highly-recommended to me by one of my cousins who had used the service for her wedding. I booked the full, more comprehensive package as I am an out of towner and with my work schedule being busy, knew I'd need the help!
I can confidently say that booking Southern Chic Weddings was the best decision I made in the wedding planning process! (other than the decision to marry my husband, of course :) )
While Southern Chic Weddings exceeds expectations across the board, some highlights from my experience:
Organization: All 'i's were dotted and 't's crossed - our planning document was one of the most detailed documents I've seen in my professional or personal life! I never had to worry about a detail being missed in the planning, and it showed in the wedding/reception - everything ran perfectly!
Vendor selection: I had a vision for what I wanted, but didn't know exactly 'who' to hire when it came to florists, photographer, hair & makeup, etc. Amanda provided an array of options in my budget who were 'trusted' so I didn't have to worry about the quality of service I'd get. This was a huge value add vs. trying to find my own vendors, not to mention how much time and stress was saved by having Southern Chic manage the communications with the vendors.
Budgeting: A crucial part of the process, Amanda helped to ensure we stayed within our budget and understood what to expect in terms of costs in Charleston. This also helped with managing communications with family around decisions.
I highly-recommend Southern Chic Weddings! To this day, my husband and I have wonderful memories of our wedding day ... it came together so much better than we ever imagined because of the quality of this service!

on track with all vendors throughout the entire process and then the month of she completely took over so I could worry about other things! The day of the wedding she was a savior! We had rain all throughout the day and she helped to make the day flow wonderfully with changes being made last minute. She had plan A through E ready and allowed me and my family to simply enjoy the day stress free!

organized, and precise. She knows how to plan the perfect party. Our wedding was in August 2019, and it was absolutely fabulous, truly a day and night to remember! Everything I could have dreamed, Amanda made into a reality. Working with her for a year was truly a blessing, and I am so sad that I don't get to talk to her weekly anymore (although we do keep in touch still, thank goodness)! I trusted and had faith in her abilities as an event planner, and she fully exceeded our expectations. She kept everything on track through frequent emails, lists, and excel spreadsheets. She kept us in the loop on all necessary communication, while also handling much of the intricate details so as not to overburden us. She facilitated communication and collaboration between all family parties, acting as neutral mediator, allowing everything to run smoothly and on course. She is so professional yet has a local and friendly touch. Honestly she makes you feel like family. We really could not have asked for anything more from her. We look back on the special day and have wonderful memories. Everything was perfect, and I know we definitely made the right choice going with her!

She gave us amazing recommendations for vendors, weekend details, planning priorities, and even family situations. Amanda took over all vendor communication two weeks prior to our wedding day; I can’t tell you how much stress that took off of us. I was actually able to relax in what should’ve been the craziest time. She really made us feel comfortable every step of the planning process. We were so happy to have her there on our wedding day – and not just because she was running the show but because she is an amazing person!

After speaking with her, she assured me that she would work with me in the planning and that we could stay within my budget for a planner. She stayed in contact with me monthly, reviewed my progress, made suggestions and encouraged me every step of the way.
She took over the week before and worked well with my vendors. She handled the prep on the day of and did a fabulous job. She faced the challenge of a rainstorm for an outside wedding and orchestrated the back up plan without a hitch! She was the best! I feel like I have a friend for life.
