This venue from beginning to end was incredible to work with. Patti was so understanding of our wants and needs and worked with us to make our day amazing. Even when things didn’t go quite right, she was very apologetic and helpful in fixing it right away, so much so that I can say that our day ran perfectly smooth. The woman in charge of catering was so on top of it that my new husband and I had drinks in our hands almost all night without almost ever having to go to the bar. Highly, highly recommend!

I can’t speak highly enough about South Haven creations. The owner, Patti, was amazing, she really made sure our day was special and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She treated us like we were her own family. On top of that, her staff treated us like royalty and one of them even offered one of my bridesmaids her jacket when it started getting chilly at night. The venue was also just perfect to begin with, it has something for everyone. Whether you love to dance or you want some quiet time or some time outside it’s perfect and the ceremony site was gorgeous. Finally, the review wouldn’t be complete without mentioning THE FOOD!!!!! We went with the Fall in Michigan buffet, it was AMAZING. Everyone was in awe, because, let’s be honest, wedding food isn’t always great, but this was so so so good. The pot roast was melt in your mouth tender and the pumpkin tortellini was delicious and unique. My personal favorite was the stuffed mushrooms (Patti, if you’re reading this, we would love if you sent us that recipe <333)! It was also really nice to be able to have the venue, food, and bar all through one vendor. Highly, highly, highly recommend South Haven Creations for whatever your event maybe!

You're going to love our space if…. you’re looking for a unique venue close to Lake Michigan (0.5 mi) that will provide the best experience for you and up to 209 of your closest family and friends. One that allows for multiple gathering spaces with opportunities to dance the night away, have an intimate chat by the indoor or outdoor fireplace, roast some marshmallows, play some yard games, or sit on the 20x40 ft. deck with a cocktail in hand totally engrossed in watching everyone have the time of their lives.
We have indoor and outdoor options for your ceremony as well as cocktail hour. We have a wooded ceremony site to say "I do" surrounded by trees and nature, a front lawn option in front of the stone fireplace, or indoors in the reception space.
Our venue is warm and cozy with a family home feel to gather with those you love and celebrate your new journey together. Our reception space gives you a clean white pallet with plenty of natural lighting. Bright and airy, moody and dark, or somewhere in between, our neutral space will allow you to decide whatever color or design you desire for your dream wedding.
We provide catering, bar services, linens, napkins, china, tables, chairs, soft seating, games, and so much more. Full catering and bar services are provided through our parent company, Catered Creations Inc. Have you ever gone to an event and walked away thinking, ‘that was perfect', but can’t really put your finger on why? It’s probably because your host paid attention to even the smallest of details. Since we basically grew up in the catering world, our family has worked with over 100 venues and event spaces over the past 36+ years. We have learned what works and what doesn’t. We’re experts at what we do—and you’ll sense our passion and expertise every second of your special day.
When you work with us, you’ll be treated as an extension of our family. And because we value relationships above all else, we have intentionally crafted every detail of our venue to help you make meaningful memories and enjoy your people.
FYI...we are located in a charming little beach town in South Haven, Michigan just 0.5 miles from the nearest public beach on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan. Perfect for those dreamy beach photos and the perfect location for a destination vacation for your guests.

ermitting. The area for the outdoor ceremony was absolutely beautiful, you wouldn’t need to decorate if you did not want to. The indoor space was spacious and had a separate area for the bar and sitting areas away from the main room and DJ/dance floor. There is another outdoor space with a nice deck and grassy area where the kids ran around to play, a fireplace the staff kept going, and corn hole games. We had so many compliments from guests that it was one of the most fun and laid back weddings they’ve went to. We loved the different options and areas for our guests to spend their time and enjoy the night. Patti and her team were so professional, kind, and attentive leading up to the wedding and on the big day! Patti was great to communicate with and really made sure things ran smoothly the big day. I had no stress and was able to fully enjoy our day.

lp, but it was clear they would've gone the extra mile for us. For that, 5 stars. However, leading up to the day was challenging at times. We often had to ask about how to pay the installments after the deadline came and went, some things were promised by one person and then we were later told we "must've misunderstood" or that it's actually not possible, and when I asked we were told that venue staff would not help us at all on the day (thankfully, that wasn't the case, but that's why we were so prepared). All in all I'd recommend SHC, it just is sometimes obvious that they are a newer venue, and if something is really important, have it added to your contract.

tion in one place. We also wanted somewhere where we didn't have to bring in catering, alcohol, etc. We wanted easy and everything we wanted, South Haven Creations had.
Being out of state, they met with us on a Sunday months before the wedding since we couldn't get there during the week. They let us tell them what our vision was and worked with us. They were attentive to what we wanted and made sure we got it.
The day of the wedding went so smooth thanks to them. Everything was just perfect. We did stations for our food and our guests are still talking about how great the food was. The guests loved the patio and enjoyed hanging out there during the reception.
I would recommend to anyone to have their special day at South Haven Creations. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

nfirmation to book it. We knew from the moment we pulled in the parking lot how much we loved the space and what absolutely sealed the deal for us was our meeting with Patti.
When you book at SHC, you will get top notch client care. Any questions you may have are answered in a thorough, quick, and thoughtful manner. Patti and her team have been in the biz for many years now, and you can absolutely see it. Wedding planning is stressful, but SHC knows how to make it as smooth as possible for you. We couldn’t imagine our experience with any other team.
Our big day finally rolled around and I walked into the venue to find Patti with her earpiece in place. When that earpiece comes out, Patti is boss! She handled the entire day like the expert she is, and several people (especially family) told me later how impressed they were. On top of that, the space was absolutely gorgeous. When I get more pics from our photographer they will be uploaded. I adored how beautiful the place was on our day.
Next - THE FOOD! I had multiple guests tell me that it’s the best food they ever had at a wedding. We went with the fall buffet menu (think pumpkin tortellini and warm corn bread with honey butter greatness). It’s a fact that most brides/grooms have to be force fed on their big day because they are so busy. That was absolutely NOT the case for us. The food was so dang good that we did not want to leave our plates that the team graciously prepared for us before we even got to our tables. 150/10 review for the food,10 stars all day every day.
At the end of the long night (around 11:15pm) when ppl were finally cleaning and ready to walk out the door, I saw Patti chatting with my aunt, whose daughter is getting married next year in Texas. It was a long day, and Patti was sharing all of her tips and tricks for how to have a great wedding. SHC isn’t hosting the wedding obviously bc it’s in Texas, but her time and thoughtfulness in that moment when she didn’t have to give it is just another testament about how their client care is the best.
We met with Patti the day after our wedding as she set some extra food aside for us in boxes for us to enjoy later. She even made a box for grandpa with a nice note on top, along with a big bag of dog treats for our pup. After a nice good chat and reminiscing about our day, we finally left. Our last sentiment before leaving South Haven for the weekend was how much we will miss Patti, the team, the venue, and our entire experience. We will be back to visit If you want to have an amazing top notch wedding experience, look no further - you just found it at South Haven Creations.

and reception in the same location, even if it rained (which it thankfully didn't). Patti, the owner, was great to work with. She has years and years of catering experience and created a truly beautiful wedding venue with every detail in the space thought out. We had no issues trusting Patti and valued her insight into some difficult decisions. We were out of state and unfortunately couldn't attend any of the tastings for food, but the food was delicious and our guests loved it. We also had several guests traveling from out of state who stayed in South Haven for a couple days prior and the cute lake town had a lot to offer. We have no regrets having our wedding at South Haven Creations :)
