Retta was amazing. She responded to my inquiry almost immediately. She was so accommodating when we set up the initial meeting. She even met me on a Sunday so we could get going ...
on the planning. My son and his fiancé live in Florida so I was doing the planning and a little nervous about it. She put my mind at ease right from the start. She was so helpful. She had such wonderful ideas. Her prices were very reasonable which was important since we were on a tight budget. I didn't give her much time to work with, but she came through. She did a wonderful job making the venue a gorgeous setting for a wedding ceremony. I would highly recommend her for any special occasion.
Retta is absolutely fabulous to work with. Her communication skills are great, the response time to questions is very quick. She is adaptable, willing to give suggestions, but no...
t at all "pushy." Her prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend her.
Special Occasions did our wedding this past May and it was unbelievable beautiful! Her staff went above and beyond what I ever would of imagined. It was a magical day all around.
Retta did a fantastic job! She was very helpful and has a very creative eye for decor. She not only did everything I asked but went above and beyond to make my wedding day extra sp...

As soon as I met with Special Occasions I knew they were who I wanted to help me plan my wedding! Retta and her team pay attention to even the small details, wanting your wedding t...
o be a huge success! So came the big day, it was so beautiful.Just how I had pictured it to look.At the reception I had guests come up to me all night and say how wonderful everything looked, that this is going to be a hard wedding to beat. I am very grateful to Special Occasions for making my special day better than I had ever hoped for!
Retta did not decorate half of what we asked her to, AND what had already been paid for. She has a very poor eye for decor, is not efficient with getting back to the client, and f...
rankly, is a liar. She lied to my mother and others when confronted about the decor, stating that I told her it was beautiful.
When I walked into my reception, I was in shock, and not the good kind of "omg this looks beautiful" shock, but the "omg, where are my decorations" kind... I wan't going to not let it ruin my day so I continued to smile while greeting my guests, all the while I'm noticing all the things that weren't done, and the barren tables without decorations. 80% of the decorations were bought by me, most of which stayed in their boxes. There were various areas that had no decorations, and other areas that had half of what we had discussed. For what was completed, and how it looked, I could have paid a homeless blind man, $50, it would have looked better.
ADVICE TO BRIDES: Make sure EVERY LITTLE DETAIL is in the contract, and when your vendor keeps brushing off the many times you ask them to include that information, IT'S A RED FLAG! Don't hire them.. run fast, and run far from them....
