Founded in 2013, the Southern California Brass Quintet (SCBQ) strives to provide the regal, beautiful sound of brass instruments for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions throughout Southern California and beyond. Whether you would like a solo trumpet, a full brass quintet, even a string quartet or any unique combination of instruments, we pride ourselves in personalizing the music and musicians needed to fit each couple's desires. With years of performance experience, members of SCBQ are some of LA/OC's very best, and can be found performing with symphonies all over Southern California, and in the recording studios for television and film. Additionally, our knowledge in contracting the finest musicians in Southern California will be sure to make your wedding day perfect.

I didn't know much about brass instruments and how it would sound for a wedding, but Drew was very helpful in showing me what music is traditionally played for the ceremony. They offered to play prelude music as well as entrance and recessional music at the ceremony. In addition, the brass group played cocktail hour for us, since our reception was close by. It was really nice to have one group be able to do so many different things, and do them so well! The word I keep thinking about is how classy they were and how elegant it made our wedding.

ur specific requests. I wanted to surprise my wife by having the theme from Jurassic Park played when she walked down the aisle. A strange request, I know...Drew mentioned that arranging that piece of music for their 5 players would not be a problem, and when the moment came, they knocked it out of the park. Of all the memories we have from our wedding day, that one still sticks out as being one of the most memorable.
Drew was a pleasure to work with; he was very organized and always returned my phone calls and texts promptly. He even handled purchasing the ferry tickets for the band to get from Long Beach to Catalina Island. All the members of the group were very professional and were AMAZING musicians.
