My mom and I had a call with Zach who eased all of our stresses. He was so understanding and paired us with Kelsey, who was the perfect balance for me on wedding day! When Jesse and I went to meet her, him and I both were immediately thrilled. And their office manager Lisa is just fabulous, she is so on top of it she doesn't even leave you room to NOT be. Such a wonderful choice for our wedding day!

We also had a bunch of family that were unable to make the wedding due to health reasons so having a full ceremony video helped them feel a part of our wedding ceremony which was very important to us. On me being impatient, I was blown away with how fast my questions and emails were answered along with how long it was before we got our wedding video back, under 2 weeks! Amazing! This made me so happy, we had heard horror stories from friends that waited 6+ months to get photos and videos back from other companies. So happy with our decision to hire Southern Palms!

We were able to talk with him before the wedding day which made us feel even more comfortable with the whole process. We got our video back super fast and were completely blown away. Zack's personality was very chill (aka: he will not stress you out at any point during the wedding day or during the wedding planning time period), he was professional, and he knows his stuff. He was even able to herd the groomsmen and make sure none of them got lost lol (the groomsmen had been drinking, and one was probably high). We were able to get a timeline from him and finish all the photos we wanted to finish before the ceremony, with time to spare. Smooth sailing on the wedding day! Our teaser photos were fantastic and I have one sitting right in front of me now, in a frame :) Can't wait to get a book together of our wedding photos (we have like 1000+ to pick from OMG). I know the photos are something we will cherish for years to come. Zack's work is great and well worth the price.

Zack knows how to position people, which is quite important for photoshoots. His editing of the photos are very clean. He even did a same-day edit and showed the video at the end of my reception, which was especially impressive because we did the garter/bouquet toss literally 5-10 minutes before he showed the video and it STILL made it into the video! He was very accommodating when my fiancé got sick with food poisoning the day he was coming to us for our engagement photo shoot...thankfully we were able to fit in a shoot in St. Augustine. In each photo you can see the care and attention Zack put into the composition of each shot. Pricing was never a point of friction. All questions were handled professionally and Zack did a good job in making the payments easy. Zack was flexible and attentive during both the engagement and wedding photos. There were a couple of curveballs because we had planned to have our wedding photos taken outside (e.g. unexpected torrential downpour of rain), but Zack was alerted and adapted to a changed setting. The shots were beautifully captured that made the weather appear to be on purpose! His skill as a photographer and also for the care he put into making our wedding photo shoot made our day a truly delightful experience. Bow Tie Photo made us feel comfortable and natural in front of the lens. many candid shots all night without being incredibly obtrusive. He was incredibly patient with late parents, approaching rain and herds of tourists near the White House. He was able to even make the photos look like there was no one else around AND keep onlookers away. I can not recommend Zack enough - he truly is a genius with his work. I was a little reluctant at first to be honest, but after viewing Tyler's work (Tyler was our photographer) I was immediately sold. Tyler was such a pleasure to work with. He made my hubby and I feel very relaxed in front of the camera. Throughout the whole day, he was non-intrusive, and very detail oriented; capturing some shots of my grandmother's pendant, among a lot more family memorabilia that were important to us. I truly can not express my gratitude enough to Tyler for making the happiest day of my life the most memorable. I get teary-eyed just looking at our photos - then again I am a big baby, haha! It sounds cliché, but it’s entirely true that after the wedding all you have are the memories and the photos and video to relive it. Our wedding day schedule was a bit complicated and it required Zack and all of our vendors to stay right on track in order to make everything run smooth. We were seriously impressed with how well Zack stuck to our timeline as well as being flexible for on the fly changes and was still able to exceed our photography expectations. Zack did a great job with taking our “candid portraits” that he talked to us in depth about prior to our wedding while also getting lots of organic moments throughout the day of our families and friends. One of our favorite parts is that Zack edits and delivers a ton (literally a ton) of photos and we have the image rights to print, share, make albums on our own, using any image we want. We will recommend him to everyone we know getting married, his ease and professionalism the day of combined with the quality of his work is unmatched!

When Zack and his second shooter, Tyler, showed up, they were early and came with a plan (even though he had never shot at our locations before, you would have never known, he is an expert). Going back and forth from the bridesmaids to the groomsman, he was always in motion and always taking pictures, I know he got some amazing candids. He even helped my husband and the Groomsman put on their boutonnieres (shocker, the guys were clueless). Tyler was great, he definitely has an eye for detail and sees things that he changes to make the photos that much better. Zack did whatever it took to get the best shot with the right lighting. At one point he was laying down on his stomach, in dirt and dust to capture a photo without buildings in the background. Not only did Zack go above and beyond the call of duty with his photography skills but they were both a pleasure to be around and made the evening even more special by not only capturing our favorite night but through their personality as well. I had multiple people approach me and tell me how wonderful they were and that they couldn't not wait to see the pictures as Zack had shown them 'sneak peaks' on his camera - which they LOVED! Even though the ceremony started late, he managed to get all the photos that I wanted with my very large family within the 15 minutes that we had left! He responded very quickly and luckily he was still available for my wedding date. When I met with Zack, I immediately knew that he would be perfect to be my photographer. He went over what to expect from him as a photographer and the day of timeline for the photography. He also asked me to make a shot list for him to make sure that I got all the photos that I wanted.
