photographers with very different price points but those meetings and conversations never lead us to someone we just "clicked" with; until we met Kyla. My wife and I met her at the Bridal Bazaar and as soon as we got to talking, we instantly knew that she was the one for us. She was so bubbly and personable and her portfolio is just to die for!!
We ended up winning an engagement shoot with Kyla and as soon as we started shooting we knew we were going to book her. Kyla made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and as soon as we saw the pictures we knew we were in love.
While the price was a bit more than what we were looking to pay, we knew we would move some things around to make it work for our big day because photography was the single biggest aspect for us.
On the day of, Kyla and her assistant showed up early and immediately got to work. Our second photographer, Christina, was on time and we totally lucked out to have 2 lead photographers capture our day. All these ladies were AMAZING! We absolutely have no regrets in hiring Kyla.

erned that this was a Bridal scam to get more of my information. However, IT WAS NOT! This is totally legitimate, after they contact you via phone or email they send you your photography voucher in the mail to register online and book your appointment. After booking my appointment with Valerie (WHO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BECAUSE SHE IS AMAZING) at Sunset Cliffs (Natural Park) in Point Loma I am totally sold on this company. Valerie contacted us via text on where to meet and what to wear. She was super friendly, nice, fun and we felt very comfortable with her taking our photographs. At sunset, we captured beautiful pictures with various backdrops and intimate poses. About 2 weeks after the shoot I received a call from Spotlight Studios in Rosecrans that our viewing session was ready to be scheduled. We went to see the photographs with Kyla helping us out and were blown away by the professionalism, appearance, and outcome of the studio and photographs. Even with the all-paid package that I won, I ended up purchasing all of the photos (digital) for my family. The prize also came with your choice of a professionally printed 10"x14" image that can be framed. Overall I highly recommend Spotlight Studios, Valerie, Kyla and everyone else who works there. I plan on using Spotlight Studios for my wedding and couldn't be more pleased with the service!

lled to inquire about it, and was upfront about already having a wedding photographer, I was still treated very friendly and courteously. Kyla did our engagement shoot in Del Mar, and the photos are absolutely beautiful. Kyla is fabulous to work with; cheerful, funny and so informative. She gave my fiance tons of good tips for posing in pictures and went through her checklist of important notes every bride should remember for her bridal photos. We shot in 4 different areas down by the beach, so we have multiple back drops in our photos, and she even helped us incorporate our fur baby into the shoot. Their studio is lovely, and they have a lovely set-up for viewing the photos. Again, there was zero pressure to purchase anything, however, there were so many good pictures that we ended purchasing a fair amount of them. She has such an eye for beauty and finding great shots. She has a calm and happy presence, which makes her a joy to work with. She worked with us in the weeks leading up to our wedding to make sure the photos were what we wanted and that everything went smoothly. She invited us out to dinner to get to know us better, which was such a sweet gesture to make our wedding photos more personal. She then mentioned that she’d like to see my Pinterest page for wedding photo inspiration, if I had one. I sent her the link and she proceeded to look through the photos-making comments along the way. I was feeling so excited for our wedding photos! On the day of our wedding, she arrived well prepared with her assistant, her equipment, and print outs of the photos I pinned! She had us recreate most of the shots while also creating our own. We felt so special and like she really listened to us and did everything she could to make sure we loved our photos. The experience was great; she was so fun to work with. She is truly and artist and it’s obvious she loves what she does. We feel lucky we got to have Aprill as our wedding photographer.
