She was always available to meet, even with little to no advance notice. Outside of vendor meets, cake tastings, dress fittings and venue open houses; Brittany also attended my Bridal shower and helped set up and host the event. She offered professional and personal advice and helped me keep everything together when I got overwhelmed. On the day of our wedding, I didn't have to worry about anything. She has an awesome team so everything was set up and ready before I arrived to the venue. Everyone was just waiting on me. I was late, lol but Brittany made sure the ceremony was still flawless. She made sure the reception was perfect and even helped me bustle my dress. She made sure we ate and enjoyed our special day. I’m so very glad I chose to have a wedding planner and even happier that it was Brittany. Thank you for a job well done.

One of my favorite things about Robyne is that not only did she help make the planning of my wedding fun, but she has a very calming energy about her at the same time, which is really helpful when the stress of planning gets to you. The day was beyond perfect and I know Brittany played a big role in that. I will always be grateful for her and will recommend her every chance I get!

typed up (seriously the most detailed and amazing itinerary I’ve ever seen) which displayed down to the minute how the weekend would go (rehearsal, getting ready, pictures, ceremony, reception, cake cutting, father/daughter dance, toasts, exit, etc), and not only did that relieve so much anxiety for me, but she made sure everything was running smoothly and according to the schedule. All I had to do was show up and have fun! Also, during my reception she made sure my husband and I always had a plate of food and that I always had a glass of champagne in hand (whiskey for my husband!). It honestly felt like there were 10 of her at the reception because she was literally taking care of EVERYTHING. If you’re looking for a wedding planner that will cover all the bases and meet all of your expectations, Robyne is your girl. ! After chatting with 4-5 different planners in the Dallas area, I knew immediately that I wanted to work with Robyne. She not only has a bubbly and genuine personality, but she also emphasized that her goal was to make us happy. I'm very particular about certain things, so I never wanted to feel like I was coerced into making certain decisions about the wedding. She was definitely the only planner I talked to who I felt would give me solid guidance without being overbearing. I hired her for month-of wedding planning services, which primarily involved pulling together all the vendors right before the wedding and coordinating everything on the day of the wedding. However, that did not stop Robyne from going above and beyond. Right when I signed our contract, she immediately started helping me with some vendor suggestions and even offered to come to some of the meetings with me (and this was over a year in advance!). A handful of our vendors came from her suggestions list, and they were all amazing. Also, Robyne checked in on us every couple of months during our planning process, making sure we were on schedule with everything. I felt like a huge weight was lifted off my chest because I knew I could trust her to guide me through the process! Finally, on the day of our wedding, Robyne was the best. My husband and I did not have to worry about a thing! She brought two other people with her (including her husband Jeremy, who also happened to be our DJ) to help out, and they definitely had all bases covered. All of our guests and bridesmaids were really impressed with how smoothly (and on time) everything went. She managed to resolve some major issues (like our photobooth showing up 1.5 hours late) without worrying us. Robyne paid attention to every little detail and even helped me fix my dress after one of the bustles broke! She was seriously like Wonder Woman that night :) I would highly recommend hiring Southern Affairs for any of your event needs. I did not have a single complaint about the job that they did for us. Robyne was not only our wedding planner, but she and Jeremy became good friends in the process. She can pretty much work with any style and with any budget. We are so, so glad that we hired her!

I hired Robyne Swink with Southern Affairs after I had already hired a month-of wedding planner, fired a competing event company for lack of responsiveness, and was only a few months out from our wedding week. Robyne came through, unfazed by the size of our wedding and all its moving parts and took on her role with enthusiasm and confidence as our wedding designer. We hired Robyne strictly for wedding design and decor, but what she did for us was way above and beyond her role. She coordinated delivery times of all of our chairs, table, linens, and other moving parts. She worked with our rental company, florist, and light/sound company to do a trial run-through of the set-up months beforehand to see if it met our standards. And took our countless changes and emphasis on details in stride.She hand folded every single napkin and went well beyond her agreed upon hours to finish our reception decor and flip the ceremony space to a cocktail area on our big day. She did it all! And even though I had a month-of wedding planner, Robyne basically that job as well. Hire this event company if you have a wedding, baby shower, birthday, anniversary... any memorable special event coming up in your life. Their style is impeccable and whether it's a gigantic glam wedding you're shooting for or something more intimate and rustic chic, she will bring it to life. I purchased Robyne's "Dream Day add-on" which provides assistance with the coordination of the rehearsal and wedding day. This package includes two assistants: one designated for the pre-ceremony and ceremony and one designated for the reception, in addition to Robyne herself. Robyne expertly managed the vendors, fielding all of their calls so I didn't have to. She met us several times before the wedding to discuss how I would like the ceremony and reception to look, and she prepared a super helpful timeline down to the minute of every detail of the wedding weekend. During my wedding planning season, my work schedule got super busy, but I was able to completely trust Robyne that she had the wedding planning under control. She designed a beautiful table setup and provided advice as to how certain tables should be set up to assist the traffic flow. On the day of the wedding, I showed up and everything was already in full swing. The reception was completely set up by the time I got there, and it looked absolutely beautiful. Despite bad weather which required us to move our reception indoors, everything was perfect. On the day of my wedding, I didn't have to worry about a thing because Robyne and her two assistants had everything under control. During the reception, there was always someone on hand to serve my husband and I food and drinks and to get us in place for cake-cutting, speeches, first dances, etc. The wedding flowed so smoothly, and I couldn't have done it without Robyne and her team at Southern Affairs.

The day of the wedding, Robyne and her assistant were available and orchestrating all of the vendors, guests, and activities throughout the night. The venue looked perfect. This incident is what caused her rating of 1 star across the board- talking bad about your clients is a big no-no! I am blown away by her lack of professionalism- as is everyone I spoke to who attended the wedding and would not recommend her to any future bride!
