Steph is the absolute best! We were coming from out of town but wanted to find a local photographer for our venue. So we were only communicating via phone calls before our wedding date. But with every conversation, Steph was able to envision the exact vibe we were going for with our wedding and really just kind of matched our energy. Come our wedding day, Steph arrived to the venue early to scope out spots to take pictures, and during the ceremony/reception, she perfectly blended in to capture great candid shots of everyone. The finished product was exactly what we were hoping for. She was also extremely understanding of not having our photos publicly accessible since we have a young daughter who appears in many of the photos, and we didn't want her image online. That really meant a lot to us, so we were beyond thankful that she was willing to work with us on that. I honestly can't say enough good things about her work, or her as a person. I only wish we lived in the same area so she could do all our family photos in the future!
10/10 steph is an amazing photographer! She was great at making our engagement photos and weddimg photos look so natural and beautiful! And she was so personable and really put the effort and work into making sure we were well taken care of!

I love capturing genuine moments and prefer candid, quiet moments over highly directed photos (though I will pose you as well).
As an Iowa native, I love open skies, prairie grasses, and lightning bugs. Sign me up for a sunset session in tall prairie grasses and it'll make me melt every time. Slow couple's sessions filled with birdsong and giggles are what I am aiming for in 2026.
For weddings, day of, I am there to be your advocate and to document what you've pulled together be it family, friends, items or venue details--I'm on it! We'll put together a custom timeline for your photos to make certain all the details that matter to you are accounted for.
