We were even able to access his depth of wedding experience to inform some decisions not even related to music or sound, such as how to corral family for group photos after the ceremony. As for the music, he hit it out of the park. We came up with playlists ahead of time and Dave gave us guidance on what energy works best for different stages of a wedding. He read the room when choosing what to play next, and played every one of our "must hear" songs during a fairly short reception (we were up dancing the whole time, which isn't the norm for us!) Some bonuses that we enjoyed were the elegant customized sign with our names, and subtle uplighting to enhance the space. We could not recommend Spin Doctor more!

He went above and beyond at the wedding checking in with us multiple times during the night to make sure we were happy with the songs that he played from our list and the vibe of the party and to make sure he didn't miss any of our Must-Play songs. He was super fun during the whole reception and even kept the mood high during the cultural music that we had him play. We played a handful of Greek and Brazilian songs to celebrate our cultures and Dave transitioned from our playlist to the cultural songs and back seamlessly. All of our guests raved about our wedding and the music was definitely one of the bigger contributions to that. The dance floor was packed nearly length of the reception because the mood and music were so great. Some more highlights include the uplighting that we got with Dave and also our names on his new DJ booth was an awesome touch. We also have friends getting married next year that hired Dave based on our recommendations.

reface this review by saying as a couple, we are picky and very attached in the way we wanted and planned things. Some of the timing, songs, intro's etc. were out of the ordinary and Dave just rolled with all of it. With all the different things we had going on I felt like we were gonna be difficult or overwhelming and it just seemed like everything we threw at him was kosher. Nothing seemed too much or "no we cant do that". The guy literally works to make your day "your day". Commands the room if he needs to for announcements or what's coming next, coordinated with all appropriate staff throughout the day, NEVER got lost or misplaced throughout the evening/night, was always around for me to find him if he wasn't posted at the DJ station. He must've come up to me 5-6 times to make sure everything was going perfect. Had a great playlist which catered to both the younger and older crowd at the wedding. I got comments left and right all night about the song choices.. the vibe, transition to other songs, etc. Dance floor was boomin! Now, there's doing your job and then there's going the extra mile. Throughout the night we had shuttle issues which ended up peaking when my wife and I were 2 of about 7 people left at the venue.. about a 30-40 minute wait time until the shuttle could come back and our whole wedding party was back at the hotel waiting for us for post wedding celebrations. We stayed to help pick up, organize, tip staff and clean up. Dave was packed and ready to go and could've split with no hesitation and I don't think anybody would have thought any differently about it.. but instead, he offered to bring us to the hotel at 12:20 a.m. He drove us 20 minutes out of the way and made sure we got in to our hotel. Didn't have to do that.. This review was getting written the same with or without that act.. but the fact he did that literally makes me feel like there was 1 right choice for DJ that day and I made the correct one. Absolutely blown away by this guy. Would highly and confidently recommend him for your day.

He really thought of everything in the lead up to the wedding and on the day of; he coached our toast-givers and our officiant on the day of about what they needed to do and where they needed to stand. He collaborated seamlessly with our other vendors and was attentive to our preferences as a couple in the moment (i.e. nixing the slow dance sets last minute at our request). Ahead of the day he was just as communicative and collaborative, making helpful suggestions that we are so glad we took. We cannot recommend him highly enough. If you want a very fun wedding and easy planning process, he's the DJ for you!

During the walk thru he asked questions that were beyond his scope (how will your bus fit through the driveway, etc.) that were so helpful in foreseeing some issues we could have run into on the wedding day. Dave's experience in the wedding industry shines and is invaluable for any couple in the midst of planning and executing a wedding. Dave went above and beyond with communication throughout the planning process and such an asset to our wedding day. We cannot say thank you enough!!

He is also very flexible with payments, you can do a payment plan for his services and pay him in various ways! Dave is not just your regular DJ either, he offers things that you wouldn’t even imagine. He has up lighting, games, and our personal favorite, photo booths. We were surprised with a signed photo book with every picture that was taken that night. We had access to our own website where we picked over 200 songs, and the timeline of our wedding. The website was very user friendly and he goes over everything with you on your final meeting. Dave was the best fit for our wedding! From transitioning the event to playing the right songs at the right time, he did a perfect job all night. To bring multiple families together and see everyone dancing with each other, is something I will remember forever! Coordinating with Dave was smooth and easy during this time. 2) When we had our planning meeting ahead of the wedding, it was one of the first times I truly started getting excited for the upcoming event. Dave brought so much energy, and talking through the night with him made me feel great. 3) We didn't bring much of a set list to Dave, which worked in our favor. He knew exactly what to do to get our guests out of their seats. We did have a few special requests, and he worked them into the line up magically and meaningfully! 4) The night ended with a surprise "bonus" song, and Dave even worked with the venue to switch the uplighting for this last song. All of this changed the effect and energy on the dance floor, and we ended on a huge high note! Throughout the night Dave checked in with us to make sure everything was the way we wanted it. Once we decided to pick Spin Doctor as our DJ, Dave shared the link to his very detailed online forms to help us make all the decisions from ceremony music to timing of first dances, etc. He even provided some custom cut downs of songs for the father-daughter and mother-son dances. Dave understood the vibe we were going for throughout the night and would check in with us about timing of things and how we were feeling overall. Dave worked really well with our other vendors and works so closely with the venue so we used Spin Doctors for our overhead string lighting and fabric draping which all looked beautiful. A few weeks before the wedding we went over our final music choices in another zoom meeting and Dave suggested a new game he was starting to see where he would play a song and the bride and groom would run around and take a picture with every table before the song was over. This ended up being the highlight of the night and each table took very fun and silly pictures as we ran around the room and then we ended with a giant group picture in the middle of the dance floor. I'm so glad Dave brought up new trends he was seeing as a popular wedding DJ. I absolutely recommend Dave and Spin Doctor Entertainment for all your wedding or large event needs.

The music was top notch - almost every demographic of our guests were on the dance floor. Older folks, younger folks, groups that have never met before were dancing and singing together at all different genres of music. Most of the party was dancing within 15 minutes of getting into the reception and it never felt forced. There was always at least several groups on the dancefloor throughout the night. The photobooth was also a hit for all groups and provided a nice but fun outlet if you wanted to take a quick break from dancing. Dave also helped prep our officiant since it was his first time, and helped us know what to expect for our grand entrance, ceremony processional, timing, etc since those can always be a little awkward if you don't know what you're doing. Lastly, Dave's custom cut songs were AMAZING; I truly was blown away when I heard them for the first time. You know when it's a mediocre wedding your guests will just say "beautiful wedding"... our guests are still texting us to say specific details that they loved, most of which are specific to Dave as his services truly helped to bring our dream wedding to life.
