Stage One us not only a DJ service, they have so many add on services. Photo booth, lights, beautiful letters to use as initials. Darrell and crew are not only professional but also friendly and knowledgeable. Hard time picking songs, full of suggestions from the past and present. Very knowledgeable of all types of music. They have done the music of both my children's receptions. Highly recommend!

Darrell DJ'd Mark and Lauren's wedding in September. The ceremony was outside on a hill and the reception and dance in a large barndominium. He brought enough to set up at both areas without missing a beat at either site. The effort made to make the night perfect for the kids was appreciated and he kept the wedding on track and us dancing late into the evening. Thanks for the good time. (yes he is my brother, but you can ask anyone who attended, it was a great time). Destination wedding? Major Venue? it doesn't matter he will make sure you have a good time.

Darrell was absolutely fantastic! He is not just a great DJ, he helped emcee our reception and make sure that things ran smoothly. When I was getting overwhelmed with planning the wedding, I had a meeting with Darrell and he walked me through the day step by step and helped me plan. On the day of, he basically acted as a day of coordinator to make sure that we had the best wedding ever. I can’t thank Darrell enough. He is fantastic!

From the start Darrell was great to work with. One thing we wanted was a full dance floor and he helped us accomplish just that! His music selection kept everyone dancing and also provided seamless transitions throughout the night from ceremony to cocktail hour, to reception. Darrell with Stage One Events absolutely killed it, we can't say enough how incredibly happy we are with our experience!! He routinely checked in with us, kept everyone on track, and was a big help picking out the type of music we'd like to play. We didn't provide a playlist, only certain music genres, and we weren't sure how many of our guests would be on the dance floor. But his music choices were so perfect, the majority of our guests were on the dance floor all night long. We were absolutely blown away and incredibly impressed, we highly recommend Stage One Events.

Words can’t even begin to explain how perfect our wedding was all because of Stage One Productions!! From the moment I found him on The Knot, I knew he was going to be the one. After meeting with him and getting to know him, his personality, and what kind of Dj he is we were immediately hooked and booked him right away! Darrell is extremely talented and absolutely loves what he does. His rentals were out of this world stunning! The Photobooth was incredible! We had guests there all night long and got back a personalized book with all our guests photos and signatures. The best weeding keepsake we could have asked for! We had the easiest time planning with Darell and he gave us the BEST suggestions and documents to make all our song choices. He had so many amazing recommendations and he helped keep us calm and relaxed with choosing all our music for our wedding. Then the day of the wedding I was just in tears at how perfect the songs were and how well everything came together. The cocktail hour to dinner and introductions and everything in between, Darell was frequently in contact with us and the guests and made everything run so smoothly. THEN the dancing!! Again, words can’t even begin to describe how amazing the dancing and dance floor was! I didn’t leave for a second because it was too much fun ! Every guest had an absolute blast and it truly was the most magical night! I would recommend Stage one in a heartbeat and hope everyone who has DJ needs will hire him! We love Stage One!! We are so so pleased with how our wedding planning and wedding day played out thanks to Stage One Events! Darrell was such a joy to work with as he is very knowledgeable about his music and equipment set up, and most importantly he clearly loves what he does! Darrell is an excellent communicator, and thrives on helping people celebrate and have an unforgettable day with their loved ones. My husband is in the military and deployed last year, and Stage One Events was gracious enough to give us a military appreciation discount/gift which we will be forever thankful for! The planning sheet and planning meeting was SO helpful and we ultimately used the sheet as our wedding ceremony/reception outline for the day. Darrell was so enthusiastic about song suggestions and supported us when we wanted to "branch out" from traditional wedding songs which made us and our guests smile and laugh all evening! We had many guests traveling from low altitude, so the fact that Darrell made a friendly reminder announcement to drink water during the reception made me that much more satisfied with his services! The music played through the day and night was absolutely perfect, I was on the dance floor as much as I could be when I wasn't talking to my guests! I would recommend Stage One Events to anyone planning a wedding or event that needs a lively and witty DJ to entertain a crowd!

