Shinese was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. Even though she was only coordinating the day of, she was extremely communicative in the two months prior to the wedding so that she could take over the details from my fiancé and I. She even picked up and brought our cake to the reception the day of! On the wedding day we were of course overwhelmed with guests and everything happening that day and Shinese kept us calm and everyone on schedule. Everything could not have gone smoother due to her professionalism. Highly recommend!

Shinese is incredible!! My husband and I were floored by her work. A coordinator wasn’t originally in our plans, but we were unbelievably relieved to have her there. She was always reachable and dependable. It was such a relief knowing that she was in our corner. Something that was super impressionable was her intentionality of making sure what we desired was honored and the extra effort she put to serve us dinner + drinks. The service she gives definitely exceeds what you pay for.

Shinese was absolutely incredible as our day-of wedding coordinator! My wife and I are Bengali-American (similar to Indian) and had our entire day split between a church ceremony, followed by an ethnic-themed reception. She did not have prior experience with coordinating our type of reception which includes performances and some smaller traditions, but Shinese was excited to be a part of our special event! Shinese is amazing when it comes to communicating and planning before the event and tries to always be accessible! She gave us some great suggestions on how to plan our schedules and programs based on what she's seen in the past with other clients. She gave detailed information to all of our vendors and reached out to them to make sure everyone was on the same page for our wedding weekend. Our venue coordinator was impressed and grateful with how much detail she received from Shinese. Shinese was present during our wedding rehearsal at church and was great about managing the bridal party to ensure everybody knew what to expect. She's very time-effecient as well and made sure distractions were at an absolute minimum. When it came to the actual wedding day, everything went off without an issue! Our church ceremony was great and the reception was even better! Shinese was great about managing our programs and schedule during the reception which includes lots of dances, speeches, cake cutting, and other small items. Shinese made sure myself and my wife were good by constantly checking in on us to see if she could fix us a plate of food or grab us a drink. She was also incredible about checking-in with all of our vendors during the event to make sure everything was set up properly or replaced as needed. Our sparkler exit was also beautiful as Shinese and our bridal party worked together to make sure we were good to go. Long story short: if you are looking for a wedding coordinator who will ensure your experience will be as stress-free as possible and will go above and beyond for you on your special day, HIRE SHINESE! She's the sweetest, most thoughtful, and organized vendor I've had the pleasure to work with!

Shinese was a rockstar. My fiancé and I hired Shinese for the day of/month of coordination, and she was awesome. We opted for something less traditional, and Shinese rolled with our ideas and asked questions we hadn’t considered to help us clarify what we wanted. She was friendly and supportive when I was stressed. Also, she was awesome with our vendors—they all remarked how professional she was—and good-natured and helpful with our family. We used a non-traditional venue, and Shinese advocated for our needs that they didn’t anticipate. She also worked amazingly with the photographer to track down people for pictures (even given how complicated my family is!). I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a coordinator.

From the first conversation with Shinese, I knew she would be the coordinator for us. She immediately reassured me on some things that were stressing me out. She was very responsive and professional. The day of the wedding, she made things flow so smoothly. She handled my family with care and high regard. I really appreciate her and how flexible she was, especially since it rained on our wedding day. In spite of the rain, she worked hard to make our day special.

