Let us make your wedding even more special with the thrill of live music!
As wedding music experts, we will become a vital partner on your planning team. We'll consider all the details for the event, making sure we achieve your vision.
We can tailor the instrumentation and band size to fit your vision, adjusting for the ceremony, cocktail hour and high-gear dance party!
What sets us apart from other bands? We are a tight knit group that prepares carefully for every performance, rehearsing together until the music is flawless. Also, we can offer bluegrass and other acoustic instrumental music in addition to our upbeat and rockin’ country, blues and folk repertoire. Staying within the Americana genre gives our sound an authenticity that is not found with most top 40 bands.
There's nothing like a live band to get a crowd excited and create a sense of sophistication! Our bandleaders will interact with folks on the dance floor, pay attention to the feel of the room and select the next song accordingly.

The South Western Stars had a great selection of songs. They sound amazing and made for a fun country atmosphere. As part of the gig, they did a line dancing instructional that was...
really fun. We opted to have them MC the night for us too. All together, they have a great on-stage presence and personality that made the reception lots of fun.
The band was flexible in accommodating our requests to fulfill our vision and the band leader was a pleasure to work with. She is professional, super nice and her experience is valuable. While we were planning our wedding reception, she was able to give input to help the band and other of the aspects of the party meld perfectly.
Carra and the rest of the band are so incredibly talented! They played a wide range of old and new country, and even threw in a few originals! Everyone kept coming up to us just to...
tell us how much they loved the band! I especially enjoyed the line dancing tutorial that Carra gave, as it got even the most awkward members of my family up out of their chairs and onto the dance floor! Carra was incredibly accommodating throughout the entire process, and it took so much weight off my shoulders the day of the reception. I would recommend the South Western Stars to absolutely anyone and everyone in need of a wedding band, or even just check out one of Carra's local shows! I promise, you won't regret it!!😊 Thank you again to Carra and the rest of the band, y'all are amazing!!❤️

ere able to pair down to exactly what we hoped for! They asked what songs we liked in advance and that was great. The guests had a blast dancing, and it was so much nicer than a DJ - nothing takes the place of live music and they did not disappoint. Mamma Coal is so awesome to work with, very personal and accommodating. I highly recommend!

tly executed. Beyond that Carra has the voice of an angel. I will never forget walking down the aisle to her singing Etta James. Carra and co. (Southwestern stars) are going places and we feel extremely privileged to have been able to have them to make our wedding special. They were incredible and every wedding guest noted their exceptional talent. Thank you Southwestern Stars (Mamma Coal), we will NEVER stop feeling that this most important day was all that more special because of you and your colleagues. Awesome in every way!