This is THE BEST wedding DJ of all time! Our guests absolutely had a blast and we owe it all to Darrell! I'm not sure if he’s ever had so many wedding guests attempt to bribe him to keep playing past 10:00, but it's definitely a testament to how much they loved the music! Darrell did a great job of maintaining the flow of events throughout the evening. He kept up the energy while also keeping us organized and making sure guests knew what was happening. We appreciated him checking in with us throughout the evening. It was truly the most fun we've ever had dancing at a wedding, and although our knees are still trying to recover from 3 straight hours on the dance floor, we would absolutely do it all again! We will recommend Darrell to all of our friends, and might even try to crash any future weddings where he will be the DJ!

Darrell was absolutely wonderful! I could tell from the moment we had our first meeting that he was going to be one of the DJ's that I could rely on to keep the dance floor full all night. He 100% delivered and then some by even acting as almost a coordinator for our timeline. He went above and beyond making sure things ran smoothly and I loved not having to worry about a thing and instead getting to dance the night away. If you are like me and just want to dance all night but want your DJ to read the room and play what the people want whether they are 19 or 90 then Darrell is the guy for you! He was organized and punctual and he made wonderful suggestions when we weren't sure which songs to use. We only selected songs for the ceremony, entrances, and first dances but otherwise we told him the age ranges of our guests, artists we like, and he did all the work! We had a blast and are so thankful we hired Darrell. I was very turned off by the idea of not knowing or meeting our DJ beforehand which is what most of the big DJ companies do... so we loved knowing Darrell would be there for our day! He was very fairly priced especially given the fact that you are secure in knowing who your DJ is from day one and all the meetings were with him. I recommend Stage One to all couples for their day!

Darrell was such a pleasure to have on our special day! From his knowledge of the venue, promptness with weather changes, flexibility and attentiveness we knew from the start we were in great hands! Darrell was an absolute delight to work with. He was super fun, high-energy, and really brought the party! He played all of the songs we requested, did a great job MC'ing, was very communicative leading up to the wedding, and was overall just super great. I can't recommend him enough!

We loved working with Darrell and Tara! We had a no-fuss mountain wedding and wanted a DJ that would provide a good time but wouldn't upcharge for a bunch of unnecessary things like fancy lighting. Despite being the most affordable DJs we found, Darrell was everything we were looking for and very talented. The planning meetings were really helpful, and it was clear that Darrell understood the type of vibe we were going for. The planning tools Stage One provides were very helpful, especially since we didn't have a wedding planner or day-of coordinator. We definitely felt confident going into the day that Darrell would have everything covered, even with our outdoor venue and reception space in the mountains. Darrell's experience clearly showed as he followed the energy of the crowd throughout the night, and he was able to adjust as he went to keep people dancing. Darrell also went above and beyond in cutting/splicing the songs we used in our ceremony and reception to make sure we got the most important lyrics played without having the songs drag on longer than was needed. Stage One provides an incredible value for their services, and we would highly recommend them for any event!

Our wedding was last month and everyone loved DJ Darrell! My sister even said that if she gets married in CO someday she's booking him! Darrell really knows how to read a room and transition songs smoothly to avoid any awkward silence on the dance floor. He and his wife also provide a welcome packet with suggested songs to help you make decisions on your special moments, and I thought this was super helpful. Our dance floor was packed all night and we owe that to Stage One!

Darrell is amazing!! We just got married last Saturday, and he did an astounding job. We had, what felt like, a lot of special requests, and he did a phenomenal job making our music dreams come true! He had people on the dance floor all night and kept the night so fun, and perfect! I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. He was one of my favorite vendors, and I would use him a million times again.

My husband and I got married at Rist Canyon Inn and found Stage One after the venue made a few recommendations. I knew immediately after meeting with Darrell that he was the right fit for our wedding. Like someone else noted, there is a good reason why Stage One has so many positive 5-star reviews. He is so friendly, down to earth, and clearly knowledgable about his work. Initially we did not have a good direction on our own for music, but Darrell made it a seamless process to narrow down ideas and preferences that fit our style and guests. Both Darrell and his wife, Tara, were extremely professional and friendly throughout the whole process. We had a small wedding (42 people) and I was nervous that people wouldn't be dancing, but Darrell did an amazing job at getting everyone out there and kept them dancing all night! I highly recommend Stage One Events for all of your event needs!

