Located in the heart of Torrance’s South Bay, South End is a boutique wedding venue where garden romance meets timeless ballroom elegance.
As a private venue, we intentionally host a limited number of weddings each year so every celebration receives thoughtful attention and seamless coordination from start to finish.
Exchange vows beneath the palms in our Garden Gazebo, surrounded by lush greenery and the gentle sound of the water wall. From there, guests transition into cocktail hour before celebrating in our chandelier-lit South End Ballroom, allowing the entire wedding day to flow naturally within one elegant setting.
The ballroom accommodates up to 240 guests and features trilevel sculpted ceilings, customizable uplighting, crown molding, and delicate glass chandeliers that create a warm and inviting atmosphere for dinner and dancing.
Wedding celebrations at South End begin with a $5,000 ballroom booking fee, with full-service catering packages at $64 per guest. Couples may also add a Garden Gazebo ceremony for $1,800, which includes an additional hour added to the event timeline.

r first time experiencing it since it is primarily a private gym/club. You wouldn't know that; otherwise, it is a hidden gem of a venue space.
The venue has a large outdoor garden area with a gazebo for the ceremony, a lobby area with a side bar for the cocktail hour area, and a banquet room that is spacious but also felt intimate at the same time for our 170+ guests. The banquet room also has its own much larger bar area that never felt crowded because of how spacious it is. There is a ton of available free parking for your guests, but it can be confusing as the entrance sign directs guests to small lot to the right while the club and the majority of the parking is to the left. If you have your ceremony in the garden, be aware that it is located directly next to a local airport so there may be planes taking off and landing during your vows.
The venue works with Elegant Event Decoration and Catering and our experience with them was also great (separate review for them). Other than a backdrop behind the sweetheart table to cover an oddly placed doorway, we didn't need many decoration upgrades to the already great looking banquet room. While for the ceremony area, we didn't add any decorations at all because the space itself is already beautiful.
The banquet director Diana was easy to work with and quick to respond. Due to the pandemic we had to reschedule a couple of times. There was no issue each time we had to postpone or to check in to confirm what the current venue event policies were, while understanding that everyone was at the mercy of the pandemic and the continuously changing local guidelines. Compared to other venues we were looking into in the South Bay region, the rates absolutely blew the rest of them away and worked incredibly well within our budget. Also as part of hosting an open bar, Diana threw in the champagne toast and coffee station as complementary parts to our package. We were also able to rent out chiavari chairs through them at an amazing rate. We would host an event here again.

She was right there whenever I needed her and even gave me her personal number so I could call or text her whenever I had any questions. The overall price for the venue was much more reasonable than other venues. I would highly recommend this venue!
