But his music choices were so perfect, the majority of our guests were on the dance floor all night long. We had the easiest time planning with Darell and he gave us the BEST suggestions and documents to make all our song choices. He had so many amazing recommendations and he helped keep us calm and relaxed with choosing all our music for our wedding. Then the day of the wedding I was just in tears at how perfect the songs were and how well everything came together. The cocktail hour to dinner and introductions and everything in between, Darell was frequently in contact with us and the guests and made everything run so smoothly. THEN the dancing!! Again, words can’t even begin to describe how amazing the dancing and dance floor was! I didn’t leave for a second because it was too much fun ! Every guest had an absolute blast and it truly was the most magical night! I would recommend Stage one in a heartbeat and hope everyone who has DJ needs will hire him! We love Stage One!! My husband is in the military and deployed last year, and Stage One Events was gracious enough to give us a military appreciation discount/gift which we will be forever thankful for! The planning sheet and planning meeting was SO helpful and we ultimately used the sheet as our wedding ceremony/reception outline for the day. Darrell was so enthusiastic about song suggestions and supported us when we wanted to "branch out" from traditional wedding songs which made us and our guests smile and laugh all evening! We had many guests traveling from low altitude, so the fact that Darrell made a friendly reminder announcement to drink water during the reception made me that much more satisfied with his services! The music played through the day and night was absolutely perfect, I was on the dance floor as much as I could be when I wasn't talking to my guests! I would recommend Stage One Events to anyone planning a wedding or event that needs a lively and witty DJ to entertain a crowd!

o keep playing past 10:00, but it's definitely a testament to how much they loved the music! Darrell did a great job of maintaining the flow of events throughout the evening. He kept up the energy while also keeping us organized and making sure guests knew what was happening. We appreciated him checking in with us throughout the evening. It was truly the most fun we've ever had dancing at a wedding, and although our knees are still trying to recover from 3 straight hours on the dance floor, we would absolutely do it all again! We will recommend Darrell to all of our friends, and might even try to crash any future weddings where he will be the DJ!

He went above and beyond making sure things ran smoothly and I loved not having to worry about a thing and instead getting to dance the night away. If you are like me and just want to dance all night but want your DJ to read the room and play what the people want whether they are 19 or 90 then Darrell is the guy for you! He was organized and punctual and he made wonderful suggestions when we weren't sure which songs to use. We only selected songs for the ceremony, entrances, and first dances but otherwise we told him the age ranges of our guests, artists we like, and he did all the work! We had a blast and are so thankful we hired Darrell. I was very turned off by the idea of not knowing or meeting our DJ beforehand which is what most of the big DJ companies do... so we loved knowing Darrell would be there for our day! He was very fairly priced especially given the fact that you are secure in knowing who your DJ is from day one and all the meetings were with him. I recommend Stage One to all couples for their day!

e fancy lighting. Despite being the most affordable DJs we found, Darrell was everything we were looking for and very talented. The planning meetings were really helpful, and it was clear that Darrell understood the type of vibe we were going for. The planning tools Stage One provides were very helpful, especially since we didn't have a wedding planner or day-of coordinator. We definitely felt confident going into the day that Darrell would have everything covered, even with our outdoor venue and reception space in the mountains. Darrell's experience clearly showed as he followed the energy of the crowd throughout the night, and he was able to adjust as he went to keep people dancing. Darrell also went above and beyond in cutting/splicing the songs we used in our ceremony and reception to make sure we got the most important lyrics played without having the songs drag on longer than was needed. Stage One provides an incredible value for their services, and we would highly recommend them for any event!

Initially we did not have a good direction on our own for music, but Darrell made it a seamless process to narrow down ideas and preferences that fit our style and guests. Both Darrell and his wife, Tara, were extremely professional and friendly throughout the whole process. We had a small wedding (42 people) and I was nervous that people wouldn't be dancing, but Darrell did an amazing job at getting everyone out there and kept them dancing all night! I highly recommend Stage One Events for all of your event needs!

guys are amazing, not only at the actual execution of their service, but at all the planning and communication leading up to the event. They communicated well and quickly, asked pertinent questions that come from years of experience to ensure that your wedding is exactly how you imagined it. I can't rave about them enough and this review could go on and on, but I will leave you with one little anecdote that shows their quality. First of, Darrell crushed it as an MC during the ceremony and through the dinner portion of the reception. Then later on as a DJ, he took a moment to remind the crowd (many of whom are not from Colorado and are not used to the altitude) that alcohol has a more dramatic effect in the mountains/at altitude and that everyone should be drinking more water to help balance the effects. I was just so impressed that he took the time to remind people of that and I am sure many of our guests were grateful for the reminder the next morning. Thank you so much, Darrell and Tara, you guys made such a huge, positive difference at our wedding. I don't think it would have been nearly as successful as it was without you. I hope I've done you justice with this review and I will certainly be recommending you via word-of-mouth to our friends when they decide to tie the knot.

e DJ was at our wedding! He listened to what we wanted with types of songs and created a great playlist that kept people on the dance floor right up to the very end. We also added on the photo booth option and LOVED it. They had some fun props and gave us a copy of every picture in a book that people could sign. I would highly recommend DJ Darrell for any wedding or event!

e. We were very comfortable working with Darrell. We had no idea what we were doing but his meetings with us put us at ease. As far as the day of the wedding, everything went perfectly, and he solved things on the fly that we didn’t even know about until after. Our coordinator had not provided him the dossier, but Darrell was very intuitive and was able to do exactly what was needed and what we wanted. He was able to improvise and seamlessly loop the music when needed based on timing not going as planned and still fit how I wanted the processional to go. I gave him a very specific direction of how I wanted the processional song to be done and he delivered. He was able to do the same with our first dance song. Since we were doing a bit of a choreographed (basic) ballroom dance, we needed certain parts cut and he was able to make it sound like the song was made that way. Most special moment was when we asked for a last dance of just my husband and I, he had everyone leave the room. I looked up while dancing expecting him to still be in the DJ booth, but he had stepped outside the door as well to give us that extra private special moment. The other best moment of the night was when a drunk guest that we definitely did not want to give an unplanned drunk speech grabbed the microphone off his booth without asking him, or anyone, and tried to give her drunk speech…he kept the music turned up and the microphone muted. Still appreciative AND laughing about that one. Thank you so much for everything!
