I could go on for hours about how amazing my experience was with Spera Special Events. Mary made the daunting task of planning a destination wedding in New Orleans feel seamless. I was really overwhelmed when I first started the process, and from my first meeting, she made me feel at ease. We wanted a really fun wedding that incorporated elements of our respective cultures while also feeling modern. Mary took the prompt and ran with it. She found vendors that fit our vibe and budget and often presented us with creative ideas to make our event even better and more unique. Our wedding was multi-cultural, and as such, there were some particular needs that needed to be met, from the way the ceremony was conducted to the dietary restrictions. Mary went above and beyond advocating for us and researching our customs to pull off a fantastic event. She's communicative and direct and would always check in to see how we felt about everything. Not only that, but she made our day of experience absolutely phenomenal. We had a huge wedding party and vendors that she hadn't worked with before, and lots of emotions arose; there were tons of moving pieces happening that she managed with such efficiency. I felt completely at ease knowing that if anything came up, she was on it, and I could relax and enjoy the day. Thank you so so much, Mary and Spera Special Events, for pulling off such a gorgeous event. Everything was perfect, and I'm still on cloud nine thinking about that day!
Mary absolutely rocks! With a hurricane headed right at the wedding we originally planned together, she kept us calm and alleviated all of our concerns... She even helped us with a backup plan before we were able to carry through with our original plans after the storm passed. The wedding that we pulled off together exceeded even our highest expectations and was more enjoyable and beautiful and we could’ve even hope for...We would recommend Mary highly to anyone who is considering having her plan the most fun day of their lives.
Mary Spera and her team are rock stars. I read the raving reviews about her wedding planning and I was impressed, but I was planning a smaller, less formal event. Mary approached my husband's destination 60th birthday party with the same passion and eagerness as if she were planning a grand wedding. She is a super listener and she customized every aspect to fit our wishes and budget. I suspect there were some snafus the day of the event, but here's the question. If a snafu occurs and it is solved before the hostess knows, is it actually a snafu? Mary is so creative and several of the "extras" she suggested were what our guests raved about. It was so much fun! I highly recommend her!
Mary Spera was SO wonderful to work with. She played such an important role for us during our wedding and she handled everything seamlessly. Mary has years of experience working in the industry in New Orleans, which was such a huge benefit to us. It was evident with how well she worked with our vendors, how prepared and organized she was - she was ready for anything. She was fantastic guiding us through the process, answering millions of questions, and giving advice when needed as if she were a long time friend. I could not recommend Mary enough! She's truly the best.
Mary is simply “ the BEST!” She was the first person I hired and that was our smartest decision! Planning a wedding from a far is not easy, but Mary’s connection with vendors and her knowledge of New Orleans made her invaluable. She took care of the details that made it all seem flawless on the wedding day. I thoroughly enjoyed my daughter’s wedding as did she and everyone else. That alone is priceless! I would hire Mary again without a moment’s hesitation. I can not recommend her enough!
Mary is the best! She took the ideas in our heads and made them a reality, checking with us the whole way to make sure it matched. Being in another state, she seamlessly (or at least made it feel that way) helped us make decisions and was our eyes and ears on the ground whenever needed. She thought of EVERYTHING and it ended up being the best day ever! Our friends and family still, two years later, talk about how much fun was had and how beautiful our special day was. Highly, highly recommend this company!!!
She is AMAZING!!!!! I am a type A personality and never give up control but Mary was not only on top of her game but I trusted her with everything! The day was truly perfect from start to finish. The only bad thing about it is when it was over I hated to say goodbye! Cant wait for the next big event I have in life so I can hire her again!
