Spring Meadows Country Club

d space for a ceremony on-site. Spring Meadows gives couples 3 outdoor ceremony locations and follows up with 1 more inside in case of rain - perfect for us. Inside is exposed wood beams and a balcony that wraps around the outside perimeter on 2 sides. They can seat 200 guests. We sat 120 and had plenty of room to mingle and dance. Peggy made planning a breeze. She listened and took very detailed notes on everything that I was hoping for from our first meeting through the rehearsal dinner. She was extremely organized and didn't miss a detail - even thought of ones that hadn't come to my mind! When the wedding day finally came around and we were in a thick fog and the grounds were too saturated to be outside, Peggy had already set up our back-up plan before I arrived to start taking pictures. She kept the entire night flowing so that I could attend to my guests and enjoy the evening without any worry regarding details. For any bride on a budget in south/central Maine, I would highly encourage you to make an appointment to meet with Peggy at Spring Meadows. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and stayed within my budget!!!

cause there was a competing couple and it took a long time to get back to us. In the end we got it, and had the ceremony in the nearby field which was beautiful. I also loved the wrap around deck on the clubhouse. Our pictures were beautiful with the scenic environment all around. The inside is a little worn, but has a unique look the rustic beams and a balcony area. My florist worked hard to hide some flaws, but it turned out beautiful in the end. Peggy, the coordinator was very helpful and always there, we had several meetings with her. The site does catering as well. We did have a tasting and the the food was pretty good, I wouldn't say gourmet, but everyone enjoyed it. The waitstaff on the evening were fair, I couldn't get a drink all night except for my toasting champagne because the servers were all gone, and I was the bride! Overall the location was good, everything turned out very nice, and for the greater Portland area, this was the most economical as well. However, be aware, the town of Gray is very limited as far as hotels, we made all our accommodations in Portland and drove back and forth, reserve your limo early!

She really made the difference as to why I chose Spring Meadows. The grounds are gorgeous, especially in late summer/fall when we had our wedding. They do all the catering right there so we didn't have to worry about that and the food was delicious. We also used them for my parent's 25th anniversary party and they did a spectacular job. Prices are very reasonable as well.
