Working with Mimi and her team was an absolute pleasure—they were attentive, accommodating, and truly dedicated to making sure our experience was everything we had hoped for. The venue itself is a paradise for plant lovers, with lush tropical greenery that gives a beautiful, natural ambiance. If you’re looking for a tropical, garden-like setting with a unique twist and want to steer away from the sandy beach vibe, South Maui Gardens is the perfect choice. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to have our wedding here!

A lot of couples come to Maui to get married for her sandy beaches, but personally being among the palm trees, the beautiful flora and fauna the island provides gives you that tropical feeling you're looking for. A short 2 minute walk away from Kalama beach, South Maui Gardens is tucked in the most secluded area of South Kihei. It is truly as advertised, an OASIS. The property features ample amounts of space, seating, food vendors, a bridal suite and more. Kitoko (one of the many food trucks on property) catered our reception. The meals were each presented as an art within itself and the taste was sensational. One year later, our guests still talk about the food. It's fair to say, there were no disappointments if your guests still have there mouths watering over your fine dining reception meal. In terms of your forever wedding photos, the plant environment delivers that jungle/forest feeling - without even having to leave your wedding venue. At the same time, if you'd like to have beach photos taken - that is also easily accessible. The potential of this property is endless! Our reception was held in the "Prince" building. It truly provided the perfect amount of privacy, lighting and more. It was the most intimate atmosphere - Keeping everyone happy, comfortable, and in awe of the mystical things around them. You will dance under the stars, have twinkle lights or whatever you visualize. The staff at SMG are there to help and will provide you with what you need. They will treat you as family and make your wedding day as easy as possible. I am blessed to say that today I have the chance to walk through this nursery, close my eyes and envision myself walking down the aisle with my father. Both our hands shaking and cracking jokes. Seeing my husband with that "WOW" factor and our son frolicking through the grass - I can promise you that making SMG your wedding venue is one thing you will never regret. I am able to relive my wedding day every time I walk through this magical place and I hope the same for anyone in the future with booking with this company. t pandemic wedding planning was challenging as local residents here. But South Maui Gardens made it easier for us to plan our wedding and make changes up until our wedding day. The venue has a lot of inclusions with their pricing fee and can accommodate up to 200 guests. We had 100 guests. You can choose an indoor and/or outdoor ceremony and reception all in one venue. The SMG team accommodated our wedding design ideas. You can also get ready there as they have their bridal and groom suites in separate areas in the garden which we did. We initially planned our wedding ceremony outdoor by the garden's arbor, cocktail hour outdoor in the garden's grass area and the reception indoor in the Prince building. On the day of our wedding, God blessed us with heavy rain as Maui ended up getting hit by a storm. We ended up doing our ceremony indoor and it was as if it was always meant to happen that way. And even though it rained during our wedding, our garden-themed wedding photos were breathtaking!! Another plus in having our wedding here? Our caterer, Kitoko Maui, is based in the gardens!! South Maui Garden's team was amazing, flexible and professional. They fulfilled the wedding of our dreams.
