were sold. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing, and we felt we could trust him to emcee not only the reception but our ceremony as well. He was professional, polite, amicable and just totally AWESOME. He met with us several times to go over everything from music, to meeting us at the venue. All I had to do was go over the flow of the day with him and he had it down. The day of the wedding was flawless and seamless. Everything flowed beautifully and perfectly. It started on time, the music wasn’t too loud or too soft, it was queued just right and all the kinds of songs we did or did not want were respected. He was so good in fact, he blended seamlessly into the background all while making sure we were center stage.