I was actually blown away by Shinese's work for our wedding. I had a backyard wedding with about 75 guests so she had her work cut out for her to be the glue for all my loose ends of different vendors. We opted for the month/day-of package and she communicated well with me 2 months and 1 month before the wedding to smoothly transition over my vendor contacts and details for the day of the wedding. She even drove down to walk-through my backyard and avidly took notes on all the details I envisioned. I really appreciated that she endeavored to see my wedding vision, as it only lived in my head at the moment. She was helpful in the small details when I thought I had accounted for everything, but she made some very helpful suggestions! We even hired her husband Derrick to be our wedding shuttle from our home to the park 1 mile up the road. My first live experience of Shinese's professionalism was at my rehearsal the day before the wedding where she conducted my wedding party in the most efficient and confident manner. I cannot tell you the relief I felt for having hired her! You could tell she had done this countless times before. I had a handful of last minute, nit picky details for her and she took them all in stride, never skipping a beat! The day of the wedding she was a force to be reckoned with! She was also charged with starting and tapering down the music for the day (which I was also very specific about). She made sure all my vendors were in place or knew where they were supposed to go (photographer, bartenders, cake, catering, etc.) and corralled my guests, family, and wedding party. She was all the behind the scenes: moving ceremony chairs to the reception tables, filling my bubble machine, changing the trash bins, and even more I did not see!! During the reception, she was working HARD. Gloves on- bringing my husband and I food and drinks, calling each table to go get food, cutting & dispersing our cake, and keeping us all on schedule for the night. What a relief and blessing I felt to have Shinese there to keep afloat my wedding aspiration so I could just enjoy the day! As evening turned to night, her work was still not over. She helped clean up my backyard, lined up the guests for the sparkler exit, made sure my vendors were paid, shuttled my guests away, and my husband and I could enjoy one last private dance on our perfect day. Thank you Shinese and Derrick for one of the best and dear service experiences I have ever had! 100/10 would recommend.

It was great working with Shinese for our wedding. We weren't sure if we needed a month of coordinator for our small wedding but as the day got closer we realized we needed help! Shinese was able to help us on short notice with our last minute details and ironing out our final plans. She asked us questions we didn't know needed to be asked and guided us on how to make our big day the best it could be. On our wedding day she made sure everything ran smoothly and all the little jobs my husband and I had originally planned to do ourselves got done. All we had to do was show up and get married! I highly recommend a month of coordinator, and specifically Shinese, to anyone planning a wedding.

Hiring Shinese and Southern Veil Weddings was hands down the best decision I made about our wedding day. I decided to hire her for her day-of coordinator services about a month before the wedding as I was getting overwhelmed with all of the scheduling that needed to happen for the day. From the first day we met she broke down everything I needed to have done in very simple terms and made sure that we were on the exact same page. She took my vision for our day and made it a reality! Everything ran so smoothly and she was an absolute delight to have at the wedding. From the rehearsal, to the ceremony, to the reception, I could not have imagined our day without Shinese. Shinese is an incredible person! Every single detail was taken care of and I just got to relax and truly experience and enjoy every aspect of our wedding. She was always very responsive and solved every challenge as they appeared. Shinese is first and foremost kind and put together - the perfect combo! She made sure that we liked all our decisions and stood up for us to ensure we had a perfect wedding. Every married person told me that I wouldn’t get to say hi to everyone at the wedding, that I wouldn’t get to eat any food, that I would get tired of photos, that something always goes wrong, etc. NOTHING went wrong!! She made us plates of food, kept tabs on the timeline, fended off some family so we could just enjoy our day - it was incredible. Shinese also coordinated with all our vendors and two weeks before our wedding took care of all communications. This was a godsend and gave us time to relax. There were so many things she did to make this day go smoothly and I couldn’t sing her praises enough. Hands down the best.

Shinese was so personable and helpful planning our wedding! She knew what to do and when. She reminded me of the little things that would’ve gone over my head had I not had here to help. Overall very satisfied!!

I am so glad I found Shinese and Southern Veil Weddings. I got the day-of package, but she helped me beyond that when it came to making sure all was organized. When the big day did come, she was on time, helped with delivery, played DJ, and worked well with my family and other vendors to give us an amazing wedding day. Even when things got stressful (my fault, I didnt have some flowers and chairs ready to go on time), she took charge and had back up plans already in motion. She is friendly and super professional. If you are not sure if you need a coordinator, trust me, you do! It is worth it, and you need Shinese!

Wow Shinese and her team did an amazing job! We went with the COVID package which was perfect since we only had a small event. She went above and beyond by not only coordinating between my vendors, but also ensuring my decorations set up for the elopement. Our scheduled planning calls really put me at ease. She was very conscious of the timeline, making sure that all vendors were there and in place. Not to mention making sure that I was actually on time myself. Her team made sure the day was seamless and we had every little thing we needed, from food/snacks to putting out fires with the wedding party and guests. I could not imagine how my day would have gone without them. Even my husband was surprised as he didn't have to deal with me stressing out. I would highly recommend any couple getting married to book with Southern Veil Weddings. Shinese is amazing, her prices are very reasonable and she gives attention for great detail.
