We had a great experience with all of the other girls too, and Amanda did a perfect job with my makeup. Prior to the wedding, we even did some spray tans with Jaci and that was a fun experience to get to do something with my mom and sister before the wedding. The whole team was prompt, communicative, and did a fantastic job all around.

hey managed to get me and my entire bridal party looking flawless on schedule (which felt like a miracle in itself).
Not only did they make us look fabulous, but they were also a blast to hang out with—it felt more like a party than a prep session. They nailed everyone’s look, from natural and glowy to full glam, and everything held up all day and night (through happy tears, sweaty dance moves, and everything in between).
Highly recommend booking them if you want to feel like your most beautiful self and have a ridiculously good time getting ready. 10/10, would let them glam me up any day!

From our initial trial in June to the big day in September, the entire experience was nothing short of perfect. Marlinda and Reagin did an incredible job with hair, while Nicole and Megan worked their magic with makeup. Each one of them brought such talent and professionalism to the table.
All of my bridesmaids are still raving about how beautifully they transformed our looks! The hairstyles were stunning and creative, and the makeup struck the perfect balance of natural and elegant. Even with the Texas heat and a full two hours of dancing, our hair and makeup held up beautifully throughout the night.
They arrived on time and worked efficiently, ensuring that everything was completed with plenty of time to spare. This allowed us to enjoy the morning without any wedding day stress!

The fact that this vendor has 5 stars BAFFLES ME for the fact that not one person on our bridal team liked their hair. Including the bride. Where to begin…they straightened my hair...
, I have thicker curly hair, with NO HEAT PROTECTANT NOTHING. Mind you this service cost $100!!! Never have I paid more than $35 for hair straightening, but I digress. She made quick passes over my hair, straightening out my curls, but not doing passes to flatten my hair at all. When she finished it looked puffy and frizzy but straight. Not 5 minutes later, my hair expands a lot more. An hour passes and it is unacceptable. I go outside (a nice weather day not too much humidity) for maybe five minutes. The hairdresser asks if we need touch ups. Anyone with eyes can see that my hair looks horrible and my roots are not straightened anywhere. She has an attitude doing my touch ups. Says my hair is puffy bc I went outside. Excuses and attitude. She fills my hair with HAIRSPRAY and goes over it again. My hair sizzles and OBVIOUSLY frizzes up more since hairspray has water content. I had to try and fix it straighten it myself. Anyways, none of the other 5 bridesmaids like their hair— their curls didn’t last. And the bride didn’t like her wedding hair despite various attempts. I don’t recommend, not worth the money nor time. My sister and mom and aunt went to a salon down the street, charged each of them $30ish, their curls lasted days till they showered.

I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to provide a review. We value feedback as it is the best way we can continue to improve our services. That being said, we are committed to providing the best experience possible, and I'm sorry that we missed the mark with your service.
In your case, the combination of thick curly hair and the weather, even on a seemingly mild day in the heat of our Texas summers, can sometimes make it more difficult for certain styles to hold as expected. Our stylists are always happy to offer insight and recommendations when we anticipate a style is not the best option for your hair type/texture to ensure that we achieve the best overall outcome. However, we will ultimately go with the style the client chooses. The lack of heat protectant and the puffiness that resulted are certainly not what we aim for, and we appreciate that being brought to our attention so that we can ensure the proper products are always used for our clients. Our stylists certainly did not leave with the impression that no one was happy with their hair, and we are heartbroken to hear that. It adds a layer of difficulty when a bride is from out of town and is unable to do a trial where we can work out any potential kinks in her style.

The experience was so fun and easy, with our inspiration photos quickly assessed for what each person wanted and perfectly created by our stylists. I am so happy to have had such a professional and talented duo for hair and makeup. The booking, scheduling, and trial process were great, and there was much care and flexibility given at each step. I knew I wouldn't be disappointed but I was truly blown away with the level of professionalism, talent, and care that my girls and I received! I received countless compliments on "whoever did you and your girls, KILLED IT." All of my girls felt absolutely stunning, and they are a very opinionated group. Jaci and Marissa looked at their inspo photos and knocked it out! I could probably write a book about why you should choose Southern Tease, but just know you're in the absolute BEST hand with them <3