We loved working with Darrell and Tara. From the first phone call they made us feel really comfortable with the services they provide and on the wedding day, Darrell did an amazing job, not only DJing, but keeping the wedding flowing all night, I would recommend him to anybody looking for a DJ in the Denver area.

A skeptical person might see these reviews and say "all 5 stars, that's fishy..." but I can assure you, after working with Darrell and Tara every single star is well earned! These guys are amazing, not only at the actual execution of their service, but at all the planning and communication leading up to the event. They communicated well and quickly, asked pertinent questions that come from years of experience to ensure that your wedding is exactly how you imagined it. I can't rave about them enough and this review could go on and on, but I will leave you with one little anecdote that shows their quality. First of, Darrell crushed it as an MC during the ceremony and through the dinner portion of the reception. Then later on as a DJ, he took a moment to remind the crowd (many of whom are not from Colorado and are not used to the altitude) that alcohol has a more dramatic effect in the mountains/at altitude and that everyone should be drinking more water to help balance the effects. I was just so impressed that he took the time to remind people of that and I am sure many of our guests were grateful for the reminder the next morning. Thank you so much, Darrell and Tara, you guys made such a huge, positive difference at our wedding. I don't think it would have been nearly as successful as it was without you. I hope I've done you justice with this review and I will certainly be recommending you via word-of-mouth to our friends when they decide to tie the knot.

Darrel was an amazing DJ at our wedding. He and Tara kept in touch throughout the entire process and were understanding when we had to reschedule our wedding in 2020. They were great to work with and very professional. Darrel helped the night run smoothly as emcee and everyone had a great time!

DJ Darrell was AWESOME! He and his wife Tara were great to work with throughout our process. They were friendly, helpful, and down to Earth. We got so many comments on how great the DJ was at our wedding! He listened to what we wanted with types of songs and created a great playlist that kept people on the dance floor right up to the very end. We also added on the photo booth option and LOVED it. They had some fun props and gave us a copy of every picture in a book that people could sign. I would highly recommend DJ Darrell for any wedding or event!

My husband and I were so happy we picked Stage One to do our wedding! They were awesome and worked with us during COVID and changing our date. Super easy to work with, you tell them what music you like and they take care of the rest! Best night ever!!

My husband and I are so happy we chose Darrell and Tara for our wedding. Weddings are stressful enough, and even more so when you’re planning it from across the country like we were. We were very comfortable working with Darrell. We had no idea what we were doing but his meetings with us put us at ease. As far as the day of the wedding, everything went perfectly, and he solved things on the fly that we didn’t even know about until after. Our coordinator had not provided him the dossier, but Darrell was very intuitive and was able to do exactly what was needed and what we wanted. He was able to improvise and seamlessly loop the music when needed based on timing not going as planned and still fit how I wanted the processional to go. I gave him a very specific direction of how I wanted the processional song to be done and he delivered. He was able to do the same with our first dance song. Since we were doing a bit of a choreographed (basic) ballroom dance, we needed certain parts cut and he was able to make it sound like the song was made that way. Most special moment was when we asked for a last dance of just my husband and I, he had everyone leave the room. I looked up while dancing expecting him to still be in the DJ booth, but he had stepped outside the door as well to give us that extra private special moment. The other best moment of the night was when a drunk guest that we definitely did not want to give an unplanned drunk speech grabbed the microphone off his booth without asking him, or anyone, and tried to give her drunk speech…he kept the music turned up and the microphone muted. Still appreciative AND laughing about that one. Thank you so much for everything!

10/10 would recommend Stage One! Darrell and Tara were so amazing to work with! Coordinating with them was great and they work with you to create everything you want. We greatly enjoyed working with Darryl and Tara. Darryl is always prepared and had a backup sound system for us when the venue sound system wasn’t working. He helped create a mashup for the father-daughter dance with a scratching sound in the middle like it was a mistake. We fooled everyone! My only regret was not getting my brothers reaction on camera!

Our DJ was amazing! He worked with me on choosing each song for ceremony, grand entrance and rehearsal. Whenever I wasn’t sure what I wanted played during a certain time of the night, he knew exactly what to play based on my personality and preference of music. I had several people tell me the next day how great our DJ was and how he played good songs all night. He even spent over an hour going over the timeline and details before the wedding so we knew exactly was going expect going into it. He really helped us with keeping on schedule throughout the night And helped guide our guests from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. Was super impressed with him and highly recommend!

