Our wedding day was absolutely gorgeous and went so smoothly. I was hesitant at first about the venue having two wedding ceremonies and receptions in one day, but we didn't even know the other wedding was there. I would highly recommend Spirit Mountain for your one stop ceremony and reception venue.

ive locally, Spirit Mountain was my top choice! I cannot say enough about how amazing our entire experience was! Dorothy, the event coordinator is a literal angel. She answered all of my questions (there were a lot) and made the entire planning process so fun and stress free! The facilities were absolutely stunning, and the view speaks for itself! We used their ceremony space and were able to utilize a GORGEOUS arch that we had decorated. The staff there are truly outstanding and I am so happy we chose this venue! If you are thinking of getting married in Duluth, Spirit is your best option hands down!

le. Although we were hoping for an outside wedding, the weather did not cooperate, but it was amazingly beautiful indoors and it kept all of our guests dry and warm. We hosted the rehearsal dinner at Spirit as well, which was very nice for us to just stay right there after the ceremony run through, having the whole bar to ourselves for the night. For our wedding day, we chose the lasagna and that was an absolute hit from our guests, then pizza at the end of the night!! Spirit happily accommodated our live band that we hired for the reception, as well as live music played by family and friends during the ceremony. When planning your wedding here, I would make sure to either have a crew helping set up/tear down or hiring help because it gets to be a lot the day of, and we did have a few (minor) things go missing after the night that seem like were thrown away. I would also note that we chose to rent a dance floor because the Bearpaw room does not have one available. Overall, I would 100% recommend Spirit Mountain to anyone planning their wedding. We would book them over and over again!

(20 minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start). Their coordinator, Dorothy, was wonderful, helpful, and a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process and on the day of the wedding, the staff was very pleasant and helpful! Would highly recommend for a beautiful outdoor/ indoor wedding and reception!

Everyone talked about how unique and elegant the Moosehead room was and the food was phenomenal. We were lucky to have had a beautiful day for our ceremony to be outside on the wedding deck. If I could do it all over again, I would!!! We highly recommend Spirit Mountain!

ORGEOUS. I can't sing the praises of this wedding venue enough. My favorite part was that they covered all food, alcohol, and event coordination. It was a seamless process and didn't require going through many different vendors. Also, it was a little nerve wracking being a gay couple getting married - you always worry about awkward reactions, the assumption of having a bride, etc...this venue was perfect. Never once did we feel uncomfortable.

The food was delicious and they had a great vegetarian option. I really can't say enough good things about our experience with Spirit, it was perfect. We had our ceremony at Enger and a thunderstorm rolled through, and someone from Spirit called and offered to have us come early and hold our ceremony indoors. We ended up having the ceremony at Enger with pouring rain (it was very romantic) but just knowing they were thinking of us and were so accommodating was a wonderful feeling. Choose Spirit Mountain for your venue, you will love it!

DELICIOUS, competitively priced compared to other Duluth caterers, and beautifully presented. The cost of the venue itself was the best we found in all of Duluth and included everything we needed. No extra charges for reception tables, chairs, or linens. We only had to pay for the ceremony chair rental. Nancy Waters was great, but she's super busy and a little hard to get a hold of at first. Don't give up! Ask for her cell phone because she always has it on her and picks up almost every time. I thought it would be weird having another couple getting married that same day there, but it was actually kind of fun! We didn't see them hardly at all (only from a distance during photos), and it was great to see someone else having just as great a time as us. Get married at Spirit! You won't regret it!

Due to changes in staff, we did switch wedding coordinators three times throughout the process, which was a little frustrating since we had to re-communicate everything, but Nancy and Heidi were great about making sure they had all the info they needed! The Bear Paw was wonderful for our reception and we received so many compliments about the room and the view!

The attention from the staff was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process, and I feel so fortunate to have had such wonderful people to work with. Everything was personalized and they had all the i's dotted and t's crossed so we didn't really have anything to worry about besides decorating! The food was also TO DIE FOR, and the chef(s) and serving staff really put a TON of effort into making it look and taste AMAZING! I highly recommend Spirit Mountain for anyone looking for a more rustic/natural/scenic wedding venue! :)

The rental fees were the most affordable I could find in the Duluth area and the food and alcohol were priced appropriately for our location. The morning of the wedding the ceremony chairs and reception tables/chairs were all set-up exactly how I told Nancy and was quite pleased with their ability to fulfill my vision. The food was delicious and all of my guests were raving about it. My only complaint would be that we were NEVER told we would have to pay over $6000 on the spot immediately when the reception ended; we had been told an invoice would be put together and we would be billed following the reception, apparently that meant IMMEDIATELY after the ceremony, I'm talking 5 minutes after the music ended, staff was hounding my parents for the money.

Spirit Mountain is a very popular place to get married in Duluth, and so it was very hard to get a date for our wedding less than a year out, which is the only negative to the place. I would recommend getting the Mountain Villas for the wedding party to stay in too.

hey fell in LOVE with the view! You can not get married anywhere else in Duluth and get that view! We got married on the deck outside in September and it was perfect :) Another thing our guests were very impressed with was the FOOD! We had chicken chateau and carved beef and it was so good!! If you want to get married in the outdoors with the most amazing backdrop Spirit Mountain is the choice for you! We rented the bear baw chalet and it was plenty of space for 200 people. Spirit Mountain countinued to surprise with all the help they offered! Many of our friends have told us this was the BEST WEDDING EVER!!

a few minor changes that needed to be done at the last second, which were items they had gotten wrong or just forgotten to mention to me, but the changes went off without a hitch at the end. The view was absolutley amazing. The food was great, exactly what I wanted. The outside venue was excellent. Some of the exterior looks a bit run down, but the inside has a nice rustic feel. What you are getting is well worth the price. I felt I got an excellent deal and would have expected to pay more for what I got in the location.

about my wedding as if it were her own but she did not bother me with constant phone calls or anything like that. The food was better than amazing and cheap. There were huge windows all around the room that showed the whole city of Duluth since the lodge is on a ski hill. I also liked the rustic cabin feel to the whole building. It was really easy to work with the site manger and she was flexible when it came to when we could decorate and such. Five stars!!;One thing I would warn a bride-to-be about is that the room I was personally in (Moosehead there are two other rooms that can be rented as well) was the smallest but the most affordable. We had around 120 guests and were kind of cramped. It worked but we had to take down some of the guests' tables to make room and set up for the dance.
