Very sweet. It does seem like this is just a second job they do part time.
I hired Devon to be my Day-of-Coordinator. She was amazing! Very communicative, helpful, considerate, and just downright awesome! She took so much stress off my on my big day and I...
couldn't have asked for more. She took all the stuff I purchased and made the venue look like the grand hall in Harry Potter. It matched my vision perfectly and it was thanks to her! Highly recommend!!
Wouldn’t recommend :(
I sincerely hate leaving bad reviews - I’d typically just wouldn’t leave a review at all but feel this warrants one. I’d hate for other brides to be let dow...
n as I was.
To be totally transparent.. we feel ripped off, did essentially all planning myself, and all vendors were NOT individually confirmed with before the wedding. I would have done this myself had I known I couldn’t trust her to handle what I would consider one of the most important tasks pre wedding. Mass timeline email was sent out days before the wedding with incorrect information, then resent out once more and remained incorrect. Also exit vehicle thought our end time was 11 pm instead of 10 pm which we found out about at 10 pm wedding night.. because this vendor was not confirmed with. Devon said vendors were replying individually to her and just not including me, which may have been the case for some but I know not all responded & therefore were NOT confirmed.
We hired Devon after speaking with a couple other planners. I liked that Devon seemed personable and was happy to give our money to a working mom versus a big planning company - which I now regret.
Communication throughout the entire process was not great. Untimely and disorganized. No month of wedding check in to make sure all was taken care of. Generic week of checklist was sent Monday of wedding week only after requesting it the day prior.
The few vendors I asked recs for were not great (as in had bad reviews). Was informed about 3ish months out she wouldn’t be at our wedding due to a family members wedding but would have 2 people fill in. I was understanding and fine w this.. but after everything that transpired that is now super frustrating. Maybe she would’ve cared more if she was the one working the wedding.
The best part.. After the wedding we’ve received absolutely zero follow up contact. I thought maybe she would check in to see how all went since she couldn’t be there. I sent an email 2 weeks after the wedding with honest feedback and waited a week for her to respond before writing a review.. still no response. I would’ve paid a LOT more money to not go through what we did. Spend the money for someone more expensive and experienced, I promise it’s worth it.
Devon was amazing as our day-of coordinator! We hired her pretty last minute, and she squeezed us in. She met with me in person to go over all the vendors and details for the weddi...
ng. She was professional, handled everything for us, and even went above and beyond to drop off some boxes that we didn’t have space for in the car at the end of the night. She decorated the reception area beautifully for us. She anticipated my needs and understood my vision. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Even my dad, who is not a big spender at all and would typically think a coordinator is unnecessary, said he would hire Devon and her team again in a heartbeat because they made our day stress-free and easy. Thank you so much, Devon!
Amazing!
Day of services were amazing. But planning process throughout was unorganized and untimely. We had to keep ourselves on track for timely vendor bookings. The budget went way ove...
r on our wedding, partly due to untimely bookings. You will have keep yourselves on budget and on a timeline.
I made a last-minute decision on hiring a day-of coordinator. I had already done all of the planning, but started to stress on how the day-of activities were going to flow. Samanth...
a and Megan were a breeze to work with on the wedding day. Before the big day, there was some tension between SHWE and my venue owner, but was easily worked out between my husband and I with the venue in the end. Samantha and I only met once at our venue (I live about 5 hours from where we were getting married), so it made planning a bit rough around both our schedules. I noticed about 3-4 weeks out is when questions were being asked, timelines were being made, vendors were being contacted etc. Day-of went smoothly - they set up the decor how I asked them to (TRFloral did the florals), double-checked with me how I wanted things, knew what was next on the agenda, and kept us on schedule. Everything looked perfect on the big day!
We hired Devon and her team as the month of coordinator for our September wedding. The packages she offers are certainly best in value. Devon was available for questions from Janua...
ry when we hired her to the day of our wedding. Devon is a great problem solver and was able to handle any issues that came up on my wedding day so that I could remain stress free. She and her team did a great job setting up the signs and other decor items we brought in and helped execute my vision flawlessly. They also packed up everything at the end of the night and gave me so much peace of mind. She was a joy to work with and I definitely recommend her and her team.
I honestly could have not made it through my wedding day without Devon and her team. All of the typical wedding anxiety brides have, she melted away. Planning a wedding is hard, bu...
t planning a wedding during COVID-19 is harder. Devon made the process easy and comforting. From text messages, to hour long phone calls easing my anxiety and walking me through step-by-step solutions, Devon didn’t miss a beat. On the day of my wedding I was in tears and she showed up, gave me a hug, and literally took everything into her hands. Setting up the whole reception space, doing our day-of ceremony walk through, talking with all of the vendors. I did not have to worry about a thing. Devon and her team even helped clean the place up after the wedding was over and my husband and I had a bit too much to drink. She even sat us down during the reception and made sure we ate LOL. I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding coordinator/planner. Southern Housewives Wedding Planning is a vendor I will recommend to every single person I know. I am genuinely thankful to have had them by our side on our special day. Thank you so much.
Devon is by far the best wedding planner you could even imagine getting. I am NOT a planner, by any means. We happen to come across Devon at a open house at my wedding venue. As so...
on as I met her I HAD to have her as our wedding planner. She is hilarious, truly listens to everything you want and need. She recommended and found our vendors for us ( which were all amazing) and made the day seamless. Let’s be real, the one person we chose not going through her was horrible. Devon will defend and do everything in her power to make things perfect for you.Including playing a speaking role in your ceremony (much appreciated 😂). The people from my wedding party still speak so highly of her. She is truly worth every penny if not more.
Get you a wedding planner that will roll in the grass for you to get that perfect photo. Thank you Devon!!

