making sure that we honor our couple's wishes and their vision for their special day. 99.9 percent of the time everything always goes perfectly. DJ Shane was the DJ for this wedding. After consulting with Shane he had mentioned that dancing was supposed to begin around 7:45 pm but dinner ran a little longer than expected and he didn't open the dance floor until about 8:05 pm. They were doing a Private Last Dance prior to their sparkler send off so the last song of the night for everyone was scheduled to be at 9:25 pm and the private last dance around 9:30 pm. With this being said this left one hour and 15 minutes for dancing time. Our Must Play list is 15 songs which is approximately one hour of music if you figure the average song is about 4 minutes in length. They also had a Play If Possible list of about 20 songs. After reviewing Shane's playlist history on his laptop it was determined that he played all but one song (which had a notation of "please play when my husband isn't in the room". I think Shane was waiting for the right moment to try to work this song in when he wasn't in the room. He also played a handful of songs for the Play If Possible category but wasn't able to fit all of the songs in in the allotted time for dancing. The couple was also open to guest requests as well and Shane did mention that he did receive a few guest requests that he also tried to work in. we always download all of our songs that are on the couples playlists ahead of time as MP3's. We never rely on wi-fi or network signals because a lot of venues are in rural settings and the signal can me either spotty or non existent. Shane mentioned that he was trying to play a song that wasn't in his library from wi-fi and it "stuttered" or paused while he was playing it. We want to be accommodating but we never want to rely on wi-fi for music because this can happen if it's not a strong signal. Shane had approximately 85 minutes of dancing time which on average is about 18-19 songs that can be played in the allotted time he had for dancing. Doing "quick mixes" and playing about 2 minutes of each song (the hook and chorus) he probably could have gotten in all of their Play If Possible songs on their list. As the business owner that's been in the wedding business a long time I completely understand how much time, money and effort goes into planning your wedding. My staff and In always strive to be accommodating and always try to make sure that we get in as many requests as possible on our couple's playlists in the time that we are given for dancing. The Must Play list is always given first priority and then we pull from the Play If Possible category if time permits. Sometimes things can take a little longer than anticipated which is sometimes out of our hands but we are always focused on creating the celebration that our couples envision for their special day. This couple did provide a gratuity for DJ Shane at the end of the evening. I personally reached out to them to discuss and listen to their concerns. I did apologize and we will use their feedback constructively going forward to improve our services and our customer experience.

ad to hear that Tony was very flexible and accommodating. Just a note to let everyone know and clarify that DJ Tony is very skilled at "reading the room" and getting everyone on the dance floor. However, due to their Christian faith it was a dry wedding and they did not want or have dancing at their wedding. Tony was the emcee and provided the sound track for their special day and abided by their wishes and vision for their wedding.
