DJ / MC Jim Ogle was absolutely wonderful at our wedding. When we spoke with Jim the week before to review the playlist, we got a true sense of how genuine he is about his work and in ensuring we had a memorable time. On our wedding day, despite months of careful planning, we had a few unexpected events, lol. A van of guests arrived early as the bride was taking photos outside before the ceremony, the father of the bride took a stumble down the aisle, and a dress / bustle malfunction delayed the Grand Entrance. All that said, those are the moments when you want someone like Jim around…. to move his van to just the right spot so that the bride can make quick dash to the bridal suite (hopefully unnoticed), or to slow the music down during the processional so the timing is just right, or to find the bride’s cell phone with a video of the seamstress bustling the dress so everyone could find the missing button. Jim was literally everywhere but still at the end of the day read the crowd perfectly and delivered a night of great music. We had a ton of memorable moments on the dance floor. I got to meet Jim at the wedding for first time he was the BEST he walked us through everything before he did it. He also played our playlist as we would of liked it kept the crowd happy and entertained. Jim made my whole process easy and comfortable. Picking music that everyone would enjoy was tough and trying to pick the right version but once I could find a song I like and just send him the link made it all so much easier. He was a huge help on our wedding day with checking in if we needed anything and just making sure we were all good. It was all much appreciated!

Jim was amazing. He is such a fun guy. He picked up on the type of music selection we were going for and our guests immediately felt that the selectione was us. He always made sure our needs were met and always made sure we had a drink in our hand. I cannot say enough pleasant things about him, he truly made us feel special on our wedding day.

Working with Tiffany and Jim was a dream. Their communication is immediate, clear and concise, and they were extremely flexible and understanding when we had to push our 2020 wedding. Music was a big deal to us, so I had already put together Spotify playlists that I was able to send over to them, but I also didn’t think about/had an opinion on some parts of the day (like before the ceremony starts, or during dinner). Their checklists and questionnaires were really helpful for that, and I was able to say “hey I want these played” or “i trust you, dealer’s choice”. I knew we were in good hands when all our other vendors also made comments like “oh Ogle is your DJ? They’re AWESOME”. If they’re well-known and revered in the industry, that’s an immediate green flag. Jim called my wife and I before the big day and also made it clear that “next to [your] coordinator, I am your butler. Anything you need, I’ll get.”, and that call really made us feel like we’d be taken care of. Sure enough, Jim was the one running water and then cocktails to me and Mae all night! I was also aware that he was paying careful attention to volume for all our mics. Times during the ceremony when we’d falter, when our voices would get quieter, when we’d get more confident and louder, toasts where people would hold the mic close to their mouth or far down near their chest, it didn’t matter, we could hear everyone perfectly, at all times. That’s HARD to do! The photobooth was a hit, the props and backgrounds were wonderful and our guests had a great time, but what truly blew me out of the water was that I got an email about 40 minutes after our sendoff…and it was a dropbox folder of all the photobooth folders. Talk about turnaround! Last but not least - the dancefloor. Our crew gets down, so when the first hard transition into the bangers section of the night happened and everyone lost their mind, I think Jim understood the energy we were bringing, and continued to serve them up. No one left the dance floor the whole night. And the LIGHTS! I felt like I was at a rave, and it was exactly the vibe we wanted. We had a LOT of guests telling us how awesome and perfect the DJ was, and that meant a lot, considering the hype had been building for our dancefloor since 2020! I’m seriously considering just renting an event space and Ogle Entertainment again to throw a party, that’s how much fun we had on the dancefloor. Look. No. Further. 100% recommend.

I cannot say enough great things about Legacy Sound/DJ Sammy Scott that we hired as our DJ through Special Notes! We had debated having a DJ when we were initially planning for our 2020 wedding before our reschedule due to our small guest count - but even though we didn't have a big dancing crowd, hiring Sammy was one of the best decisions we made! From the initial booking, the timeline and song selection questionnaire he sends to you to fill out, his DJ and emcee skills and fun demeanor made a huge impact on our night! He was adaptable with a few last minute changes and also quickly made friends with my nephew/flower boy who then tore up the dance floor all night. Thank you so much!

Jim Ogle was the best DJ! Throughout all my conversations with him, I could tell he truly cared about making our day special. He kept our family and friends on the dance floor at the Magnolia! I would recommend him to everyone!!

We worked with Special Notes to book our DJ, Ogle Entertainment & our ceremony String Duo, Bryenton Duo. The music was wonderful and they worked with us throughout the process to understand the type of music we wanted at our wedding. Darren was our DJ and he kept the crowd engaged & was fun to work with! Helen & her husband made up our string duo and it was the perfect touch to our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour!

We Used Jim Ogle / Special Notes Entertainment to DJ and do the uplighting for our wedding and reception on December 30th 2019. He did an amazing job with the music selection. I was especially impressed with how he merged our eclectic musical selections in such a cohesive way. I would recommend him for any event requiring a DJ.

Do yourself a favor, and contact them ASAP to throw the best party of the year!!! We booked our band through Special Notes and were BLOWN AWAY! Book The Answer Band, and get ready to party all night long!! Who plays ACDC, Nelly, and "Brickhouse" all in the same set?! Dance floor was packed the whole night from ages 4 to 80. They were awesome!! The Answer Band knew how to engage the crowd, start a dance off, and host the BEST garter/bouquet toss I have ever been around! Special notes was great at listening to our requests and getting us set up with the right band, at the right cost for our budget! Could not be more thrilled with our experience & will definitely go through them for our events!

Jim Ogle was the DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception. He was WONDERFUL! He was so thoughtful and made sure that the whole night went smoothly. He checked in with us multiple times throughout the day (and the week before!) to make sure that we were happy with everything. Sammy was FANTASTIC on our wedding day! He was so helpful and was communicating with the other vendors to set up times for each event. He personalized the music list to play songs based on the guests and the time of day. Everything went off without a hitch thanks to him and we feel so lucky to have had him as our DJ! We used Ogle/Special Notes Entertainment for our ceremony and reception music at our wedding over Memorial Day weekend. My husband is very into music, so this was a very important part of the day for him. We got exactly what we wanted, and he was a happy camper. Josh, our DJ, was great! We were planning from afar, and Ogle made it very easy. We had a couple phone calls with Josh before the big day. He was very friendly and helpful, and I afterwards I knew we were all on the same page so there were no worries for the big day. Josh did a wonderful job with all aspects of the day - ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. Everything went off without a hitch and transitioned smoothly. He did a nice job of reading the crowd to pick the best song to play next. I certainly see why this group is so highly recommended in the Knoxville area!

While we were planning our wedding, we had a lot of different suggestions for vendors for this and that wedding detail. However, when it came to choosing a DJ, literally every professional and newlywed we talked to said that Special Notes was a must have. Jim Ogle met with me before the wedding, and put my mind at ease immediately. Not only was he a terrific DJ for both ceremony and reception music, but he checked with me throughout the night to make sure I was OK, that the timeline was going smoothly, and that I had a drink if I needed it!
