I knew one of the most important things about my wedding would be our photographer. I wanted so badly to be able to look back at our pictures and remember everything I felt that day. I wanted someone who could break through the nerves and walls and capture us in our most natural and authentic state. I also knew that my chronic illness and disability were going to be very present that day, and I needed a photographer who understood my boundaries and physical limitations, while also being incredibly flexible. I remember thinking, “How in the world am I going to find a photographer who has all of these qualities?” But Lindsay Kooser with Veil Events (@veilevents) did it. She found the perfect photographer for me. For us. For our distinctly unique situation. Stacey (@staceybphotogrphy) was all of those things and more. She worked within my limitations. She saw us for our genuine selves. She captured beautiful, vulnerable moments. She wasn’t just a photographer. She cared. She was kind. She didn’t leave me. She was my right-hand girl. I’ve been struggling with my confidence after being chronically ill for 4.5 years and being unable to properly take care of myself. But Stacey captured me in a way that I haven’t seen myself in a very long time. Beautiful. Smiling. Laughing. Glowing. My husband smiled for pictures for the first time in years. Stacey captured him like a regal prince, and he just looks so damn handsome. His mother and sister were crying when they saw his photos. :) There really aren’t enough — or even proper — words to describe how much Stacey meant to us throughout this journey, or how grateful we are that she was there with us on our big day. Stacey is not just a photographer. She’ll be your friend, too. ❤️

Stacey made my wedding feel like a fairytale! Not only were the photos absolutely stunning, but she helped me every step of the way on my wedding day.  I’ll never forget looking through the photos for the first time with my husband. Stacey did an incredible job capturing special moments such as the dress zip up with my mom, and the beautiful scenery around the venue. She thought of many great photo opportunities that would have never crossed my mind.  I remember at the end of the day, all our guests had gone out to do a sparkler exit. My husband and I did a final last dance together just the two of us, and she captured the moment beautifully. ❤️ I was sad that the night was ending, and she was very encouraging.  The memories of the best day of my life will live on through the moments she captured so perfectly. I’m forever grateful for the time and effort she put into making my wedding day so perfect. If you want beautiful wedding photos and a photographer who is on top of everything, go with Stacey!!
