I emailed Stacey 2 months prior to my event asking for a 3 tier cake. I sent a hand drawn picture and also a picture of other cakes that I liked so she could get an idea of what I wanted. I didn't hear from her so in a week I messaged again, and she replied after a few days. She said she needed time to consider how to make the cake and since we had time, I said ok. Weeks go by and we are at about 1 month to go til the party and I messaged her again. Again it took her a week to reply. This time she said she would be willing to take it on and needed a few days more to figure out how to make the topper. I NEVER heard back from Stacey. I had my cake made at Two Rivers. If I could give Stacey less than 1 star, I would. So unprofessional. It was a waste of my time. I wanted to leave this message because all she had to say was "I CAN'T" but she didn't do that but instead left me hanging. This is the type of business you are dealing with. Keep that in mind...have a back up if you do for some reason, still give her a chance.

Stacey did a fabulous job on our wedding cake! The cake came out just like the picture we provided from pinterest and it tasted delicious! Stacey was fantastic every step of the way and made it such a smooth process! We would definitely use her services again for another event.

We had a wonderful experience with Stacey's Cakes. She created a custom fall foliage-themed cake, delivered it without any issues, and worked within our budget. We got so many compliments on how delicious the cake was. I should also mention that I am a last-minute planner, and contacted her only 3 weeks before our wedding, with no time to come in for an in-person tasting or consultation, and she made it all happen based on my emails and a couple phone calls. Would definitely recommend!

Stacey was amazing! I cannot recommend her enough! Easy to work with, attentive, reasonably priced, and she made a beautiful cake that tasted delicious!

Been using Stacey's Cakes and Creations for all events since she did our wedding cake years ago. My wife and I enjoy her service, her talent, and her creative imagination. Our parties are a hit every year because the cake is the main attraction. Every year more and more guest ask for her contact information and business cards for their own party and I tell them that she's my Cake Lady. Stacey has been a pleasure to work with and a welcomed vendor to our family. If you want the best cakes in the DC, MD, VA market start with Stacey's Cakes and Creations first.

Only person I will buy cakes from. Reasonable prices, taste great and the design details are impeccable. Been using her exclusively for the past 10 years for my event needs and will recommend her to all my family and friends.

We took a risk with Stacey's Cakes and Creations, finding her website after being dismayed at the price and industry of several other locally known wedding cake "factories." Stacey is just getting started out of her home, which means that we got great attention. She came to us to talk about what we wanted, with samples of her flavors and some sketches of ideas based on the monogram/invitation I had e-mailed her just a few days before. The cakes had great flavor, and we loved how detail oriented she was, and how she asked us questions about what we wanted and worked to get a design that was perfect for us. We were already leaning towards choosing her when she quoted us a price - that was HALF of what the other bakeries were charging, and for much more customization! The only downside to the consultation and our interactions were that since she is doing this out of her home, she sometimes had her children in tow for negotiations, and didn't provide us a mailing address (which made me nervous, but I understand). I would have liked her to be a bit more professional in that respect, and that's the only thing that's keeping me from rating her 5 stars. Ultimately, the cake arrived early at our venue, and was GORGEOUS - she hand-designed scrollwork detail on our "monogram layer" and it was almost identical to our invitation scrollwork - a complicated pattern. More than just aesthetics, though, the cake was delicious - we went with orange/dreamsicle and chocolate - one of my favorite candid wedding pictures is me eating both flavors - with a fork in each hand - it was that good! We still have a few slices in our fridge over a week after the wedding, and it is still moist and delicious. If you are looking to go small, local, and willing to have a baker without a storefront, Stacey would be an excellent choice. And, her price is fantastic, too!
