She was able to not only make our vision come true, but provide extremely helpful (and tasteful) suggestions to better what we were hoping for. From the beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean on the front lawn during the ceremony, a spacious and elegant cocktail hour on the patio, a private and intimate dining setting on the back porch, and a beautiful parlor bar for dancing and drinks, nothing could top the wedding that we will truly never forget. We cannot begin to express our thanks to The Spring House and to Tanya for turning our dream into reality!

She is truly great to work with when planning your special day, and has a lot of great recommendations for vendors and details to enhance the day. Our guests loved that the venue had several separate settings, which kept the evening exciting. Our ceremony and cocktail hour were held on the front lawn, dinner was held in the tent in the rear of the hotel overlooking the ocean, and dancing and cake were held in the front parlor. The food was delicious, and the signature cocktails we asked for were incredible. We had perfect weather on our day, but another reason we chose the Spring House is the rainy day options there are also romantic and special, if that is something you're concerned about. I will relive my wedding weekend on Block Island over and over again, everything about it was magical.

d our wedding to be different and memorable and the Spring House was exactly that. Although we were a bit skeptical at first, we loved the flow of the day from cocktail hour on the front lawn / veranda, followed by seated dinner on the back patio and then dancing in Victoria’s Parlor (it is not your typical ballroom with a dance floor in the center and tables around it). Having that movement throughout the night made it so that all of our guests were really a part of everything (no one could just sit there and not dance). Most of our guests had never been to Block Island before so it was super important to us that they got to experience the beauty of the island and why we love it so much. The Spring House provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding day and did not fail to impress. We knew that it was a big ask to have our family and friends travel out for the weekend, but in the end we received so many compliments from all of our guests. Throughout the wedding planning process and all the way up through the day of our wedding, Tanya was incredible. She told me from the very beginning that there was no need for a wedding planner and she was right. She took care of coordinating with all of our vendors leading up to our wedding day and made sure that everything went flawlessly day of. She truly went above and beyond and we felt so at ease having her there. We are so happy with our decision to get married at the Spring House and would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a Block Island wedding!

The day of our wedding was a windy, wet, tropical storm, but Tanya and the Spring House staff took care of every single detail and executed our plan B without a hitch. After the wedding, ferry service shut down for 4 days and the Spring House was so accommodating to so many of our guests who ended up having an unplanned extended stay. She is so kind and so good at what she does, and she and her team will go above and beyond to make sure the weekend goes smoothly and your day is perfect. (I did not do a single thing to help set up on the day of the wedding and it all turned out exactly as we’d envisioned.) Not only did we love the day and the venue, our guests are still raving about it all—the raw bar, the beautiful setting and views, dancing in the parlor with an occasional break out on the porch, etc. No one wanted to go home at the end of the weekend (including us!), and it was really fun to soak all of that up on Sunday morning. I was hesitant to host a big bash of a wedding—and to ask many out-of-town guests to make the trip to the island—and it ended up being the very best day and 100% worth it. Cannot recommend the Spring House enough! It was truly the perfect venue.

My favorite part of having our wedding there was getting to use all the grounds - the front lawn for the ceremony, the gorgeous porch for the cocktail hour, the back tent for dinner and their swanky parlor for dancing. And trust me - the night seamlessly flows even with the change of location. It also didn’t hurt that we had the sunniest June day….BUT their rain plan was also so appealing. The Spring House is the ultimate win-win. But what really makes the Spring House great is Tanya and the rest of the staff there. Someone once told me that “the landlord is just as important as the apartment itself,” and boy could that not be more true of venues and their associated coordinators. Tanya does it all - plain and simple. From the planning to day-of execution, Tanya is there through it all. She answered my million “quick question” emails within hours. She anticipates your needs and always asks the right questions so that your day is exactly how you envision. She treats everyone with respect and is honestly just a joy to be around. I can’t tell you how many friends and family members came up to me and said “that Tanya is just the best.” I’ve honestly never met someone so good at their job (although she is constantly going above and beyond her job description). She is what made our day so perfect and special and I can’t begin to repay her for that.

Set on the hill overlooking the ocean, the Spring House provided not just historical charm but multiple locations (and therefore poor weather back up options) for us to plan our event without sacrificing the 'wow' factor. From the front lawn to covered wrap around veranda, the beautiful tented patio and stunning parlor, each location allowed us to create a curated experience for our guests. Spring House coordinator Tanya was patient, thorough, detail oriented and not only achieved everything we asked her, she and her team went above and beyond surprising us with synchronized plating from the amazing service staff. From appetizers to entrees to dessert and late night food, guests ate every single morsel and are still raving about how amazing the food was. Even my insanely picky dad is still talking about how exquisite his meal was. Tanya was the calming presence everyone wants during a crazy, condensed planning process. She made me feel like my wedding was the only event she was thinking about (despite that NOT being the case!).

