To be totally transparent.. we feel ripped off, did essentially all planning myself, and all vendors were NOT individually confirmed with before the wedding. I would have done this myself had I known I couldn’t trust her to handle what I would consider one of the most important tasks pre wedding. Mass timeline email was sent out days before the wedding with incorrect information, then resent out once more and remained incorrect. Also exit vehicle thought our end time was 11 pm instead of 10 pm which we found out about at 10 pm wedding night.. because this vendor was not confirmed with. Devon said vendors were replying individually to her and just not including me, which may have been the case for some but I know not all responded & therefore were NOT confirmed.
We hired Devon after speaking with a couple other planners. I liked that Devon seemed personable and was happy to give our money to a working mom versus a big planning company - which I now regret.
Communication throughout the entire process was not great. Untimely and disorganized. No month of wedding check in to make sure all was taken care of. Generic week of checklist was sent Monday of wedding week only after requesting it the day prior.
The few vendors I asked recs for were not great (as in had bad reviews). Was informed about 3ish months out she wouldn’t be at our wedding due to a family members wedding but would have 2 people fill in. I was understanding and fine w this.. but after everything that transpired that is now super frustrating. Maybe she would’ve cared more if she was the one working the wedding.
The best part.. After the wedding we’ve received absolutely zero follow up contact. I thought maybe she would check in to see how all went since she couldn’t be there. I sent an email 2 weeks after the wedding with honest feedback and waited a week for her to respond before writing a review.. still no response. I would’ve paid a LOT more money to not go through what we did. Spend the money for someone more expensive and experienced, I promise it’s worth it.

ng. She was professional, handled everything for us, and even went above and beyond to drop off some boxes that we didn’t have space for in the car at the end of the night. She decorated the reception area beautifully for us. She anticipated my needs and understood my vision. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Even my dad, who is not a big spender at all and would typically think a coordinator is unnecessary, said he would hire Devon and her team again in a heartbeat because they made our day stress-free and easy. Before the big day, there was some tension between SHWE and my venue owner, but was easily worked out between my husband and I with the venue in the end. Samantha and I only met once at our venue (I live about 5 hours from where we were getting married), so it made planning a bit rough around both our schedules. I noticed about 3-4 weeks out is when questions were being asked, timelines were being made, vendors were being contacted etc. Day-of went smoothly - they set up the decor how I asked them to (TRFloral did the florals), double-checked with me how I wanted things, knew what was next on the agenda, and kept us on schedule. Everything looked perfect on the big day!

She and her team did a great job setting up the signs and other decor items we brought in and helped execute my vision flawlessly. t planning a wedding during COVID-19 is harder. Devon made the process easy and comforting. From text messages, to hour long phone calls easing my anxiety and walking me through step-by-step solutions, Devon didn’t miss a beat. On the day of my wedding I was in tears and she showed up, gave me a hug, and literally took everything into her hands. Setting up the whole reception space, doing our day-of ceremony walk through, talking with all of the vendors. I did not have to worry about a thing. Devon and her team even helped clean the place up after the wedding was over and my husband and I had a bit too much to drink. She even sat us down during the reception and made sure we ate LOL. on as I met her I HAD to have her as our wedding planner. She is hilarious, truly listens to everything you want and need. She recommended and found our vendors for us ( which were all amazing) and made the day seamless. Let’s be real, the one person we chose not going through her was horrible. Devon will defend and do everything in her power to make things perfect for you.Including playing a speaking role in your ceremony (much appreciated 😂). She was really good about staying in touch with my vendors so I didn't have to do as much prior to the wedding. I'm not really even sure what all she did the morning of the wedding, but she and her assistant worked their butts off for us.
