This DJ was recommended to us by our venue since he had worked there before. We had a zoom call prior to hiring and felt very comfortable with him as well as everything he offered ...
to us. Come the wedding day, there were a few mishaps. To start, the ceremony music was slightly mixed up but only by order and was quickly corrected. Then, it came to our attention that the cocktail music was subpar and he specifically told our photographer that even though we sent an entire playlist for cocktail hour, he would not be following it. To preface, we picked ALL of our music and that included processional, ceremony, cocktail, entrances, dinner, and reception. I am very OCD but I knew from past experiences sometimes DJs can make or break weddings and I wanted to make sure I supplied fun music that I know my guests would love. Then came time for entrances and both my mom and photographer felt that the DJ seemed flustered and caused some delay. When it came time to enter to our song, again there was a delay but eventually he transitioned to our song. We had a specific time that the music was to stop and end, which he did not do. He let the song play in it's entirety and we were made to stand on the dance floor awkwardly after we gave him the thumbs up we were ready for our first dance, he thumbs up back but continued the song and just stood there. Eventually it finished and he played our first dance song. Dinner time comes and he begins playing songs that weren't on our list. This upset both my husband and I because we chose specific songs that WE wanted to listen to during dinner that we thought our guest would enjoy as well. The DJ was also in charge of dismissing tables and my mom requested a certain table be dismissed toward the top and he completely ignored it. She asked him multiple times and he acknowledged multiple times but the last time she had to ask he responded, "I've been asked to dismiss multiple tables first and I'm doing my best." The only people who he was supposed to listen to was me, the bride, my husband, and my mom and the only table we requested he dismiss early was the one table. He was also asked by the bartenders, my mom, and some members of my family to turn the music down some due to guests not being able to hear the person right next to him and he did not. Reception time, AGAIN, did not play from our setlist. Multiple songs were played that we didn't have on there and he missed SEVERAL of our must plays. He played one song that he was told not to play as well. When he was told to play from our setlist, he clapped back with, "I have 25 years of experience so I am going to play the crowd." My mom argued for us and stated once again to play our music or to leave. He came up to us and "attempted" to apologize and asked if he had done anything we didn't like. I told him he needed to play the songs we gave him and that was that. The very next song, he played a song from our dinner set and called me out saying "this song was a specific request from the brides playlist," and nobody was dancing to it and it made me look like a fool. The song was meant to vibe during dinner, not dance. He was rude to my cousin who tried to request a song FROM the playlist and he told her no, followed her to her table and told her he already got in trouble from deviating from the list. I had to request songs all night that I wanted played and it was frustrating. This DJ is probably good for school dances, not for OCD brides such as myself.
Do not hire this company! My sons wedding was last night. At 4:15pm, roughly an hour and a half before the wedding the DJ called to tell them he wasn’t coming due to a panic attac...
k. Did not offer up a replacement, just wasn’t coming. Luckily we were able to find a local DJ that came on a moments notice and saved the night. Horrible experience and this company should be reimbursing us for the DJ we had to hire due to the unprofessional manner in which this happened. My only review is BUYER BEWARE!
Amazing experience! Was very patient with any requests I had! Very nice and respectful of the space and guests! 10/10 recommend!