She met with us to go over the items we brought to the island and then transformed the whole place to bring our vision to life, working with all of our vendors (linens, flowers, lighting, band) to create beautiful spaces. Everyone is still raving about how amazing our wedding was and they can’t stop talking about the incredible food and drinks – the SH even brought in our favorite oysters for the raw bar! Kevin was also amazing in the hotel booking department; ensuring everything was reserved and blocked off for us – even making sure someone could pick up my disabled Grandmother from the ferry. Having the entire SH Inn to ourselves was wonderful! We truly can’t thank Tanya and the entire SH staff enough for such a magical wedding weekend.

But what I think is most important for couples planning their wedding is how amazing the folks at The Spring House are - they are real professionals who know how to plan a perfect and seamless event and will do whatever they can to make your vision work. They offer many different options for locations and timing of wedding events (ceremony, happy hour, reception and dancing) and then help guests flow from one event to the next that makes the wedding flow so perfectly. We also loved that the venue does so much for you and you don’t have to worry about booking other vendors for every little detail (chair rentals, etc) — so once we booked the Spring House we just had to find music/DJ, photographer, and florist and then worked with the Spring House to plan the other little details. Everything else is included - they even order the linens for you - you just pick what you want! The wedding coordinator, Tanya, is truly incredible and was the best part of wedding planning! She is so much more than a wedding coordinator - she really almost served as my co-wedding planner and day-of-coordinator. She is the best and will make both your planning and wedding itself go so smoothly. We planned our wedding during COVID so had actually never seen the venue in person. Tanya was the best to work with - she is super kind, sweet and supportive. Despite this past year being insanely busy for wedding vendors, Tanya answered all my emails ridiculously fast and was always willing to jump on the phone and chat through anything. A few weeks before the wedding we got nervous about rising covid rates and decided to move the entire thing outside. Tanya and her team helped us get creative and went outside their usually flow of events to help us keep the entire wedding outside, and it still flowed perfectly! On the wedding day she was there early decorating everything for me and executing my vision perfectly. She was essential on the day - helping to coordinate vendors and keeping everyone on schedule. I didn’t hire a day-of coordinator and didn’t need one, thanks to Tanya! Our wedding details: we had an afternoon wedding with outdoor reception/dancing option - which meant our ceremony was on the back lawn at 3pm right into happy hour on the back patio and then the reception. Typically they would do dinner in the dining room and dancing/dessert in the patio - but given covid we had our dinner outside as well and they made it happen! The side yard and patio are absolutely beautiful and I liked it because it feels a bit more secluded from the rest of the hotel so you don’t have any other guests watching your wedding and ceremony. Other perks of the venue —they give you one room to use to get ready in which is beautiful and overlooks the patio and ocean. There are great places for photos around the Spring House, a beach within walking distance, or a quick drive to the Bluffs. Overall the wedding was perfect and exactly what we wanted! I could not recommend this venue and their team any more strongly!

Tayna was so responsive throughout the entire planning process and when we arrived for the wedding weekend she was so cool, calm, and collected which really translated to us and our families. It was well worth having our family and friends travel and coordinate the ferry ride over, everyone that attended was very happy that they made the trip. Our guests loved the view and could not stop complimenting the food! We really wish that we could go back and re-live this day every weekend!

Countless friends and family talked about how free flowing the day was that it was the BEST wedding they ever attended. Add in the impeccable service, quality food and drink, and welcoming hospitality--- you can't beat it. Tanya is a blessing and made the wedding planning experience easy and enjoyable. She kept us on track, helped calm our nerves, and was there to make sure our entire day went perfectly. The entire Spring House staff who worked our wedding could not have been nicer. We worked with one of the bar tenders to create our signature drinks and had a blast during our food tasting event. The food at our wedding was a huge hit with all guests as well - mini lobster rolls, grilled cheese and tomato soup bites, and bacon wrapped scallops were some of the ultimate crowd pleasers, as were the amazing entrees we all enjoyed. Overall, I would 100% recommend the Spring House for your wedding. Between the view, the amazing service, and the best wedding coordinator around, you will certainly be blown away with your wedding day :).
