Southeastern La. University-Student Union Ballroom

We were married at SELU on 04/28/2018. We are so appreciative for all of the staff - every single one of them - that had a hand in our wedding. The Student Union crew of guys did a fabulous job Friday getting the ballroom cleaned up from the night before. They were friendly, laughing, and VERY accommodating. Eric (and his team) made sure every little detail was taken care of and that Taylor knew the light settings. He was very through even to the point of making sure the B projected onto the wall was the perfect size. We were quite impressed. Cris' team also had to overcome the obstacle of cleanup from the night before. Amy did a great job removing old linens and making sure the new linens were fresh and in place. My nieces loved following behind her to decorate the tables. Let's talk about the food for a second. One word - AMAZING! Everything was delicious, even our to-go plate that was so thoughtfully packed for us. I can't tell you how many social media comments and text messages we have received about the fajita bar! It was a success for sure. Huge kudos! Cally, was phenomenal in preparation leading up to Friday and Saturday. I know I had a million and one questions. It can get annoying - I get it. I feel like because we handle so much in advance everything went so smoothly. We had a plan in place and it was executed flawlessly (at least from outward appearances). I had a boss tell me once that great teams are like ducks. Under the surface their feet are moving 90 mph making forward progress, but on the surface they are cool and calm. Thank you to everyone for being temporary ducks. Lastly, our day-of-event help Taylor, was amazing. Taylor was were on top of EVERYTHING! I swear I tried not to be a bridezilla and having her there as a resource really helped. She was very attentive. She kept the program on schedule and drinks in our hand all night. We really felt taken care of. Both Hexter and I were speechless when she brought us our plates of food. Totally unexpected but very appreciated. I was actually able to eat half of a fajita before the first guest came over to us. Not only was she the embodiment of professionalism all night but she kept a smile on her face. Again, it is with our deepest gratitude and appreciation that we say thank you! Thank you for making our wedding day the best it could possibly be.
