sed when we first chatted with DJ Lou, he was endearing, informative, helpful, and overall just a great guy. Even when Spinners paperwork said just 20 must play songs, and I told him I took my super long list down to 30 sorry about that - he said oh just send them all! And the night of our wedding nearly 90% of the songs he played was from my list of favorites in the most PERFECT quick mix style and order, flowing from one song to another. We had a DJ for our reception, added an extra hour, added the ceremony, the magic mirror, and the Sax and Drums for our reception. It was EPIC. The drummer was so nice and asked my groom and I to drum for a bit, what a time. And the Sax was hysterical, got in the middle of the dance floor and had the best time. I've been to A LOT of weddings, and I am so pleased to say the best wedding DJ I've seen was at my own wedding. When people bring up the wedding to my husband and I, they often say the same few things, they've never seen the dance floor so packed, the DJ was amazing, and the Sax & Drummer were so so cool. The only negatives I have are, I asked DJ Lou for 2 announcements to be made that night and neither were, and maybe it was because it was loud for him to hear me. And how many times Spinners emailed me asking to write a review just days after my wedding. Within a mont of my wedding I swear they emailed me 6 times, I was on my honeymoon and back at work, it was a bit much. But Spinners and DJ Lou were one of the best bookings we made and we're so incredibly happy with them.

MCing was superb and the added live music touch of his percussionist and saxophone player duo who played along to the music was just simply amazing. DJ Lou smith not only made our wedding so much fun, but he was great from the start being so easy to work with, professional and accommodating. I couldn’t recommend DJ Lou Smith more for a guaranteed fun and fabulous dance party!

From the moment they appeared at our daughter’s wedding (with Nicole immediately reminding everyone of the best of Daisy Jones), they were gracious, cheerful, accommodating, patient, and brilliant musicians. It is no mistake that everyone loves these guys, and we enjoyed their work so much, we’re trying to come up with another event idea to have them back. We could go on and on, but since so many others have given this team five stars, we’ll simply say we can’t imagine having found anyone anywhere who would have been a better fit for our day. Just the best!

so many people were paying compliments to me about him and even after the wedding people said that this was the best DJ they have seen in years. He played music that kept everyone dancing and listened to our requests. During soundcheck he played baby shark for my nephew and he loved that! Nicco was a truly awesome guy and we were so lucky to have him on our wedding day.

ANNOT SAY ENOUGH AMAZING THINGS ABOUT OWLS AND LIONS. They were easily the most complimented portion of our wedding. They are so incredibly talented, they perform a large variety of music, and they were relatively affordable for live music and all of the talent they brought! They were so great to work with, incredibly attentive and seriously was one of the highlights of my wedding. They even learned our first dance song and were able to sing it live for us! Something really special about them was they are a band/DJ combo. So when they’re not singing live, Jay, one of the singers, is the DJ, while the instrumentalists play along with the music! I seriously encourage everybody to go check out their videos, it is amazing to watch them perform and it was a gift to have them as our band.

We also rented a photo booth, which was a fun experience for everyone, and they managed to exactly match the print outs from the booth to our wedding invitations!! We would HIGHLY recommend Spinners Entertainment; we cannot stress enough what an amazing job Jay and his team did.

After two postponements due to COVID, what started as Owls and Lions for the ceremony + cocktail hour and a DJ for the reception quickly morphed into Owls and Lions for ceremony + cocktail hour and the full band/DJ hybrid for the reception. All I can say is, no regrets! We LOVED having live music and our guests had a blast! I knew we’d have some dedicated dancers in our crowd, but a good bit of observers too. A band was an excellent way to get the dancers up and dancing and allow the observers to sit back and enjoy the show. Jay was great with communication leading up to our event and the night of he was sure to check in with us periodically to make sure we were happy with the vibe or if there was anything they could do differently to ensure we were having the best time. My husband and I aren’t huge dancers, so we were happy to join in part of the time, observe some of the time and mingle with guests at others. Owls and Lions performed beautiful acoustic music with guitar and violin during the ceremony + cocktail hour and guests said their energy really added to the good vibes of the night. By the end of the reception so many guests were out on the dance floor singing and enjoying themselves. The band played Stand By Me right at the end of the night and all our guests circled up together and sang at the top of their lungs, definitely a moment we will always remember!

We worked with him throughout the pandemic (postponing our wedding multiple times) and he did everything he could to put us at ease and accommodate our date changes. Coming from someone who has been to too many weddings, I truly believe the music is the most important part and it makes such an impact on whether guests have a good time or not. Owls and Lions played during our cocktail hour and the first half of our reception and then Jay switched it up to DJ mode for the rest of the night- this was the perfect combination! He also made sure to get everyone on the dance floor at one point for a group photo which was awesome (and the photo came out great)! Owls and Lions was hands down the best choice we made when it comes to our wedding. So many of our guests commented during and after our wedding about how talented the band was and how much fun they had (thanks to the great music)! As the bride, I am so happy to reflect on our wedding day knowing that all of our guests had a great time and thankful that I was able to dance the night away (I think I only left the dance floor once to eat)! Thank you Jay and Owls and Lions for making our wedding INCREDIBLE- it would not have been the same without your talent.

plan a wedding it can be stressful to begin with but Jay makes it that much less stressful from the get go. He was in constant communication leading up the wedding and the day of are a testament to his professionalism. What I can say is that the music will not disappoint either. From the ceremony all the way through the evening Owls and Lions has everyone on their feet. They played everything perfect and made the evening unforgettable. Almost 9 months post wedding everyone still talks about the band. That says something about them. I love these guys and continue to try to find ways to get them to perform again.

DJ for the reception, playing dance music to get people moving. Jay, Nicole and Chris are fantastic musicians/singers/DJs, very professional and extremely easy to work with. They could really read a room and seemed to know exactly the right song to play at the right time to keep the party going.