This is the best DJ! He was so organized and in COVID life was still able to give us the photo booth props we so badly wanted! He was absolutely amazing, going so far as to find me a safety pin when my bustle broke! Above and beyond

Darrell was awesome at keeping the pace and had some games that kept the night going. He and Tara were very easy to get into contact with and so detail oriented. The music selection was awesome as well. We ended up moving our timeline up a little since we had such a small outdoor wedding in the cold and Darrell was ready for anything! He kept the night running smoothly and did an amazing job!

Stage One Events is THE BEST. Book'em ... that's all you need to know!! But seriously, Darrell and Tara are completely on top of planning (even for an ultra- planner like myself), and they execute flawlessly the day of the event. On top of that, they are super fun, outgoing, and bring an energy that will keep the fun (and dancing) going all night long. Going above and beyond, they supplied fantastic lighting and even wood-worked initials to incorporate into our decorations. I truly cannot speak highly enough about Stage One! Tara and Darrell were wonderful to work with. My wife and I had 180 people at our wedding, and a lot of them can be a little wild. We had a vision of what we wanted and they made a point to cater the entertainment to that. We were well informed, their layout was in-depth, yet easy to follow. They played what we wanted, and made sure that we could have a “do not play” list. Their communication was second to none, they were on the ball with every request. Stage One did an amazing job for our wedding! Darrell was super helpful with creating a special song (mash-up) for me to dance to with my mom/father-in-law. This was very important to me since my father has passed away and I was unable to do a traditional father-daughter dance. I also used their photo booth at the wedding and it was a HUGE hit! All of my guests loved it and we loved the extra photos they gave to us in a photo album.

Darrell and Tara are such a great duo and helped make our day go incredibly smooth. I am the type of bride who stressed over the tiniest of details, but after all was said and done, the day wouldn’t have been complete without Darrell and Tara. This family duo is fun loving and easy to get along with and truly has your best interest in mind as a bride /groom. He was more than accommodating for my every request (we even requested to play the lava song from Pixar and they found it for us). Darrell kept the party going all night and we never wanted to leave there dance floor. He was also by far one of the most affordable DJs which I so appreciated as I was a bride on a budget. Last minute, we decided to do their photo booth package they offer and I’m so glad we did. The pictures turned out great! It could’ve have been a better night and they were a huge part of that! We had a perfect experience with Darrell! He listened to our specific likes/dislikes, asked questions I had never thought to address, and ended up being way more than just the guy who plays the music. Stage One Events is THE BEST! My husband and I listed music/DJ as one of the most important things for our wedding, so picking a DJ was a big decision for us. Our Day of Coordinator (Luxe Event Productions) suggested Stage One Events and is was the best recommendation we received! Tara and Darrell were extremely helpful, attentive and patient leading up to the wedding. During the actual wedding, Darrell was not only an amazing DJ but emcee as well! He worked seamlessly with Luxe Event Productions, helped control the schedule of the ceremony and reception and was so great with checking in with me throughout the entire day. And I'll add that I picked unique versions of songs for walking down the aisle and for our first dance and Darrell CAME THROUGH. It made it beyond special. I can't express how grateful my husband and I are for Stage One Events!

Where to begin on how AMAZING Darrel and Tara truly are.... if there are any two people in this crazy time of wedding plannning you should choose to have by your side it’s Stage One Events. When I first emailed them, and Tara immediately responded same night, I knew they were amazing people, however that was just the start of how wonderful they truly are! We had a longer then most planning time and sometimes months between communication with them, and they never forget a single detail. They created the MOST PERSONAL wedding we could have ever dreamed of. From creating our monogram to meeting us at Starbucks on more then one occasion to making sure we were not to hot at the reception. They are very knowledgeable in all genres of music and how to keep all guests entertained through the entire time. They created a very memorable wedding for us, and our guests have not stopped commenting on how wonderful of job they did for our wedding! I can only give them five stars on this site, however they deserve 500 million stars! CHOOSE STAGE ONE EVENTS!!!!!

