Beautiful scenery, highly accommadating, and worked very diligently to overcome obstacles, like rain!!! They're also very pleasant people to work and plan with. They love you and keep up with you even long after your wedding. The venue itself is gorgeous. Modernized, yet rustic and "mountainy." Highly highly recommend!

Best day of our lives and it rained! And it rained and rained all day long! But we wouldn’t change a thing. Chevin and Steve are your dream coordinators, and the venue is top notch! 10 out of 10 would get married here again!

As soon as we arrived at Splendor Mountain and met with Chevin, I knew we would not be looking at any other wedding venues and that Splendor Mountain was our venue. Besides the awesome mountain views, I liked that we were able to choose what type of wedding weekend we wanted. We were able to have the property for the weekend to enjoy with family and friends where the focus was on our wedding only. At other venues there are other activities going on at the same time as your wedding, so certain things may not be available. At Splendor Mountain it was all about us and we didn't have to worry about bothering other events that may be happening at that venue. It also has two huge cabins on the property where we were able to have our family stay on the property. I highly recommend Splendor Mountain.

From the moment we drove onto the property of Splendor Mountain, I knew it would be our wedding venue. From the first meeting with Chevin to our wedding day she was very helpful in any way to help us have our dream wedding. One of the many things I loved about Splendor Mountain is we were able to have our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all on the property but at different sites on the beautiful property. If you are looking for a rustic mountain wedding, then Splendor Mountain is the place.

We were so grateful to be able to host our daughter's wedding weekend at beautiful Splendor Mountain. The views from Providence Garden provided a naturally stunning mountain setting for pictures for her January wedding. The two guest cabins were perfect for the wedding party to be able to spend the night at the venue, and the rooms, porches, and outside made a lovely background for photos and video as the wedding party got ready for the ceremony. Special friends hosted a brunch for the bride and bridesmaids in the girls' cabin on the morning of the wedding. They were able to pull away for a time of fellowship and a delicious meal without leaving the cabin, and the girls had ample space for dining as well as having their hair and makeup done. The lights, windows and natural wood at Sunrise Lodge provided a lovely setting for dinner, dancing, and joyful celebration at the reception. Chevin, the venue owner, went to great lengths to ensure the venue was ready for the wedding weekend, and she worked with our wedding coordinator as we made arrangements for a tent to extend the space and other accommodations needed for a winter wedding. She was gracious from the first time we met when we visited the venue. Chevin and her vision for Splendor Mountain were a blessing to us, and we now have wonderful memories of a beautiful wedding for our precious daughter and son-in-law.

Splendor Mountain is a one of a kind wedding venue. My sister was married there in 2005 and we were able to create a whole weekend of festivities. We utilized every beautiful spot on the property from a Mexican themed rehearsal dinner at Shadow Rock Pavilion, wedding vows in the beautiful Providence Garden, dancing and elegant reception at Sunrise Lodge, wrapping up the wedding weekend with a beautiful brunch! We were able to house the Bride's wedding party in the Sapphire Cabin and the Groom's wedding party in the Ruby Cabin, allowing for close proximity and a great time. Chevin, the owner of Splendor Mountain, is a truly gracious hostess with a heart for weddings. She will make sure whatever vision the wedding couple have will come to full fruition, even if she has to do it herself! The whole experience was so amazing, I am hoping my sister will do a renewal of vows there so we can relive it again!!

Splendor Mountain is such a peaceful and beautiful place! Our company chose to have our Christmas gathering there. It was such a great event and was enjoyed by all in attendance. Splendor Mountain is perfect for weddings but also for any special event. Once you've been there you can't wait to return. The owners are fantastic and so welcoming. If I could have chosen six stars I definitely would have!

