You NEED Shelly!!! She was incredible!!! She was so generous with her time and ideas about our day and was such a resource for us! She knows the business, is ORGANIZED and knows how to get things done!! She coordinated our entire day and we literally could not have gotten through it without her! She kept the entire vendor team moving all night and everyone knew when to be where. I felt so much peace knowing she was running the show and taking care of everything! She is just the BEST and worth every penny and more!!
Shelly is the best wedding planner EVER! She is so on top of it and extremely organized. She thinks of everything and is so helpful with suggestions. On the day of, I felt so comfortable leaving things in her hands! The day of my wedding was absolutely perfect with the help of Shelly and her team. Not a single thing went wrong and I didn't have a worry in the world because I fully trusted leaving everything in her hands.
If you are looking for a wedding planner who is organized, thoughtful, helpful, responsive and all around fun, Shelly and Sparks Fly is 100% the way to go!
I would highly recommend Shelly and the Sparks Fly team to anyone who is even remotely thinking about hiring a planner. She made planning the details easy and ensured that nothing was overlooked. When it came to the wedding day, I knew that everything was going to go EXACTLY as planned and that is exactly what happened. On such a stressful day it was nice to know that everything would be taken care of. It truly was a night that the wedding guests will never forget and a lot of that is all thanks to Shelly and her amazing team.

Shelly is absolutely incredible at her “job.” I say this in quotations because it’s such an important role in a wedding or event, but Shelly somehow makes it very relaxed and her passion and love for helping others really shines through. Our wedding was very organized, calm, and an incredible time thanks to her and her assistants. We were able to be fully engaged in one another and give our time to family and friends knowing she had it under control. I personally feel like if you’re trying to choose a planner for your next event, trusting that person and being completely confident in your vendor is key. Sparks Fly Planning exceeded all expectations and provided us with a seamless memory that will last a lifetime. We’re still raving about the best time of our lives to date. Shelly helped with 2 of my daughters weddings and she was amazing. I’ve known Shelly for a long time and highly reccomend her. She’s very professional and works hard to make that special day as perfect as she can. We all loved working with Shelly.
5/5 stars for Shelly! From the first meeting we had until the day of our wedding, Shelly was there to help us every step of the way. Shelly is flexible and goes the extra mile to ensure your big day goes as planned. I knew I wanted to be a hands off bride the day of and I certainly was, mainly because Shelly stepped up to coordinate all logistics until the end of the night. To all brides, please hire Shelly, hiring her is the difference between you enjoying your big day or being on the phone with vendors and putting out fires. Trust me!

Shelly Kitchens is a wonderful wedding planner. She was the wedding planner for my daughter's wedding in 20 10. She is calm, helpful, knows the wedding business and has excellent taste. She helped everything go so smoothly. I highly recommend her and would use her again.
I’ve used Shelly on more than one occasion and what stands out the most to me is her excellent sense of style and color. She makes suggestions based on current style and decor trends yet makes sure to capture individual personalities too. She listens to what you want and really helps make it your own!
She has excellent interpersonal skills and is sensitive to the needs of all parties involved. Things were less stressful because I knew I could trust Shelly with the details. She is organized, well-prepared and extremely skilled at coordinating and problem-solving.

Shelly was WONDERFUL on my wedding day and the months leading up to it. She has a calming presence and can-do attitude that was so comforting because I knew everything would be taken care of from start to finish the day of the wedding. There were no hiccups the entire day and Shelly and her team made sure the wedding party, vendors and guests knew what was going on and coming next. She had great advice in planning my layout, wedding timeline, and vendors and worked with each member of my vendor team to ensure that everything was seamless. Shelly is the best! As the mother of the bride, last minute details were abundant on the day of the wedding. Shelly took care of all the details at the wedding reception and everything went so smoothly! She even sent us pictures of the hors d'oeuvres/cocktail reception and dinner set-up before the guests had arrived!
Shelly was FANTASTIC! My wedding ran so smoothly and everything was PERFECT. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding coordinator. She was so helpful during the engagement process and so helpful at the wedding. Her and her assistants set up the decor for the wedding perfectly and they helped pick up flowers and desserts when we weren't able to.