Darrell and Stage One Events were amazing! They went above and beyond any expectations my husband and I had for our wedding! Darrell kept things flowing and very organized. He also was great at judging what kind of music our guests were into to keep people out on the dance floor. Darrell and Tara were very easy to work with, and helped create our dream wedding!

Darrell did a fantastic job at creating an environment for a “ let’s get out there and dance!” wedding. He heard and honored our requests as well as gave great suggestions based on his experience. He played music for the guests to get them pumped and laughing while they danced the night away. He did have a couple of technical issues but he handled those so smoothly that our guests were completely unaware. Definitely recommend Stage 1 Events. A shout out to his wife and business partner Tara. She was always a joy to talk to and was so accommodating.

Darrel was absolutely stellar from the beginning! He helped us get organized and envision what we wanted and delivered exactly that on the day! The music choices couldn’t have been more perfect!

The only reason I didn't give Darrell and his team 5 stars is because the communication at the beginning could have been better - and there were a few songs on my "please play list" that I'm not sure were played. However, the music for the wedding was perfect! He put together a special mix for the father/daughter and mother/son dances and we have heard that the mother/son transition was one of the best our guests have ever heard! He listened to what we wanted and delivered! Everyone had a blast and kept dancing!

Darrell was so awesome! He's high energy and fun, which is so important for a DJ! He helped walk us through everything we needed to know about song cues, what to do as we transition from the first dance into the father-daughter dance, etc. Our wedding was on a Monday night, so a lot of people had to leave early which really scared me that our wedding would end 4 hours early, but Darrell knew just the right songs to play to keep everyone out and dancing until the last song! Even when my husband and I went to sit down for a glass of water we found ourselves standing right back up because there was no way we could sit through the next song! I am so impressed with how well Darrell understood out taste in music, too. We gave him a short list of "do play" and "don't play" and he perfectly blended my love for the 80's with my husband's taste for hip-hop and pop. We also had some peculiar songs chosen for our ceremony (One from Lord of the Rings and one from The Witcher 3), but Darrell had no problem finding them even though we only let him know we wanted the song from The Witcher 3 three days before the wedding! Even my father (who's hard to impress) said Darrell was who he was most impressed with out of all our vendors.

AMAZING DJ! I saw Darrel at another wedding and knew that I had to book Stage one for my own! I got married in December, and even through the busyness of the holidays Darrel and Tara went above and beyond to help us plan all fo the music and timing for our day! We didn't even know what artists we wanted them to play, but after meeting with us and asking us some questions about ourselves they found the perfect playlists that were classy and fun and fit our wedding day perfectly! I could not have handled this on my own! We are SO thankful for how kind, professional and fun this DJ was for us! I recommend them to everyone!

Darrel is SO much fun!!! He helped me to make music decisions because I can be super indecisive and knows his job so well! You can tell that it is a passion of his. He is hilarious and did such a great job of coordinating so that I didn't have to worry on my big day! HE ROCKED!

Darrell was the DJ at our wedding reception on 11.11.17. We could not have have chosen any one better for it. He was so great by always checking with us how things were going and making sure that we were happy. His set up was so professional and he had lighting to match our color scheme. We hired Stage One Events to DJ our wedding on July 21st, 2017 at Ellis Ranch in Loveland, CO. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Darrell, he did such an AMAZING JOB!! Both Darrell and Tara were so friendly and easy to work with. Both of them made sure our special day was everything we dreamed it to be and more. Darrell went above and beyond our expectations, fulfilling the duties of both a DJ and a coordinator. He met with us a few weeks before the wedding to go over every detail, he gave helpful suggestions when we were at a loss for songs to pick, and even brought up adding music/songs to areas of the ceremony or reception that we hadn’t thought of before. He was very organized and made everything go so smoothly on the day of our wedding, but at the same time was very fun and kept the party going well into the night! We cannot begin to say enough about how wonderful Darrell is! We had two planning meetings with him before and he was enthusiastic about helping to put our ideas into reality and making great suggestions from all of his experience. His wife, Tara, was also wonderful to work with. She was excellent at communicating and would always respond promptly to any questions. Darrell did an amazing job the day of our wedding. Our family and friends danced the entire evening and we received many compliments about the great variety of music Darrell played. He also did a wonderful job being the MC during our reception ensuring that the evening went smoothly. We cannot recommend Darrell enough!