We absolutely loved Chevin, Steve, and the entire Splendor Mountain experience. The property is beautiful and the lodgings were so comfortable for our families and friends. My favorite venue was the Shadow Rock Pavilion, where we held our rehearsal dinner- it is nestled down in the woods and you can hear the trickle of a waterfall in the background. There are two big maples on either side of the entrance that really set it off in the fall. The honeymoon suite, located at the Pavilion, is a peaceful slice of solitude away from the hustle and bustle of the party. The Sunset Lodge is a great place for those who love to be surrounded by the outdoors, with its big wall-to-wall windows and wrap-around porch. The historic bar and the floor-to-ceiling fireplace add the perfect touch of comfort. Chevin and Steve are so wonderful to work with as well. We feel so blessed to have shared such a special time in our lives with them. They were so accommodating, understanding, and a source of calm through all of the busy preparations. We cannot imagine a better place to remember our wedding by. We loved every minute of it.

The setting was gorgeous, with mountains providing the backdrop for the ceremony. To be able to house the wedding party in the same location as the rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception allowed all of us to fully enjoy the wedding and events leading up to it. Another huge advantage was that the guests were able to head right to the reception immediately following the ceremony thanks to the "all-inclusive" nature of the wedding venue. The wedding pictures were simply amazing! The venue provided a multitude of natural backdrops for pictures including mountains, an adorable wood cottage, a lake, and even a canoe. There were very few decorations necessary due to the natural beauty of the woods and structures on the property. Providence Garden is a natural setting with mountains in the background, a subtle, quaint, rustic fence outlining the front of the site, an iron wedding arbor that is beautiful on its own or can be decked out with greenery and/or flowers and plenty of room for wedding guests. Sunrise Lodge is pine with a beautiful stone fireplace and gorgeous bar, perfect for a night of dancing and celebrating. The rehearsal dinner was at Shadow Rock Pavilion, tucked in the woods with a large patio, hanging patio lights and the ambient sound of the waterfall. There is no doubt that this wedding venue is one of the most spectacular sites in Georgia.

My husband and I got married at Splendor Mountain, and it was incredible! Steve and Chevin were the perfect balance of being attentive to our needs and making sure we were comfortable, but also giving us the space and privacy to really have time alone. We had a small ceremony with only 5 guests and arrived without seeing the property beforehand. I was a little nervous doing this, but I didn't need to be! It was even more beautiful than the pictures. There were 5 different places that we debated having our ceremony-all naturally beautiful. We ended up going with lookout point and it was perfect. We stayed in the honeymoon loft, and it was great. It is cozy and romantic and has everything you need. We spent our evenings by the fireplace outside, and felt completely relaxed. We left our two days incredibly thankful for finding this gem. We are already planning to go back in the future for anniversaries. We highly recommend this place!!

Chevin, Owner/Operator of Splendor Mountain, is an absolute blessing. I recently had a wedding almost completely planned and completed with another wedding vendor--custom napkins, favors, etc., then all of a sudden he became completely unresponsive and unbearable to work with. One thing led to another, and he cancelled my entire wedding without even consulting me. Just an email. I was devastated! All the time, energy, and money, all long gone. As you can imagine, I lost hope, I was discouraged, and now had an even lower budget, due to the unforeseen circumstances, to try to plan my once in a lifetime, dream wedding. I took a leap of faith and contacted Chevin after searching for a new venue for days. I was still a bit hesitant because of what had happened before and thought about even just eloping. When I met with Chevin and Steve on their property, they welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like I was at home. I knew right then that it was meant to be and everything happened for a reason. God had a vision for me that I didn't even know was possible. Not only did the owners of Splendor Mountain step up and help me out when they didn't have to, Chevin was very accommodating to any of our needs, very responsive with all of her communication, and is now making my dream come true. Splendor Mountain has exceeded all of my expectations and then some! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous!!! You can look at all the photos on the internet and they just don't do this property any justice--It is a must see! On top of that, Splendor Mountain's landscape is equipped to give you a multitude of options for your dream day, all of which, you can customize to your liking. The only disappointment that I have thus far, is that The Knot does not give me enough stars to rate this beautiful venue and lovely staff! Chevin--If you're reading this, thank you so very much for making my dream come true and helping me create a day even greater than I ever thought possible! God has blessed me in more ways than one and I am so thankful!

