Owner Les Kopasz has been working as a DJ since he was 20 years old and has experience working in clubs and as a radio DJ. Once the DJ arrived to the wedding, his arrogance of ongoing statements of the amount of weddings he had done rang throughout the venue throughout his entire setup. Then, for anyone in earshot he proclaimed how he has never done an event here, but typically in high end venues closer to Disney (and proceeded to list them out), but mine was on a Thursday so I was able to book them (according to him). While he was on his self proclamation of his usual level of events, he made sure any guests in listening distance were aware I picked the bare minimum package.
Yes, I did pick the bare minimum package on a Thursday, at a smaller venue. But to speak down on this to and around my guest, was heart breaking.

Let me start with WOW! I’m very upset over this review, and we are taking this very seriously. Let me share the following....

on to say the Bride and Groom also stated before dinner that Soundwave was by far the best vendor they worked with. After that I did not speak to anyone (except the photographer) and put on a fun dance party! Also, there were no issues at all during the night. Additionally, the bride’s mom could not believe I even fooled her when it came to the surprise ceremony officiant and was very thankful for the services we provided.
Let me explain the concerns written in the review and clarify ....
First regarding the timeline and payments, the first draft of the timeline went out on March 2, the wedding took place on March 23. Nothing was ever late or delayed. We typically like to get final payment AFTER the agenda is reviewed to ensure we have everything correct. Too many times a client adds things (Photobooth or an additional mic for the ceremony, etc..) so it just makes it easier to receive final payment when all changes are done, and a timeline is approved by our client. Sorry this upset you.
Yes, we did travel outside our normal area and I was unfamiliar with the facility. However we did extensive research on line viewing the venue to ensure success (fyi the travel time for me was about 1.5 hrs to the venue)
As for the wedding planner, we were told she was the Bride's Aunt Barbara helping on the day of. Let me mention that the Aunt / wedding planner never contacted us during the planning process. Typically, professional wedding planners send us a timeline 1-2 weeks prior; however, knowing she was the Aunt, we did not expect communication prior and assumed she was a point person and set up assistant.
As soon as I arrive, the Aunt was at my truck while I was unloading stating that there were changes I needed to make for the surprise wedding ceremony officiant. Mind you I am unloading equipment in a parking lot as she is speaking to me. I mentioned that I did not receive a timeline from her (as all planners give prior to a wedding) and last-minute changes that she requested would cause the ceremony to not go as planned by the newlyweds. She ended up agreeing and I came up with a modified plan. Keep in mind, we discussed the surprise ceremony aspect in great detail via email and phone with the bride directly...so the B&G and I were all on the same page and knew exactly what we were doing and how.
I could see she the Aunt was very stressed and worried. This is where I stated to her, and I quote… “Don’t worry I do over 100 weddings a year from Bella Collina to the Four seasons and everywhere in-between. This is a very nice and easy wedding without crazy upgrades, let’s please work together and make it a success." Me saying this was only meant to reassure her that I had everything under control, and she could trust me. After reading this review, it's evident to me that this statement must have been relayed to the bride in a very different context. The only one that heard our conversation (to the best of my knowledge) was her aunt because it was in the parking lot. The only other person I spoke with was the photographer about logistics and timing to ensure the success of the wedding. I have worked with this photographer many times before. And we work well together.
Also, the bride’s Aunt asked me to call out tables on the microphone for dinner. I refused and stated, “This is a very nice wedding, not a fire hall wedding and that she or the caterer should table tap because it's much more professional, AND it was my opportunity to sit down and eat and take a break (table tapping is where you go up to each table and politely invite them to the buffet). The aunt stated she would do it but never did!!! So I ended up table tapping and I NEVER got the chance to eat dinner at all.
In closing, The VERY custom ceremony was perfect. The aunt left me alone to do my job once dinner started and there was not one issue with music, equipment and everything was on-time or ahead of schedule (as per my timeline). It was a very nice celebration.
I wish the bride would have called me with their concerns because now I’m afraid it’s going to cause a family issue with her Aunt.

She provided me with a music profile to complete and this allowed her to match me with the PERFECT DJ, DJ Dennis!!!!!!!!!!!!! The uplighting and pin lights truly created the warm vibe I wanted for the reception. DJ Dennis did his thing!!!!! Like, I am trying to figure out how to create another event in the Orlando area so he can come back. DJ Dennis was our MC and our DJ!! He was perfect!! And we had everyone from 2 year olds, to mamas with babies in a carrier, to 70 year olds boogying all night long! I even had someone ask me for the playlist we used, but it was ALL Les with the exception of some “must plays” that he requested from us and he ensured he played that evening. He knows how to read the crowd and keep the music choices based on that-something I never knew was such an art! We notified them 3.5 months before our scheduled wedding but their contract requires that any changes within 6 months require you to pay the FULL contracted amount. We were hoping to simply reschedule with them but they insisted we not only forfeit our deposit but also pay the additional $500.
We expected to lose the deposit, but the fact that they required we pay the full amount and gave unnecessary attitude about us rescheduling due to COVID when other couples weren't left us regretting our decision to book them.