If we had to do our wedding over again on a severely reduced budget, our guests would bring a sack dinner and Darrell would still DJ. Stage One Events was irreplaceable for our wedding. They helped us out with song choices, order of ceremony, and move insurance claims (for all the ones that were busted on the dance floor). During the ceremony Darrell wheeled his portable PA set up to our outdoor ceremony location. His set up was more than adequate for our 100+ person ceremony. Once our vows were complete he waited for the crowd to disperse and scurried to our reception location several blocks away. For dinner Darrell played some string versions of modern rocks songs allowing conversation to not be taken over by the music. Once the dancing started, it never stopped. The choice of songs was not a statement in artistic snobbery, but rather an essay in fun. Darrell managed to pull my introverted friends, our club going wedding party, my 70 year old mother-in-law, my punk rock friends, and my boot scooting buddies all out onto the floor all night long. I CANNOT praise his mastery of being DJ enough.

I cant say anything more then amazing. Darrell and Tara are AMAZING and we feel so blessed to have had them apart of our day! So blessed!!

Darryl was great, he really did a wonderful job getting to know my husband and I before the big day and was able to keep our guests up and moving through out the night. Everyone had a blast dancing. Darryl also was able to keep the microphone from people that we didn't want making toasts and certain songs that we asked to keep off the playlist he refused to play so we knew he had our backs as the bride and groom. He's very knowledgeable and up to date with current music so there's no fear of him not having you're fav 90's tune. Highly recommend Stage One for your musical entertainment.

Darrell did the most amazing job getting everyone up on the dance floor and keeping the party going! He picked music that was perfect for the mood and he really went with the flow. He made great decisions for when to keep the music going, or when to pause to do the cake cutting, generation dance, etc. The planning process was also a breeze and he made me feel so comfortable that he would do an awesome job. I had high expectations and he managed to exceed them!! You can't go wrong working with him.

Without Darrell, our wedding would not have been as wonderful as it was. From the planning process to executing everything so seamlessly, made for a very stress-free day. I would recommend Darrell for any event whether it be weddings or even corporate soirées. I am personally in the event planning industry and have worked with my share of DJ’s. Darrell was absolutely fabulous! We had an outside wedding and needed a sound system so people could actually hear the ceremony. Darrell's equipment worked great and our guests all commented on how easily they could hear what we were saying. We asked for a custom mix of a song and based just on our description of what we wanted he nailed it. Our guests ranged in age from 15-75 and at one point or another he had everyone on the dance floor. We loved that he let the music play and isn't that DJ that feels like he needs to talk all of the time. He made the few announcements we requested and then let us dance the night away. Throughout the evening he'd check in with us to see if we wanted to adjust the music at all, but we were actually thrilled with what he was playing. Add to his fabulous DJ skills, Darrell is a great guy to be around and works very hard to ensure everything goes off without a hitch!

Darrell was the best DJ I could have asked for. He drove from where he lives to use twice to meet and discuss the wedding and get to know our personalities so he could choose music based on that, he was so helpful with suggestions when I had trouble making decisions. He is great at coordinating with other vendors so that the day goes smoothly. I am so so happy we chose to work with Darrell, I think he really made the wedding fit our personalities well!

I hope I will be able to articulate how truly amazing Darrell was for our wedding reception. I met him at a bridal show and I knew he was the one when he and my mother-in-law connected over songs. He added some flair to his playlist while we were there, so I knew he'd have all the songs we'd want. I felt a connection and my husband felt it too at our first meeting. From the start he kept us on track and helped plan the soundtrack for the evening. His music collection spans generations and genres. I believe everyone at our reception found music to dance. He worked so well with the venue staff, if a problem occurred that night...I didn't know. I actually looked to him to find out where I was supposed to be a few times. I had a special request for a song during the "father-daughter" dance and he had the information ahead of time so he was able to accommodated the request and I am so grateful. It was perfect. He also went above and beyond to help me surprise my groom with a song especially for him. I cannot thank Darrell or Tara enough for the amazing work they did for our reception and absolutely made it a night to remember.