ion of the evening. She's quick on her feet; literally, running from point A to B, if necessary. She's well-organized, thoughtful and kind. And, she has a great staff supporting her, who also worked well with our catering company.

from Waxahachie to meet me in Victory Park, which was so appreciated. She went over my timeline and set literally everything up the day of so I could just focus on enjoying my wedding. She kept calm and collected the day of and kept me from freaking out when hiccups arose. She kept everything running smoothly with the timeline and photographer. She is the best thing that I did for the day of my wedding! On top of that she is the type of person you would want to be friends with!

alking about how happy we are that we decided to have her as a part of our big day. She helped make the entire process seamless, organized, efficient, and FUN! Plus she decorated the entire event for me, which was an amazing help since I am not strong suited in that. It allowed me and my family to relax day of which was a huge blessing.

Devon, Wes, and Kaitlyn took care of this and I didn’t have to think about it at all. Y’all we’re machines, and this was your shining moment.
🙌🏻Thank you!

igned to be a wedding venue.
She was really good about staying in touch with my vendors so I didn't have to do as much prior to the wedding. I'm not really even sure what all she did the morning of the wedding, but she and her assistant worked their butts off for us.
Even if you think you've got everything planned out, really consider who is going to make sure it all happens the day of. You need Devon!

ed that they couldn't have handled. I was thoroughly impressed with how seamlessly they worked and operated. My daughter's wedding day was so much better because they were there to run it, it really allowed me to be able to relax and enjoy my daughter's big day. From one mom to another, hire a coordinator, ESPECIALLY this one! I promise it will make you able to enjoy the day and RELAX!

e with such composure, like a seasoned pro. My mom and I were SO impressed! They made sure to communicate with all of my vendors so that everyone was on the same page and was showing up exactly when they needed to be so that everything would be ready by start time. They really made us feel like we were their only brides ever because they were so focused on us. They made sure our rehearsal ran well and that our entrance-which I was super stressed about-ran as smooth as my friends would allow it to be. I would highly recommend to ANYONE looking for a planner or coordinator, they were worth every penny! You will NOT be disappointed!

ce I was having a lot of trouble finding a planner that would decorate for me. They helped me find all of my vendors and made sure the vendors followed the timeline they created, everything flowed perfectly! You are definitely missing out if you DON'T hire them, they're seriously the BEST!! I will be recommending them to ALL of my friends when they get engaged!

s were taken care of. Devon was so detail oriented and really made sure that everything was set up perfectly. They seemed to make our day run so seamlessly and made it look so effortless, Devon really knows what she's doing. She also came to multiple vendor meetings with us and she REALLY has an incredible knack for design! They were the best money we spent, I honestly don't think our wedding day could've been as perfect without them! We met with multiple planners until we met with Devon and she was so personable and just so easy to get along with, she's going to feel like your best friend in no time!