While my Husband was deployed, I was planning our wedding from Florida. We knew we wanted a beautiful mountain backdrop for our ceremony so google became my best friend. It didn’t take long before I found Splendor Mountain. The photos were gorgeous so I contacted the owner. That’s when I “met” Chevin. That first conversation over the phone sealed the deal for us. She was so genuinely sweet, thoughtful of our wants and needs, and truly had our best interest at heart. She was a God sent! The process was super easy, even from a state away and once we got to the venue, our expectations were exceeded. Our families stayed along with us on the grounds for the weekend and Chevin was there every step of the way to ensure that our wedding weekend was perfect. 5 stars and more for Splendor Mountain.

Splendor Mountain was the perfect venue for our all of our wedding festivities! Coming from out of town, our wedding party enjoyed the lake on Friday and loved that they could stay on the venue after they arrived! I also loved being able to use the venue for our rehearsal dinner down by the waterfall! The wedding day was absolutely perfect and our pictures with the mountain background turned out beautifully! Chevin was always easy and nice to work with throughout the entire planning process! We loved our Splendor Mountain wedding!!

This is seriously the most beautiful venue, and it has everything! The little bridal suite to stow away in before the ceremony, beautiful ceremony site with amazing views, quick walk down the hill to the gorgeous rustic lodge for our reception! We opted for the extras (honeymoon suite, cottage rentals for bridal party/family) and we HIGHLY recommend! It was an unforgettable weekend!

Thank you Chevin and Steve for helping to make our special day so wonderful! When it was necessary to postpone our wedding from the original date due to unexpected illness, the challenge was much easier to deal with when we received so much support from the staff of Splendor Mountain. When our day finally arrived, Chevin and Steve they were still very supportive of us. Everything was set up just as we had requested, including the fire in the fireplace! Shadow Rock Pavilion was a perfect location for us!

The venue itself was beautiful. However, the experience with the owners was not worth the view. I would never recommend doing business with this vendor as our experience from the initial encounter was not what was promised and from the minute we got there it was one issue after the next with them. They added extra and unnecessary stress to the wedding party as well as guests. The pictures with the background were beautiful, but overall we were very disappointed.

My husband and I got married at Splendor Mountain last weekend and it was a wonderful experience. Chevin and Steve took the time to make the experience very personal and special. Their property is very beautiful and offers great mountain views for pictures. The cottages are large enough to accommodate your wedding party and they are just absolutely adorable. We had such a great experience at Splendor Mountain that we will never forget.

This was the first place my husband and I visited and we knew right away this was the place for us when met the owners, Chevin and Steve. Splendor mountain is absolutely beautiful but it was BECAUSE of the Chevin and Steve that we decided to hold our wedding at Splendor Mountain. They were so helpful throughout the entire process. Emails were flying as the Big Day approached. Chevin answered each one no matter how crazy I sounded and always offered suggestions and options. She was there to help with the small details that I had forgotten about. They worked so hard to make our Day so special; everything we wanted it to be! My immediate family flew up for the wedding and stayed in the two cabins on the property, Ruby and Sapphire. They LOVED their accommodations! Chevin and Steve made them feel right at home. There is not enough room here for me to fit all the compliments I have for Chevin and her venue, Splendor Mountain!! I was googling "mountains + cabins + wedding" and Splendor came up. I thought wow it's gorgeous and has just what we want - a destination wedding where the family can come up a few days before and make it a vacation. And - paying for the site plus having the entire place to ourselves from Wednesday till Sunday was less expensive than the cost of most outdoor venues in our home town area. As soon as I started emailing Chevin I felt like I made a friend. We drove up immediately to check the place out. Gorgeous outside ceremony site, amazing big reception cabin, 2 big cabins for family and a pavilion with a honeymoon suite where we could escape! We signed and gave a deposit right there. Knowing we lived far away, Chevin offered for us to come back and stay for free for our engagement pictures. We did come back a few months later for photos and enjoyed it so much we didn't want to go home. I ended up going up once more before the wedding and every time Chevin and her husband Steve were just wonderful and helpful. By the time the wedding came around they felt like old friends. The day of the wedding it rained so we had to change our plans and they were very accommodating. Chevin is an ordained minister and performed our ceremony for us. She even made a liquor run when our families drank more than we expected before dinner was even over! If you are looking for an outdoor venue with amazing mountain views and cabins, you have to check this place out. We LOVED IT.