Darrell was an indispensable part of our wedding in early October in Estes Park. He made the entire ceremony and reception run smoothly and gave us the best dance party ever! Darrell had the difficult task of incorporating both Latin and American music throughout the wedding and he did it perfectly. Darrell kept both the ceremony and reception running on time and with appropriate musical cues. The planning process was also excellent. Tara, his wife, answers emails and calls quickly and thoroughly. I was a bit apprehensive that One Stage doesn't offer the personalized website that others do but I actually found their approach to be more personable and it was easier for me because I wasn't having to upload material. I've received nothing but high compliments from the guests that attended about DJ Darrell. Thank you for making our wedding everything we'd hoped it would be!

We had our wedding 2 weeks ago and we were so happy we hired Darrell (Stage One Events) as our DJ. He helped us keep things moving and on track for toasts and entrances for the reception. I recently got married In Colorado. We are from Arizona so planning was difficult from afar. Derrel and Tara was so awesome! When we were first looking into booking with them, they wanted to do a video chat to kinda get to know Dylan and I and really what we were looking for the day of our wedding. During that First chat we really connected with what he had to offer and how professional he was. Derrel was always willing to accommodate any request we did have. I got married at a friends house and we had the reception in another location. He was willing to travel to both of those locations to dj for us. The day of the wedding He showed up on time and did all music I requested perfect. He packed up super fast and got to the reception. During the reception before he made any sudden moves with what we would do next he ran it by us and even asked if we wanted to change anything last min. I thought that was really awesome! He stayed all night with us and played the perfect music for our crowd. Overall Stage One Events was so awesome! Affordable as well! Highly recommend

My husband and I got married on June 24th this year. We cannot say enough amazing things about Darrell and Tara! Not only were the willing to meet with us around our crazy schedules, they helped us incorporate all of the special things we wanted to do that made our wedding day perfect! They were incredibly organized and responsive during the whole process! Even with a surprise rain storm Darrell had everything moved and ready to go inside before we knew it! Darrell was absolutely amazing! He helped us every step of the way. He listened to our requests and really went out of his way to make us happy. Darrell was very personal and professional and really made our wedding shine! All my guests were very impressed and thought the music was "fun, entertaining and unforgettable". I would highly recommend Darrell for any wedding or special occasion. He is very creative and has many great ideas.

My husband and I got married 8/27/16 in Loveland, CO. We got married in my parent’s living room with immediate family and grandparents. Our reception was outside at a park pavilion in Loveland. Our original plan was not to hire a DJ, load songs on an iPad, hook it up to a speaker and play it from there. I am so very glad that we changed our minds and our plans. I met Darrel and his family at a bridal show in January 2016. My bridesmaids were so impressed with the binder they had with the planning tools and time lines. His son was a sales man and had my matron of honor sold. After some discussion with the girls I decided I would go with Darrel, which was the best decision I made. My mom talked to Darrel about both our Ceremony and Reception (we were just going to do an iPad for the ceremony as well). At first my Dad said no to having a DJ at the ceremony because it’s in their living room. Once I explained my visions and what the DJ would do my dad loosened up a bit and was more open to the idea. Darrel came to the house months in advance to see the set up, and reassure me that it would all work out. I am so glad Darrel was at the ceremony. He played a couple songs at the beginning, one in the middle and then one as we walked out husband and wife. He was able to put a microphone on the officiant who has a very soft voice. Our grandparents, all hard of hearing, didn’t miss a word. When we presented the grandparents with gifts Darrel played a nice song for back ground music. Darrel made the ceremony run flawlessly!! At the reception Darrel was phenomenal. Every time I would think of something to ask or tell him he was right there asking me. With our reception being nontraditional Darrel did an outstanding job to accommodate our vision. He made sure music was played softly while people ate so they could visit. He got the party started right on time! He made sure the cups were full when it came time for toasts. We had one person give a toast that wasn’t on the list and Darrel went with it. After the cookie smashing Darrel kindly brought me both wet and dry napkins and helped me clean my face. We had multiple last minute song requests that got played. Many people commented how fun the DJ was! Darrel did everything we asked for and more. Looking back this day would have been a disaster without Darrel! My favorite memory – thanks to Darrell – was the special dance my husband and I shared with my 92 year old grandma. Darrel was able to make changes to our original plans and make a better plan! I would highly recommend working with Stage One for your big day. Darrel met with us the week before to run through everything one last time. Darrel took my stress away and made the day one I will never forget! Thank you so much Darrel!

