u were to book with them. I reached out to Southern Standard and was directed to fill out their intake form, I did and waited for follow up. The only follow up was for their retainer which I paid but had more questions, I asked at least two times to try to speak via phone, but their office manager never reached out. I should have looked elsewhere then. When I inquired about the discount I was told they cannot honor it. We did change our package after putting pen to paper and figuring out cost ourselves, but I feel like that could have been easily decided to upgrade with a basic phone call.  Its not straight forward what beers/wine/liquor they provide so we booked our complimentary tasting to try to get these questions asked. We ARE NOT local, so we both took off work to drive 4.5 hours in hopes of getting answers to our questions. We found out a few hours before that we were going to have another couple at our tasting, I wrote back expressing how  would we have time to ask questions pertaining to our event and that we did have to turn around and head back home so we didn't have hours to hang around. It went unanswered except that we could leave early if needed, and they understood. At this point we still have not physically spoken to someone, might I add. We started the tasting and the couple we were with had a different package than us which was beyond confusing as they were providing their beer/wine/liquor and we were not. I had to stop and get clarification multiple times that we were not required to provide mixers, etc. By the time we had to leave we weren't able to ask any of our questions and honestly, we should have just figured out a new vendor at that point, but we were around a month out from services. We paid in cash for services and were told that there would be this questioner coming out and to be super specific on there for everything and everything would be fine(we had a minor glimpse of hope). The questioner.... is geared towards those providing the beverages and pickup etc.... The two things that did pertain to us was what two signature drinks (a list provided by them) and for beer do we need can, bottle, keg... we choose Cans since our Venue contract required that (venue is on the Horseshoe) and SHOCKER, THEY SHOWED UP WITH BOTTLES....  Their services handout is beyond misleading; communication is zero. Idk if it was where we were getting married or us but the services you see on their insta does not match what shows up. And I was told we ran out of Crown and something else by the end of the night. There are no mixers unless they were a part of your signature drinks so if you were thinking they could make shots they can't. I personally would not recommend, and we should have changed directions after the first red flag.