I am not one to usually do reviews, but with Darrell and Tara at Stage One I had to. My husband and I originally weren’t going to have a DJ at our wedding, but our event planner suggested Darrell and Tara at Stage One because she had worked with them before and really liked them. One of the hesitations we had in hiring a DJ was because we don’t like a lot of attention on us. We didn’t want someone making us feel like we were in the spotlight 24/7. We also didn’t want a loud and obnoxious DJ. We explained all of this to Darrell and by the end of our meeting we knew we wanted him to DJ our wedding. We didn’t have a second or third pick, he was it. He made us feel relaxed and confident that if nothing else the music would be awesome and it WAS!! Darrell made our day very special and I think part of that was because he treated us like family, he did everything we asked and more. He even made sure things ran smoothly from the beginning of our reception to the end. I truly can’t express how happy we were with Darrell. One thing that I will always remember is when Darrell and I were going back and forth to finalize the timeline and songs for the wedding when he told me he had an idea for our introduction song; we were having a hard time coming up with one. He told me “I have an idea for the intro song that I think you will absolutely love, and after meeting with you last time, I think you will love it even more if it is a surprise to you as well.” We only met with Darrell twice because we were on a short time line, but in those 2 meetings I knew Darrell knew what he was doing. I felt he really enjoyed what he did and would go out of his way to make sure the couples he was working with feel special on their day; he truly did that for my husband and me. In the end the song he picked was a song I would have never thought of but was the PERFECT song for us and he was right I loved it! Thank you Darrell for making our special day even more special!!

Darrell is just AMAZING! It is going to be tough to articulate just how much my husband and I love Darrell! From day one he was upbeat and super friendly. While we only met a couple of times in person, Darrell and his wife, Tara, always replied to our many emails and kept in constant contact with us. Darrell was very professional and organized! He is basically a GOD at his job! You can tell he truly loves what he does and he does great work!! He helped us create our wedding day timeline and then followed through on the day!! I had guests comment about never attending a wedding that actually started on time; ours did because of Darrell! He was basically our “day of” wedding coordinator! Our reception was truly the best and it is because of him! He read the crowd and played music everyone enjoyed. He made our whole day just absolutely amazing and we couldn’t have chosen a better DJ!! We’ve considered throwing another party, just so we can hire Darrell again!! We highly recommend him to anyone and everyone looking for a DJ; if we could rate him 10 stars out of 5 it would happen!! My husband and I got married on June 18, 2016 in Grand Lake, CO. We used Darrell and Stage One for our DJ services and could not have been happier! From the beginning of the planning process Darrell and Tara made everything so simple. I did not use a wedding planner and their approach to everything was as stress free as possible. Because we live several hours away, I was unable to meet with them prior to the wedding, despite their many efforts. We talked on he phone several times to get a plan in place and everything worked out beautifully on the wedding day. They were easy to get in contact with, very personable, and an excellent resource! Darrell did a great job of keeping everyone dancing all night long. He used the bare bones list I gave him and somehow read my mind with every song he played. I would highly recommend Stage One Events!

I can not say enough good things about Darrell and Stage One Events! We hired Darrell for our wedding and was impressed since day 1. We walked into initial meeting nervous and not knowing what to expect, and left knowing immediately that we HAD to have Darrell as our DJ. He was so outgoing and friendly. He put us at ease immediately and it didn't take longer than walking to the car to know that we had to hire him. We could not have been happier with our decision. My now husband and I have different tastes in music and Darrell was able to find a happy medium between incorporating those as well as music that the guests like. We were dancing all night and everyone was so happy! Darrell worked with us on a song for our (surprise!) choreographed dance, as well as worked with my sister on a secret rap she made for her toast! He was there whenever we needed anything and guided us through the whole process in an almost seamless way. He also did up lighting for us in the room that looked FANTASTIC! He was able to match our colors perfectly and it completely transformed the room. We absolutely 100% recommend Darrell for your DJ needs. He absolutely made the party!
